There seems to be a disconnect in communication at this facility. I originally reserved a 10x15 non-climate controlled unit. Upon arrival I was told they didn't have it available. They said they could get me a 10x10 non climate controlled and that they would also give me a 10x5 but it would be climate controlled. While I didn't need a climate controlled unit I felt this was a fair move and I get that mistakes are made. The said they had to get ahold of "HQ" to get pricing adjusted and they don't open until later because they are in Arizona. Again, got it, I told them I would be back around 11 with a truckload of household goods, they said that should be enough time. I came back around 12 and went in to get my units to find that the. 10x10 that was outside was rented while I was gone and that instead they got me a 10x10 and a 10x5 that were climate controlled. While this seems like a 'win' this is where things got bad. I had moving labor with was costing me around $100/hr, I showed up to the unit and the guy with long hair working at the front desk could only tell me the plan but want actually able to rent me the unit and for every question he would say "I don't know what to tell you". He then said he wasn't fully trained and that he had only been there 6 months. This seems like plenty of time to train a person. After about a half hour I walked in to see if we could just start moving into the unit even though I didn't technically have it rented. He was very unsure, after more convincing he "allowed" it. The problem with the climate controlled facility is that it added additional time to how long I needed movers. With an outside non-climate controlled unit I could pull up to the door and load directly into the unit. With the climate controlled facility they had to load items on a cart and transition through hallways and up an elevator to get to the unit. This effectively tripled the time needed to unload the truck. This cost me around $400 in additional labor costs plus additional money (maybe $150) for me to extend my truck rental and find additional movers to move the rest of my belongings. Would the facility have had the 10x15 drive up unit that I would have requested for the date and time I had requested things would have been fine. The second issue came the day I moved out. I rented a 26' truck from this facility. I showed up to get my truck, was going to use the 'self pickup' feature available online and I can't find it. Went into the shop and they said "it's because a truck was never assigned to you". They then had to check their inventory for a truck. When I got my truck it had 1/8th of a tank of gas. I feel like this is a bit ridiculous. While I'm sure that this is because previous customers didn't fill the truck up I do know that they charge a fee if you don't return the truck with the same level you left at. Seems like the store should have taken the time to put some gas in it before they passed it off to the next customer. Note: the feedback section says " Please contact the U-Haul Storage Facility and try to resolve any disputes before leaving feedback.". I didn't do this. The facility had hurdles for almost every step of my move.

You need a review category for "the process"... I reserved a trailer to move from Oxford to Atlanta and was told that Holly Springs was the location closest to our need (45 minutes away) and we could pick up there. Saturday I show up to pick up my reserved trailer in the specified location (Holly Springs) and was informed "sorry, no trailer here." After making calls and sitting on hold, I find out we'd been switched to a new location in Tennessee - 45 minutes farther away. I've now spent 1/2 a day trying to track down a trailer I had reservations on... Phone attendant tells me my reservation is a reservation, but not really a reservation it just puts you in the system - even though I'd given someone initially my credit card to hold the trailer - and simply, sorry that's how it works. Evidently an email had been sent advising me of the pickup location change - but we were travelling to the location to move from and emails weren't checked at this time. IF SOMEONE IS SCHEDULED TO PICK UP FROM A LOCATION AND THAT GETS CHANGED, CALL THEM, TEXT THEM, GET ACKNOWLEDGEMENT THAT THEYVE RECIEVED THE MESSAGE. Or better yet, get product to the location you'd guaranteed it. Failure to receive the message cost time, gas and frustration from me, when it should have been Uhaul trying to deliver on the product they'd promised..

My original invoice was for $133 and credit card shows a charge for $139. Upon returning the truck the receipt adjusted to $113 as I drove less than originally thought. Hopefully my credit card will be reimbursed accordingly.

Upon picking up my uhaul equipment brake lights were out, tires low among other things. I've been trying to speak to someone within your organization to tell of the near accident I almost had because of your company's negligence. The lady working the counter was very hard working and professional but way over worked. The site was very understaffed. The trailer lights were not working properly as connected, only two of the three safety chains were connected, I heard the emergency break chain dragging and connected it. The trailer also had a tire that was losing air and I had to air it up daily. Luckily I always carry my own emergency compressor.

I was given the worst vehicle possible. When it started raining, the roof leaked causing it to leak all over me, the seat and dash. I have video proof if the powers that be with uhaul want to see it. This was the worst experience with uhaul by far.

The customer service representative who checked us in didn't instruct us where the location of the security check in/out point. So the alarm repeatedly went off at unit assigned not knowing where to swipe security card. Therefore we had to return to the office for specific location of check in device. Some inconvenience do this matter. This could have been avoided initially if it were totally explained during check in. Customer service representative shouldn't assume everyone's aware of the location of security check in/out device. Thank you for your concern. Sincerely!

The pick up was a total disaster. There was miscommunication or no communication about the pick up location. Once we arrived, (reservation was for 8AM, but location didn't open until 9:30) the front desk receptionist was rude and couldn't “do rentals” even though we were told to pick up at this location. Once we arrived at the “rental” location (the 26ft truck was at the pick up location) they couldn't rent us the truck because the keys were in a lockbox to which no one seemed to have a key. After already being 3 hours behind our original pick up time, we were rented a 20 ft and a 15ft truck that then cost us double gas for the almost 600 mile move. There was never an apology for our inconvenience or not being able to accommodate our original reservation. We were given a discount but still ended up paying almost 200.00 more than the original reservation quote, plus the additional 200.00 in gas for the 2nd truck. This is an unacceptable way to do business and we will not be giving a favorable review on social media and will be reporting this experience to The Better Business Bureau. This reservation was made 2 weeks prior to a relocation move that was already challenging, as well as a checkin to confirm, and this experience created more stress and aggravation for our move. We do not recommend U-Haul and there are systemic changes to be made at these 2 U-Haul locations to improve the experience for all future customers. The email communications were confusing and gave incorrect information.

Pick up the phone when it's ringing. I literally let it ring for I don't know how long so I drove up there to make my reservation, how inconvenient that was. Do you want the business? I'm not the only one having the same issues, I know for a fact.

U-Haul sent me a message the night before scheduled pickup that the trailer was ready and good to go. I show up the next day and not only is the trailer not there, but they tell me the previous renter still has it and you don't have another trailer like it for like 50 miles around. I had to leave and come back later, as thankfully the renter returned the trailer. You shouldn't say a trailer is ready with your automated systems when it's not even returned.

My husband and I went to the storage facility waited 10 minutes to be helped, the person who helped turned us away and said there were no available storage rooms although we saw in the screen a large amount of empty spots. We were told they only help people with online reservations I went online a few hours later and reserved a storage room. Very poor customer service

The AC wasn't working and it was 92 with humidity and the head lights don't work at night. I complained about that to the guy at front desk and he replied that he doesn't have ac in his car and it sucks. I am like dude I paid for your service and I expect everything to in working condition for what I paid. Over all worst customer service and worst equipment I wouldn't go there again.

This was the worst Expereince. Started off with Uhaul Nashville renting me broken truck causing me to have tp spend money for another nite in a hotel. After getting a new truck to drive to Memphis, I was supposed to have a storage unit available to rent 3 miles from my home. When I arrived at the SHelby Drive location, I was told no unit was available and had not been available for years. Was told no units were available in Memphis and one would need to be found. One was eventually found in COollierville, over 20 miles from my home, necessiating atr least 2 hours round trip to travel, retreieve my things and rreurn home. Have spent time and gas driving there with no access to my unit bc rthe manager took days to pay my "complimentary, sorry we effed up free storage.". Just had to pay movers over $300 extra bc we needed to make two trips to recieve my things in storage. The Collierville mangaer has been rude to me. He told me I should be "grateful" for them giving me a unit. No Mr. Napolean complex. I do not have to be grateful for y'all giving me a unit 25 miles from my home and to have your white staff be rude to me at every encounter. No, sir. NOt today, Satan. I have monghs of free storage availble bc it has b=never been avialble with my truck rental. I will probably never use it bc thi has been such a shitshow of an experience.

The only negative was I had to call at 6pm the day prior to pick-up to confirm our equipment and location for pick up. It worked out okay, but caused a little stress for us as we were leaving the next day. Otherwise, everything worked out as expected and our move went well.

I dropped off my trailer with one of the employees 27 hours before the due date, was promised the everything was set. I then received a phone call the next day saying that I never returned my trailer. Customer service helped after the original call hung up without explanation, but this whole situation has left an overall very poor impression.

I had to keep the truck 1 extra day and was quoted 20 by a lady, the next person that called told me 40. When I arrived at the drop the actual price was 54 plus tax. Everyone needs to be kn the same page. 1 extra day cost 1/3 what the whole trip cost almost. I was not happy

I've tried calling this location plenty of times. I moved out on September 25th. I had a contract up to 6 months due to Covid. I am a student and I was paying 34.95 a month. Now that my contract was up in July. I am still being charged for October's monthly rent. I am not pleased with this level of service. I spoke with someone in the 19th letting them know that I moved out beforehand. After looking at my move out record it says I moved out on the 19th of October which is completely false. My bank account was charged -34.95. I need a refund ASAP. Just horrible

There was only one issue, a slight glitch in the computer system allowed the young man assigning our unit and the young lady helping another customer to assign the same unit to both customers. Was a bit awkward when we drove over to the unit to discover we were both assigned the same unit. The young lady on staff however quickly found the glitch, was very apologetic, and was able to assign us a new unit. Both employees were very pleasant and helpful.

I enjoyed storing my furniture and valuables at U-Haul over the Summer. I always felt safe and secure whenever dropping things off. The unit was extremely clean and free from cobwebs and other critters that you tend to see in storage facilities. I will recommend this storage to my friends and family in the future.
