The attendant was rude, he gave us a truck with a different plate and info then was on the paper receipt he printed us and when we notified him he said yea i know and would not print us a new receipt. When we came back to return the truck he wanted us just leave the truck, I asked for a receipt with all the correct info since he could not produce it when we picked it up, he got upset and yanked the keys out pf our hands and stomped away.

Rent trailer from Wednesday to Sunday. Return trailer on Sunday and uhaul charged me for extra day Monday???

Nothing. I was thoroughly satisfied. When the first trailer I rented was not fit for my move (ramp was too narrow), they quickly traded it for a model with better dimensions. The whole process was painless and the staff was great to work with.

I told the agent that I needed the trailer for more than the allotted time so they charged me 3 extra days and said if I return the trailer early, I would get a refund at the other end. That never happened. Tanglewood told me that the Antioch agent should not have charged me because extra days are always charged by the drop off agent. So it looks like i am out $20.

It needs to be very clearly advertised that this location DOES NOT HAVE ELEVATORS OR RAMPS. I had to pay extra to get a ground floor unit which I had not budgeted for because it is advertised that there will be elevators and carts for use.

I have had numerous issues from a trailer hitch & wiring and uhaul denting up my car, my wiring has never been the same to they "accidentally canceled my account while I was storing my items in a locker there and paid on time and was paid up, they also charged me for gas in a truck I borrowed after I put gas in it. We got locked inside the building 2 times which was crazy it was waaaay b4 closing hours. So I canceled my account with the Antioch uhaul and asked for a prorated return of money as I left my unit 2 weeks early.. I've called left messages and no return call. So no I'd never recommend Antioch uhaul. My wiring on My car is still not working Vito says it was my car, which I call bull crap bcuz I had zero issues until the day they installed my hitch & I picked it up day one.

had to rush to get unit back by 7pm - otherwise have to wait till morning is not good / NOT EVERYONE has the ability to do your after hours procedure / everyone does not have a smart phone and business should not be 100% based on that / I did not have the following day to drop so it almost became a problem

The day rate on this 26' ft truck was very good compared to the competition. I also liked the simplicity of walking in and getting the truck. Return was easy as well. Too bad I'm moving because Antioch Uhaul has kind of grown on me for my moving needs.

I really like the deal on the cargo van. The 750 miles was right at two round trips to where I'm moving. Very competitive. I had a reservation with Penske and canceled it because of the deal.

An employee agreed to rent out the only pickup truck a few hours before I was scheduled to pick it up. Didnt get shit in return other than a my bad. Dont rent the fucking truck when it's SCHEDULED by a loyal customer. Instead a dirtbag motormouth got the truck

Yesterday I used Uhaul’s Chicago Best Movers, LLC and they were excellent. They kept me informed as to their exact time of arrival, they were very careful with all of my boxes / furniture / dishes. Buyer beware! U-Haul will let you make a reservation online and let you think that you have a storage space the size you asked for on the day you asked for it, when in reality they don’t have it available for you. I showed up on the day I was moving all of my furniture out of my house thinking I had a big storage unit to put it all in. When I arrived to get my unit I was told they only had small ones available. Small ones that wouldn’t hold all of my furniture. I ended up having y rent two small units from uhaul and another small unit from another place to stuff my furniture into. I contacted the manager as I was told to do and he just told me that I would be paying the same amount for two small units, not caring that my stuff wouldn’t fit into them. I will never rent from Uhaul again.

My rental unit reservation was given away to another customer. I called and confirmed my reservation with this location and they said that I was set and just to come in when I could to get the number. Yesterday I came in to move items in and the unit was gone. Luckily, the rep there stated that he had 3 units that equaled my original size and that all 3 units would only cost what the 1 unit was originally going to cost.

The only issue we had was every time we accessed our locker 1923 the alarm went off VERY LOUDLY so it took time to go to front desk where I was told it was the alarm for 1925. He verified access was granted but had no explanation as to why alarm was going off. He told us alarm would turn off, which it did, but it was extremely loud and inconvenient.

Yes there is one thing that could be done when the lights turn on when it is hot a certain temperature that fans turn on the same time the lights turn on to circulate the air and ventilate the hot air out because it was extremely hot taking the rest of our storage units out in February it was very miserable when we put everything in in the summertime that should be looked at and they should come some kind of an elevator or a ramp to help the poor people with these storage units that would be well well deserved other than that everybody was kind and thoughtful and thank you very much from Patricia Cockrell

Next time, I would not get a second floor unit. It has no elevator or any cart to help move stuff. Plus, I would never get a unit in the middle of the walkway either.. too much to walk plus one has to deal with the steps.. should be the cheapest unit!

Great facility for what we needed. we moved our RV to the Uhaul facility in Grayslake as it was closer to home, covered, and had access to power. A bonus was the gate for a sense of added security. Thanks to Arnold and the team for everything, would definitely come back if the situation arises.

Second floor was a b@@@. Trying to get anything moved in when sliders closed at 7pm was a pain in the a@@. Looks like the 2nd floor wasn’t mopped in a month.

My account went delinquent over 2 years ago and I had to forfeit the unit which was unfortunate but oh well. They told me it was going to auction February of 2020 And that it was too late to pay it off.. Then 6 months later they get ahold of me telling me that I had another 6 months of rent plus delinquent fees racked up and that the unit was not sold. I told them I wasn't gonna pay over a $1000 to just send it to auction. Here we are August of 2021 they just told me they sold it for a $140 that I have to pay the difference between that and $2800. They lied to get my bill up so they could rake me over the coals when I was clearly not in a good financial situation.

I was ready to give this facility better ratings but when I needed to access my locker I found it was locked, with a tag claiming I had not paid my monthly fee. However, I was able to provide the payment receipts to show I was in good standing once the store opened and should not have been locked out. Unfortunately this situation came as I was trying to move my son to his new residence in preparation for college, and we were delayed several hours in loading our U-Haul rental and getting on the road.

Advanced Notification should have been made if the reserved unit (10x10, split level thats temperature controlled) was not available. That was what I had reserved. Instead I have 2x 5x10 units that are not temperature controlled and only upstairs upstairs. I went in to get an additional lock and waited for over 20 minutes and didn’t see anyone inside or someway to ring for help. Another associate should have been there vs having one person on duty on a Saturday morning which is probably a very busy day for this location. I left and came back like 30 minutes later. Service was redeemed with the second / final guy who finally helped me with the missing lock and then with the truck return.

The roof is leaking throughout the building and was above out unit the entire time. We complained multiple times and had to have them shopvac the top of our unit at least 10 times well we were there. Our stuff only stayed dry because we bought our own tarps and made a separate roof for the unit.

This facility needs more workers I waited 30 min to get help, I could see the frustration on the employees face he needed help and he was doing his best but couldn’t handle the amount of customers , what is available on line is not what is available at the store , I was told I would receive a call to confirm my storage unit yesterday , I’m still waiting! , I will have to go back today and hopefully get an answer? How can you rate a store when it’s not the employees fault, hire more workers!!!!!
