Excellent serviceâ€¦truck cleanâ€¦but needs shocks and overall suspension check. It has 186K on it and felt worn out when drivingâ€¦might be time to replace. People at the location we're very friendly and helpful. Tia explained everything well and offered options on how to return truck. The return was seamless and thorough. I was charged for a furniture dolly that I was not given. I wanted an appliance dolly. They did not have one. They did not remove the charge. I went and rented one in the Duncanville location. That became inconvenient having to make separate stops to return stuff..PERLA B.
I drove almost 2 hours to the Cedar Hill Uhaul company for a trailer hitch to be installed on my car. I was very satisfied with the excellent customer service from Demarius who did the install on my car. He was very professional, knowledgeable, thorough, & kind along with his coworker Jassiah or John. I'm a customer service rep for a Home Healthcare Agency that ensures all 400 plus employees provide 100% quality customer service to all our 1,000 plus patients. Picking up was quick and easy with reservation. Nice friendly staff. Drop off : Paid for 6 hours only used 3 1/2 returned truck on Full. Young lady at drop off checked truck out says "All good, you are good to go." We left but then received a receipt charging an extra 10$. Complaint is not the amount but the extra charge on credit card after the fact. We wanted to pay any difference in cash in person.Howard M.

I return my truck, the guys said we will check it in. I ask well can you check it before I leave they said it will take a while so I said ok, I also told them they had a truck outside idling at the return station, so a hour or so later I get emailed a receipt saying I was charged for fuel I am a regular customer and never had a problem. Had to make the employee go outside and inspect the trailer and had to ask for a receipt for the inspection done. Was told not to worry about any damages (no damage was done) and that they just pass it on to the next person. Mmmm. Not sure what they meant but I will be watching my bank account for this reasoning from staff.Kylee E.
1st- when I reserved i designated that I did NOT want mobile pick up. My reservation changed 4 hours before pick up to a different location (and never confirmed with me) which was closed at time of pick up and required mobile pick up which did not work on 3 different phones. Last minute when speaking to uhaul over the phone (which had horrible customer service) they changed it to the cedar hill location. We arrived essentially 3 minutes before closing to pick up the uhaul because of how late we were supposed to pick up. 2nd- the guy working the desk said "you know you're messing up my schedule, right?" EXCUSE ME?! So sorry your company sucks and is making you work... it literally took us 5 minutes to get everything signed off on and out of there- we left at 7:02pm. 3rd- our return time was the next day at 7pm. Upon arrival, they once again said it had to be a mobile drop off. The associate working said that if she had to help us, it was going to be a $20 surcharge. Again, I'm sorry, you are working, correct? So it costs me $20 extra to have you do your job? So once again we tried to do the mobile- even connected to their wifi- and it still didn't work. So we left the truck per the associates direction. She stated to call the mgr in the morning to have her remove the $20 surcharge. Luckily when I received my final bill, they did not charge the surcharge. This was probably the worst experience renting a truck. I have moved 13 times in my life and typically always have rented penske trucks. I will continue to rent penske from now on, solely because of how horrible this experience was.HOLLY P.

John I think his tag said he was the owner, but I find that extremely hard to believe. The customer service he provided was the absolute worst I've ever experienced. He did not greet us, or the other couple that was in line before us. He acted like we inconvenienced him by coming into the store. The experience definitely rubbed me the wrong way. The trailer that we had reserved was not exactly what we needed. We really needed one with a ramp but there weren't any available close by. The person at Uhaul suggested a motorcycle trailer which had a ramp and worked out great. All that we were moving was a small refrigerator. The only thing is that I reserved an appliance dolly online but they didn't have any.GREGORY S.

The access card kept malfunctioning, the staff was helpful and they fixed the issue over and over again, but what if it happens after hours when no-one is around? They said that they would provide me with a beeper instead, but didn't have any at the moment so they provided me with a code. I had storage since December 2017. I had a large storage and there was some water damage but UHaul too care of that with my claim. I couldn't take it all so I rented a smaller storage to keep the remainder until I could pick it up. Picked it up, no issues and checked out. It was a very positive experience for me. When on the phone getting a quote, I was not made aware the price did not include taxes. Only found out when I arrived at the facility after making the 20 mile trip from my home. The initial monthly phone quote of $154.95 went to $167 and some change. Not that much money on a one time deal, but will add up for our new RV that we had planned on keeping there for as long as we own it which will equate to years.
