The tire pressure gauge was either faulty, or the tires all had a slow leak. When I picked up the vehicle both drive side tires were 10lbs under the recommended pressure. We filled them up twice on my journey. This caused the truck to pull to the left. That was the only issue. Otherwise it all went well.Meghan M.
The representative couldn't find my reservation and had to re-do the reservation. I requested a pick up time of 10am and we did not get our truck until 12pm. The pick up location was changed twice. The drop off location was changed from what I chose (which was about 5 minutes from my storage unit) to a location 20-25 minutes outside of where I wanted to drop off the truck.Kathy R.

The location was good and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The issue was that the UHaul system/network seemed to crash when we attempted to pickup the truck on Sunday evening. This caused us to have to pay for two days of the rental (as we finally got the truck during working hours on Monday) as well caused way too much heart ache.Peter G.

I was lied to by customer service. The location rented out the equipment I had reserved. I should have received the $50 reservation guarantee and was told that I would by a very nasty woman in customer service, but this was not honored.Christophe P.
I had reserved a 26' truck three weeks prior to my move date. I was assured I would have the 26" truck for me to use along with a furniture dolly along and a hand cart dolly. The problem was this location did not have the furniture dolly for me to use and the hand cart was very rusted and dirty. Thus all the boxes I moved had to be clean before the could be set down on the floor so the carpets and hardwood flooring would not get damaged. In regards to the truck I was only able to use a 20' truck instead of the 26' truck that I had reserved. The main problem is I was charged the same price for a 20' truck compared to the 26' truck I had a reservation for. Please note the 20' truck is 6' shorter thus I had to make a second trip to my storage unit because I was unable to fit all my house hold items in this truck. I should have only been charged for 28.75 mile for one round trip. But since your company failed to supply the truck requested I was forced to drive a two round trips and was charged for the extra miles caused by your company. I am formally requesting a refund of $22.71 for the additional mileage charge. Please note this problem is not your local Uhaul dealer's, fault, but more of lack of supervision by the Corporation of fleet needs by location. Have the sales person have someone check the air pressure in the tires before releasing the trailer. The tires had 50 lbs in both tires, the placard stated 65 lbs. I adjusted the tires to the proper 65 lbs pressure requirement before I loaded the trailer with 1000 lbs motorcycle.Anthony T.

Im not happy with my service that i received at all. Started with trucks being switched on me when i licked up my rental. Pickup truck that was rented should not have been used with car hauler. A 1/2 truck is not heavy enough even though your app said it was. I put fuel in truck to exactly where i had it when picked up. Paper work says it was wrong on that truck which it wasnt. So i was charged extra for fuel. Im so dissatisfied with my service that I won't use u haul again or recommend anyone to as well.MICHAELDOUGLAS B.

Large facility . A large sign is needed to direct truck returns to proper location. We parked in front of the building at what appeared to be the office door. It was locked. The office we needed wad located along the side of he storage facility near the back of the building. Once in the correct location truck drop off was fast and easy. I left truck cleaner than when I picked it up! Inside was not cleaned nor was outside. This is unacceptable especially in light of Covid. Tech spot sprayed exterior spots when we were assessing vehicle condition. It took 45 minutes to pickup vehicle because pricing kept coming up wrong. Once I started driving, I noticed a hole in the windshield right in front of the wheel. I called and was transferred to 4 departments, took over 1.5 hours and no one could tell me what to do. I could not get through to pickup location so no one could tell me whether they would have another truck for me. Due to delay at pickup, I was late to meet helper at storage unit so I could not go back. I had also filled the truck by 5PM so would have meant unloading entire truck and reloading to replacement vehicle. Therefore, I drove all the way to Gainesville, GA with my sight impaired by the hole in the windshield. I am still suffering from migraine! I also had to call roadside assistance after getting on highway in Syracuse Tuesday morning because tire light came on. I had to drive to their location to save time, however that set my day back 2 hours. They assessed it was the monitoring system that needed maintenance. it remained on/off entire trip which was stressful.PATRICE M.

I drop the cargo van off on Sunday at 5 PM. Only one U-Haul employee on site taking care of many returns. He did the best he could under the circumstances, but it would've been nice if there had been two employees to handle that crowd.And the one employee was very nice and accommodating, which I gave him credit for under the circumstances.Debra F.

Was not happy that the truck we rented was extended to person renting it before us. They informed us if this when we got there. Only reason we went out if our way to this location was because they were supposed to have the truck. So we made a longer trip to get the truck, longer trip to return the smaller truck we had to take instead and spent more money on the long run because we had to make more trips with the smaller truck therefore used more mileage and an added trip and a half of tolls to and from our destinations on the Thruway (which than we would have. Although rep was nice, no offer of discount due to this. Not sure why Uhaul would allow someone to extend a rental if the truck is reserved by someone else for the next day and the truck size is in high demand. This makes the purpose of a reservation moot. We had no choice but to take the smaller truck because we had to be out of the house that day. Was not happy that this happened. Maybe thinking of the next people who need the truck would be something to consider when extending people's usage of vehiclesâ€¦or doing something for those that are inconvenienced due to this policy. This Uhaul site on Thompson is super. Efficient, friendly staff and decent level of inventory, along with extensive supplies store.David P.
After hold times on the phone for over an hour and then to be hung up on I finally got in touch to make an appointment to put an electrical trailer hookup on by going to the Thompson Rd Uhaul in Syracuse, NY. I was told the vehicle would be done that evening. Hold times of over an hour so I drove 45 minutes to find the truck in the same spot, nothing was done. The truck was done the next day, no call, I had to show up again. Drove the truck home and hooked it up to my trailer's electric hook up and started driving. The lights where going on and off constantly cutting out. I took the truck and trailer to my mechanic, and he told me that the wire was on a circuit rated below the 12volts needed, the wires had been run along the front steering shaft and the exhaust manifold of all things! In addition the system was grounded out with a self tapping screw through the bed of my truck and sticking out of my bed liner! The bed liner which was supposed to keep out water so that my truck bed does not rust out. Now I need to spend money not only to rewire the work that was supposed to be professionally done at uHaul but I also now need to replace my truck bed liner. You did a sub par job on wiring my truck. I would appreciate my money that I spent there to be refunded to me as well as compensation for replacing my bed liner as well. I will try to get in touch with customer support on the phone tomorrow if I have an hour to spend on the phone on hold. I was charged with items that wasn't even there. I returned the truck with a full tank and didn't get any compensation. I didn't see any receipt upon returning the truck and receipt came 3 days after with wrongful charges on it. Whole experience is horrible.Yating Y.
By contrast, the receiving facility was a pleasure to visit and deal with. The gentleman who received the trailer was concerned about it's condition and when I explained what happened he told me that what I was told was against company policy. He unhooked the trailer and was very professional. I could tell that he was a credit to the company and it make me realize that, hopefully, not all the uhaul locations were like the one I dealt with in Wilson, NC.Thomas C.

Computer system is very slow and not inefficient. The attendant had to keep starting over because it would restart on him. I was there for over an hour. It would also be helpful to be open for the office longer than 7pm. It was an inconvenience multiple times. I stopped in a few weeks ago to reserve a storage unit, and the process was simple. However, when I showed up yesterday there was no reservation to be found. The person helping me (I think her name was Stephanie) got me set up with a storage unit pretty quickly and got me one in a good location, so no harm done. Between the facility and the customer service line, I was overall annoyed by the service. I just needed to cancel and get a refund on a storage unit I no longer needed. The first call center rep I spoke to sent a msg to the facility, the facility never reached back out to me. I called back, the next rep blind transferred me to another rep after being on the phone with me for 10 minutes, then the next rep blind transferred me as well. I went to the facility, the rep at the desk did not know how to cancel a storage unit reservation. I've never worked for Uhaul but I was able to walk him through the dashboard to cancel/refund. If the guy behind the counter didn't catch that the computer gave me 2 5x5 and not a 5x10. I have no complaints about the staff. Both of my visits to the facility they have been helpful and professional. It also appears to me to be a well kept facility. My only complaint is that both times I have gone they seem to be having system issues causing everything to move very slowly, having to re-enter information because the system is not cooperating, etc. This lead to long wait times and I have to imagine your employees and other customers get frustrated.
