We didnt get the truck size we wanted the gave us the 20 footer Elisa advised me that we would not be charged for the extra days. Also Jesse Bostick advised the same. When I returned back the truck they toldd me I had to pay 2 days worth. I told them what happened even had email from Jesse but they did not want to listen. I left that location very angry. I had to speak to customer service waiting over an hour to speak to someone. Brian advised he will refund the 2 extra day. I feel I should get more compensation for what I have gone through. Not only did I not get the truck as I booked a month and a half ago but I could not drop off in Brantford because the truck they were suppose to give was damaged. So I had to come back to brampton to drop it off, I am not happy at all with the service I received from U haul. I have a big family and this move was not easy. I hope I can get some compensation from U haul for the lack of service I received from the beginning to the end...Kam PablaKam P.

I wish the rental system didn't require a credit card only for rentals. If there is some way that funds can be held in the same manner while using Visa Debit or Mastercard Debit, it would make rentals so much more easier for the customer.Bryan R.
This location is usually fantastic. The first trailer they wanted to give me the lights were not working. The one they gave us had a little garbage in it, nothing crazy. The bolt on the fold down ramp was difficult to open and close. When we returned it at 4:45pm they were closing at 5 no one helped us take it off. None of this was a big deal for us but for someone new to trailers it could be difficult.JO-ANNEE C.
Originally, I was given a truck with no clear indication of where to even find it on the lot. After quite a bit of searching, I found out that the truck was parked behind another. Went back to the front desk to ask if someone could move the truck and they accidentally cancelled my reservation in an attempt to change my truck for some reason. I do not understand why a simple thing as moving a truck so I could access my rented truck, turned into me having to go through the entire rental process again. I asked if my credit card was double charged and they said that the first charge was reversed (it still isn't). Once I was finally able to access my rental truck, there was previous damage to the front driver side. Opened the trunk and found a dolly (those are rented out) just laying in the back. I had to drive the truck to the rental area for them to take the dolly out and tag the front bumper on the driver side with a zip tie. All in all, my rental process took about 2 hours. Mind you, I had booked online and ahead of time to avoid the long wait as advertised by the company. Finally! I had rented a u haul truck and could get on with my moving plans. As I drove out of the lot and got on the main roads, I noticed that the car was pulling to the right at speeds above 60km/h. Turns out the alignment of the truck was off. Probably from when the person who damaged the driver side bumper rented this truck. I made do with compensating for the alignment issue since it was easier to deal with than the staff at the uhaul rental location. Overall, my experience renting with uhaul at this particular location was terrible. I'll be keeping a close eye on my credit card statements to ensure that my first rental charge was reversed.ISHANRAKESH A.

I feel that U-HAUL should have their employees walk the customers to the appropriate pick up vehicle and ensure the keys are in the vehicle. I had to walk in three times to get assistance. Also, to be more specific when dropping off vehicle after hours. We had no idea where the drop box was kept. however, I was pleased to get a vehicle the same day without having to book in advance.Estelle A.
The Hey 10 and vodden location is a mess . I booked a auto hauler , went there payed for it went to hook it up and then they told me it was broken . I had an issue with getting my own account as it linked up with another family member. My entry code was not working and I had issues with my card swiping in. The trailer was not available at the location I chose, even after the website said it was. I was double charged because I didn't return it at the planned time, despite having to go 400 Km's out of my way to pick the trailer up. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Ever. Your staff completely screwed us over with the size of the truck, and the location of pick up a day before our first Move. Christy (reservation manager) didn't help at all or get back to me. Head office hung up on me when I expressed how upset I was, and when I called head office again it was basically a â€œtoo badâ€ situation. I was told I either take what they offer or I can cancel. I originally ordered a 20 foot truck pick up in Woodbridge drop off in caledon, they call me a day before saying all they have is a 15â€ truck and pick up and drop off in Brampton, 40 mins away from both locations I needed. It's pretty clear that Uhaul has a hidden Agenda of not having trucks for people and sizes and not telling them until a day before so they have no other options. I came Saturday and the vehicle trailer was damaged. I couldn't pick up my reservation. The lot person couldn't pull the ramp out while I was there. They didn't want to document it. Another girl told me to call the 800 number to get a reimbursement. Because they purposely didn't document the failure the csr from uhaul said that it was me because I didn't take it. When I went back to the store On Monday to pickup another trailer they only dicounted 16$ and told me to bring back in the morning. I returned it this morning and there put back the 16$ that was deducted. Another note: I understand that the lines are busy but I waited over an hour on the phone to talk to someone for customer service just for them to tell me that the store told me that it was my fault that I didn't pick up the first trailerFrank M.
Dealing with uhaul has to be one of the least satisfying things you can do as a human. There is zero local Customer service as there is no chance you can ever get a hold of the actual location that you would like use by phone. Instead you are directed to some call center in the USA who has zero idea based on geography what you are talking about in regard to location for pick ups and drop offs. Further when you are forced to book online with your poorly made website and drop downs there is very little chance you even get the actual product You booked when it's time to pick it up. Instead your spend 1 hour attempting to book on line. Then you get phone calls, text messages and emails stating what you reserved is not available so we have a different item for you to rent that is more than likely not what you asked for. 1- I booked a 1 way enclosed trailer for 1 day. It was going to work out great. 2- I show up they don't have an enclosed trailer I need to take an open trailer oh and it cannot be a one way rental so please mess up my plans to drive and extra 200 km to drop it off back at the original Location 3- the website stated the location was not Open Sunday / when I called to confirm I was left on hold and was forced to drive back a day early to drop off trailer on Saturday only to find out the sexists was wrong and the location was open Sunday I cannot stand booking / using your products. But let's be honest. There is no other option. You have done a great job at that. Do not overcharge your customer We put gas in right before we return the car, have receipt thay still charge us for gas. When I come to this location lady name Rajnit (she said she is manager, was on her cell phone texting did not pay attention to line up customer) did not want to return our money did not look even on the receipt. The entire experience was horrible, not only at this location but also your online booking platform is trash. I get a call a day before my reservation (that I made a month previous) to be told the equipment is not available. They offer me a smaller truck but with unlimited mileage. It's a pain in the ass but I accept. it, because what choice to I have. Then I show up at the location just to be told "we dont see unlimited mileage" on file. The manager was even rude and implying it was not possible the person on the phone told me this. After making me wait an additional 20 mins (after already waiting an hour in your rediculous line), they finally gave me the truck. I get in it just to find the bloody damn thing had 1/8 a tank of fuel. So now in addition to me delaying my move an hour and a half, I have to also fill up fuel because someone at Uhaul was too damn lazy to maintain the equipment. I am almost certain you are charging people for fuel when its not returned with edequate fuel, yet you are not refilling it? Then what are you charging peple for? Then to top off this entire rancid experience, I get dinged for fuel even though I returned it with more fuel than the 1/8 it was given to me, just to be told I was given a "Credit" for returning it 1/4?? What kind of shady ass practice is that? Sure enough, I will be 1000% sure to NEVER use Uhaul again my entire life.PATRICK B.

When I arrived at the location the trailer was not there. I waited two hours and it still not arrive. I had to change the location pick up. To return it we spend two and a half hours to drive to the this location to return it. In total this added 12 hours to our time just to rent a trailer. Uhaul gave us a $50 credit for added time. You do the math. I asked that the area manager call us so that we could talk about our situation. No call.Mark W.

My initial request was for 26ft truck. As it wasnt available, i took 15ft at this location. I made a request to Uhaul traffic team to change the pickup location to near by neighborhood dealer but no one was interested to work on my request. This would have saved me $10 just on gas. We had reserved a 26 ft moving truck. I have an email confirmation and a representative from this location called to confirm this a few weeks ago. On moving day we were given 20 ft moving truck instead and were told that's what our order indicated. I have no idea how our changed to this. I have many experience with Uhaul. Good booking system, excellent follow up and staff are mostly friendly. Please do some thing to avoid the time wasted in line up. I booked an order a month ago for 15' truck. At the last moment they called me and said its not available. I am so frustrated of uhaul that i would never recommend to anyone. They offered me 10' truck which didn't fit my luggage, i had hard time moving. Worst service ever. This was my first and last booking from uhaul. I would never recommend or use uhaul from nowonwards. "Keeping a reservation promise". I am very dissatisfaction with the service I received and the lack of ownership for the errors made on your part. After reserving a 26' truck to move a 4 bedroom house From 1 city to another with the"reservation guarantee" I was given a 15' truck that only held 1 room at a time with soft tires. 7 trips and $150 in gas â›½ later I was slapped with an almost $300 bill and 3 previous charges that were taken off my credit card. I had booked a one way trip from brampton to orangeville and with out my concent my pick up location was changed and I no longer had a one way trip. Called costumer service and was assured I would still be able to get a one way trip. When I went to pick up my truck I was told I couldn't have the one way trip and told if I dont return it they report it stolen. The online order process is terrible and as someone who rents a trailer a couple of times per month it is not at all user friendly. The process seems predatory to try and get me to order stuff that I don't want. I submit all my information and then even upload pictures of my license every single time then i get to the location and it is again a very slow process, I do not see the benefits of putting all the info in online as it saves me no time. Upon arriving to the UHaul address there was a very long waiting line. I lined up for well over two hours. Upon arriving to the counter, I reconfirmed my already confirmed reservation and provided all appropriate documents to complete the rental. I was prompted to take my mask off, take a photo of my face and provide it to the app. At the time of reservation I was not prompted nor made aware of such process. A humiliating reverse discrimination. Nevertheless exposure to danger having to take my mask off in close proximity of not more of 50cm from the next client to my left. I contested the unwarranted process and I was threatened that if I didn't provide the mugshot my reservation would be cancelled. To my knowledge that was a blatant breach of contract. Exposing the clients to contracting COVID-19 contamination. I was delayed to attend my pick up, consequently the rental was useless. Nevertheless I was mistreated and rudely addressed. I made aware the attendees that I am a professional international model and that I do not release my photos forcefully. That had infringed in my wrights as a consumer, as a free citizen of Canada and my professionalism. I would like to receive a formal apology from the director in chief of UHaul for the way I was treated, that the imagery provided be destroyed in my presence and that UHaul stop this senseless practices. It would be to your advantage to try to have more staff scheduled at the end/beginning of the month when more moves occur. The staff is often stressed out , overwhelmed and overworked! They actually did not put my termination of my rental unit in the computer system properly , as the agent was overwhelmed and wrongly charged another month (now corrected). As usual , there was a long lineup at month's end. The problem is that are only one lineup and often are so long. Everyone is put into one lineup : truck rentals and other complicated rental agreements ( that take a long time) and then other retail purchases that takes a minute. . There should be a line up just for simple merchandise transactions that just take minutes , so you don't have to stand in line half an hour for example just to buy tape or boxes . There was nothing I didnt like about the storage unit. It was temperature controlled, and well lit. But I also appreciated that it was very secure in that you had to enter a code to enter and exit and the locks were supplied. One problem area is the online booking process. When booking the unit, I completed the application but it did not work. When I realized that there was no email confirmation, I phoned and there was no record of the application and the process had to be repeated on the phone. When we were booking the truck the same thing happened. It could have been a real disaster if I had not followed up by phone. I had stored belongings of mine for about three and a half years in the Bramalea storage unit . It was very convenient to get in and out of when I needed something. And the area was kept clean and the price wasn't bad. I did have one issue though. I was away from my storage unit for 1 year, and when I went back to get my stuff I was surprised to see many mouse droppings. So that would be the only negative. I had to throw out a mattress and box spring, as well as two other boxes of towels. The staff were as friendly as they could be under the circumstances. The systems were down which created a very long line up and long wait times. It was extremely uncomfortable for everyone involved. I felt badly for the staff and the experience made me late for work. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. It would be hard to explain my experience and I not to mention they did not have what was booked months ago for me. Counter person was on their own because the other person had to leave to pick something up and although busy she was calm, extremely friendly, and efficient. She called back to the storage area and had another woman, who was very friendly as well, meet me and show me where my unit was. I've had to rent storage a few times over the years and have never seen a facility that was this clean, organized, and maintained. I was disappointed, when I got an email saying that my account was overdue for my storage locker, and I would be charge a late fee, when I had informed the desk clerk I was moving my stuff out of the locker space and that was reason for renting the truck. There was no lighting in the storage unit which made it difficult to see anything. The late fees were expensive and added on after only a couple days which I thought was too soon. I felt like I was paying too much for my unit every month. The staff were always very friendly and helpful but they didn't always know the answers to simple questions.
