The van was not wiped down inside from the last customer(s) and smelled like food. There was dried coffee drips on the dash, crumbs and significant pet hair on the upholstery. I'm highly allergic to animal fur. The part that really pissed me off is my husband has brain cancer, zero immune system and I asked if the van was wiped down and sanitized. This was very important to me. I cannot get sick, for obvious reasons and take great care to protect myself from Covid so I don't bring it back to him. I was told the van was cleaned/sanitized when I asked an employee inside, but very clearly it was not. I don't appreciate at all being lied to and left me feeling very anxious. So no, I wouldn't use this business again.

Worst experience ever! Reserved an appliance dolly 2 days prior... No dolly available, not even a regular one. They gave my trailer to someone else, I then had to try and rent another size but the lights wouldn't work and the other available trailer had flat tires.... I left with zero trailer after an hour an half at said location... Had to call around and find another(lesser) trailer just to start my move. I'm not sure how but the $50 reservation guarantee was not applied! Very upset about the whole experience.

There were 10 trucks lined up for return, no one around, the girls inside kept saying wait for the guys in the back. Cannot drop key in drop box, wait. After another customer got upset they radioed and 3 workers drove up in 2 pick ups and one started checking the trucks in. I drove a long distance and did not feel like waiting for who knows how long when there was no one around. The workers should be there on site for the hours they are paid for. Girls inside should be able to say there is a backlog please put the key in Dropbox instead of telling you that 2 guys were working out back and you have to wait for them.

I called U-Haul to create my booking and really needed both types of dollies. I added them to my order for $7 each. When I got to the location, they were not in stock. I had already driven 25 km to get there so choosing another location was not an option. Instead, due to my need for at least one dolly, I was forced to spend $30.00 on the only dolly they had for sale. I didn't receive so much as a sorry. I didn't get a discount, no attempt to see if there was a dolly in the storage area. Also, why the hell are you asking everyone to use a single door entrance with no auto opener when your default entrance is automatic and allows people to go in and out much easier?

I got there at the location and the rep said the truck is ready, hence I prebooked. I got to the truck and its full of snow and I had to clean it with my bare hands due to taking an uber to get the truck. Once driving I had to use the washer fluid to know they wasn't any. I had to pull over and use water until I got to a gas station to buy washer fluid. I find it ridiculous I had to do that and the truck wasn't equipped and filled up. I had really bad experience and wouldn't recommend anyone

This location was fine but I would be hesitant to use U-Haul again based on our experience with the Bolton U-Haul. The Brampton location was our 3rd attempt and not the vehicle we had reserved. Our 10 ft cube van was not accessible to us on the Friday night that we booked it for, nor was it available Saturday morning (our make up reservation). I appreciate that we were given 2 $50 vouchers but that in NO way made up for the stress and inconvenience that UHAUL BOLTON caused us. The customer service was subpar considering all the mistakes were on UHAUL'S end and in NO way any fault of ours. We had to make extra trips, pay for addition kms, drive 40 minutes out of our way and were late for our reservation for the loading elevator. That is the experience that I will share when asked about UHAUL.

We ordered this a month in advance and the truck was not available for pick up in the location we wanted (or near the location we wanted). Our move was delayed by an hour and there were no dollys available e em though we ordered in advance.

Have their reservation ready for their pick up time. My reservation was for 7am and was only ready to leave the store at 8am. I was also supplied with a vehicle trailer that looked about 25yrs old and did not feel secure with it.

The staff while i went to pick up the van were totally rude, arrogant, uncooperative. I had a week before called the U haul number and was told that I could get the van without having to use my cell phone, he said the people at the counter would help. The person was totally not helpful. My pickup location was changed twice, the last change was just at 8 am on the day of the pickup. As much as possible, I will not go to U haul again. The van was good - had no issues.

To whom it may concern. Please be advised that this time renting experience with U-Haul from this location ( 152 East drive ) was very unpleasant and very unprofessional. Employee who attended me was using her cellphone constantly while I was talking to her. I found that disrespectful and rude. Also, when I got the rental truck, it was not clean, coffee was spilled everywhere including windshield, front seats and the cup holder was filled with coffee. Behind the seats there was trash to be found as well. Clearly truck was no senitized and was a health hazard due to COVID-19 . I have taken pictures for reference. I hope action will be taken.

Was told the rental cannot be 24 hours. Rented around 3:30pm , wanted it for 24 hours but was told I have to bring back by 7am next morning. Clerk was not customer friendly, made it seem I was asking her a favour when I was actually paying for a service. The notch on the back door of the van was not working well. The guys giving me the van pointed it out to me and showed me how to use extra effort to secure it.

Answer your phone or emails would be a great start. I was charged a late fee after waiting almost an hour to return it and I've called multiple times and sent multiple emails and no response. Also, don't accept peoples reservations and then change locations the day before.

The truck's exhaust was leaking which caused me to spend 100 liters more fuel on round trip to Ottawa. I discovered it only when I picked up the truck already and was on my way to Ottawa. On return, your staff did not handle the truck return properly, made demands to re-park the returning truck multiple times without clear direction where to place it. I had to wait multiple times to be served on return, spent over half hour there (there was NO line-up of people waiting!) and left without the final receipt. The staff promised to email and did not deliver receipt.

The cargo van I rented the cargo area was not cleaned, it appeared a contractor may have used it and never bothered to clean it but otherwise the van was good in all other areas. I rent quite a bit from UHaul and will still continue to rent from UHaul. Renting for only 24 hours is inconvenient would like to see longer rentals in place I sometimes need for a few days. Hi, I wanted to write this feedback, U-Haul customer service, Truck cleanliness was amazing I must say this. However my Brampton location visit experience was pathetic I would never visit that location neither recommend anyone. There was one representative she was very rude, unfriendly and continues talking on earphones with someone. She is the one who gave me the cargo van and her behaviour was extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. Returned the equipment with the same Gas and cleanliness it was taken out with yet I received a charge for gas + a cleaning fee. I also did not appreciate that there was a line up for getting the vehicle yet other customers were walking up to the counter and getting served who were clearly not waiting in line. Picked trailer up at 130pm Saturday, was finished 7pm Sunday but could not drop off after hours. So by the time we could drop it off on Monday it was 2:15pm and you guys charged the full day rate plus insurance on my credit card for being 45mins late. The is just straight up theft and extortion. Should allow some kind of grace period if you no longer allow after hours drop off.

Hi, customer service was great. I just returned my truck with the dolly at the green tent as instructed. Now, I had the worst driving experience ever in a rental unit. First, my trucks alignment was way off and kept pulling to the left and as I tried to correct it safely it felt like it was swerving. Second, i took it with half tank gas and filled up 42l and it didn't even move. Malfunction gas gauge. I would like to speak to a manager or get reimbursed for my rental, if not i will take it up with Head Office. Thank you.

I specified the ball size on the trailer hitch at the rental counter, but when I got home it was too large. Fortunately I had a smaller ball at home and temporarily changed it out, thus avoiding having to exchange the truck. It seems UHaul staff should be better trained better on towing. In addition, the amount on the invoice that accompanied this email was $33.41. The amount on my charge card was $34.41.

Its advertised online that there is 24 hour return. When renting the trailer they don't tell you up front that there is a $20 convenience fee to drop a trailer after hours (it is in fine print once you receive rental contract). I questioned this and they said because trailers can get stolen. Really??? So if I rented one and returned it to your property that is monitored by cameras, paid the extra trailer insurance that covers theft protection why charge me to drop the trailer after hours? So are you stating the trailers sitting in your yard won't get stolen if not rented? Only rented trailers being returned after hours will? This is a total scam to people renting for uhaul to make more money. If this is policy then you should fix website not to state 24 hour return available and also be upfront to renters at the counter and tell them to their face not let them realize fine print on contract. Amazing you yellow highlight everything on contract to explain to client except extra fees . People renting Uhaul thinks they have a right to take advantage of you.

When I was given the van the gas tank was full but I was told that gas was full. I took the photo of the gas meter, drove the car 14 kilometers and while filling in the gas it took 24 liters of gas which is ridiculous. A customer should not be cheated like this. Hello The truck that was given to us was discusting ... dirty and filthy ... had to spend time cleaning out the back in order to put our lite colored furniture in ... the truck road like a piece of junk .. and when my hubby told then at the counter all they said was sorrrrry ... that is not acceptable if i would have been there i would not have paid full price for that unfit uhaul vehicle I have remted many trucks in the past and was very disappointed to be charged the full price considering the condition

I arrived at 7am, as booked. The shop had one attendant and a line of 5 people. A second eprson arrived 20 past 7am, doing her toiletry before attending to customers. Opening at 7am means to me, " ready for business at 7am". Also I booked at Queensway to be called 5 min later that the required unit is only available inBrampton. Thank you

The storage units were a bit small. I had to store my items/furniture from a three bedroom house and had to rent 2 units. The height was inadequate as there was only so much stacking that could be done.

The staff were as friendly as they could be under the circumstances. The systems were down which created a very long line up and long wait times. It was extremely uncomfortable for everyone involved. I felt badly for the staff and the experience made me late for work. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. It would be hard to explain my experience and I not to mention they did not have what was booked months ago for me. I ended up having to have two lockers, not side by side and was not offered any accommodations for it.

Counter person was on their own because the other person had to leave to pick something up and although busy she was calm, extremely friendly, and efficient. She called back to the storage area and had another woman, who was very friendly as well, meet me and show me where my unit was. I've had to rent storage a few times over the years and have never seen a facility that was this clean, organized, and maintained. I hope that this gets back to the Brampton staff because they all deserve a HUGE pat on the back.

I was disappointed, when I got an email saying that my account was overdue for my storage locker, and I would be charge a late fee, when I had informed the desk clerk I was moving my stuff out of the locker space and that was reason for renting the truck. It send off an alarm to my head, however I did call in and I do think the matter has been resolved. That was my only disappointment.

I found that when dealing with Shelly, my experience and service was above and beyond. However when dealing with the other staff the both experience and service went dramatically down. There was no lighting in the storage unit which made it difficult to see anything. The late fees were expensive and added on after only a couple days which I thought was too soon. I felt like I was paying too much for my unit every month. The staff were always very friendly and helpful but they didn’t always know the answers to simple questions. I would use Uhaul again but hopefully I wouldn’t need to use the storage. Renting Uhaul vehicles I have never had an issue.
