The back door of the truck was frozen and jammed i had a hard time opening the back door u guys should verify if its opening or not. i reached my home and tried to open it took too much time and stress this is not acceptable. Definitely not a good experience. I was asked to sign on the electronic key pad only to find out after that I was signing off on all the contractual points which I hadn't read and was not apprised of at all before this. I was not told that it was a responsibility of the renter to do a walk around of the truck and record any issues and that this could be done either online or with the employee who just handed over a set of keys, pointed and said here's your truck and walked away. Also was not apprised of the process for returning the truck on the other end, that it could be done electronically needing pictures, etc. Or I could do it the following morning for a $20 charge. Only to find out when I called that I was being charged $400 for damages (graffiti) which was present on the truck already and likely long before I rented it. But because no one told me about he initial inspection I was unaware. I would suggest some serious re training and customer service courses for your employees if you want to have a better service considering the price that we're paying to rent your vehicles. I would not recommend this location to anyone for renting.

Due to the fact calls are answered by international customer service agents as well as within canada, it becomes a bit confusing when they give directons to locations. It would be more advisable if those calls could be transferred to an agent that is located in the city the call is being made from i.e. I live in Brampton and my pick up is within Brampton. I would in turn prefer someone associated to that city to accomodate my inquiries for location etc.

I had made the reservation On Wednesday (3 days prior) on Friday the day before pickup of the truck I received an e-mail staying that my order has been updated. It was. Is sending me further away to another location. On Saturday, at the new location, 1 of the ladies (Blonde) at the Front desk was rude to me and several other customers. Telling people to move from the sliding doors (that shows how long the lines were) Yelling at people to move their cars even though the front and the back lots were filled. I was 14th in line and had to leave it to move my car. It took me 1 hour to finally get the truck. The truck looked like something out of the 80s. It was very old and beat up. There were many signs of damage on all sides of the vehicle. The rear tires were bald, the sides were dented, the front passenger light casing was broken and the front fender was hanging. Very poorly managed company.

This location was under-staffed. people were lined up at the counters with maximum of only 2 registers open at times only 1 during my visit. Had to wait 15 miinutes and walk around a block to get the truck with no one servicing the vehicle. upon return too, there was no one to receive it waited and walked around the back for about 10 minutes before found a person and asked to process my return. Further, even after the customer service assuring me for a 24hours pickup the cash customer care employee refused saying that her manager only advised for 8 maximum hours during busy weekend. I cancelled my home location and came 20 min out of the way to get a 24 hour rental. After a bit of of argument, i was given a 24 hour rental.

The worst company I’ve seen, but the service you sell has no competitors, so unfortunately still need U-Haul. Just one thing that happened, someone called me saying I had to drive 30 minutes to get the truck I wanted, I had no option and drove there. When I got there they didn’t have the truck I wanted. I‘m not going to waist more time telling everything else, but overall U-Haul has always been a bad experience.

Had a truck reserved from 7 am to 7 am at the 2753 Weston Rd location. With work running late the night before and the hecticness of moving. Overslept and missed the phone call from location and lost my reservation. In my book when you reserve something from 7 am to 7 am, it is yours for that time period. Maybe that is just me. Lucky Brampton location had a truck for me or it would have been a nightmare. It was not clearly communicated in the rental agreement if you dont pick your truck up in the 1st hour of your reservation you lose it. Very unhappy customer. WILL LOOK FOR OTHER RENTAL COMPANY IN THE FUTURE.

I was charged a fee to drop of trailer after hours. i was not told of any fees. agent said yes you can come drop it. still fee was charged. this is not correct as i've rented many times and never got fee charged. please refund me my fee, as i helped uhaul by returning early. you can contact me 416-505-8172

This is the second 26 foot truck I’ve rented for a one-way trip in about a month. Both times my pick up location was changed last minute. This one was changed on Friday afternoon for a Monday morning pick up. I don’t understand why the first location I picked was even an option if it isn’t a guaranteed pick up location? I was not impressed with the online rental reservation. You should offer customers the option of where to pick up a truck when the one they reserve is unavailable. Less than 24 hours before my move I was told I’d have to drive 60km away to pick up a smaller vehicle in the opposite direction of where I was moving. When I demanded they check closer to my final location they found a truck that matched my original reservation. The East Dr Brampton location was beyond helpful and kind and did more than the others to make things right for me.

Booked the online pickup because I was in a real rush this particular day. When I got to the location the app showed that the location was not open but had been for 2 hours. When i went inside it was backed up because of an irritating customer. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Was not pleased with our reservation... we were to pick up at a different location and the truck battery was dead. The truck was not checked to make sure it was good and ready. Took 2 hours for us to get the rental truck. I have 2 children I needed to get home to and had to pay a babysitter even more because of this... hoping I can get some compensation for all this hassle.

The Uhaul representative showed lack of interest while confirming the appointment as she was using here mobile phone while I have to wait for couple of minutes before get the truck keys. Also she gave me wrong directions on where the truck is parked twice. I had to walk back and forth out in the cold weather thrice outside before finding the truck location. This is the worst customer experience I have ever had with Uhaul. The truck smelled like coffee inside the cabin and also the rear left turn indicators were not working which was a safety hazard while turning/switching lanes on road. This was my first experience with Uhaul and would be my last as well. I never expected this kind of unprofessional customer experience from a big organization like U-haul.

Before giving the truck to consumers, why don’t you make sure first that the truck works properly. Having to change to a new truck ended up costing me (for being late at the next scheduled pick up). Also, it would be great if the gas level was at full at pickup, just like how it is at other regular car rentals. It was not convenient at all having to estimate how much gas to fill to bring the level back to, say, 5/8 full.

U-Haul Brampton changed my pick-up location 3 times because they were too lazy to shuttle the truck I wanted to the convenient location I asked for. Took all my credentials on-line including an email to express checkin only to have to go through the entire process at the location with snippy and officious attitude from the staff. Never again.

I ordered a trailer from Royal Windsor Drive location. They called Saturday morning to say they did not have it but I could drive a 1/2 hour Brampton and get $5 off my trailer. I went to Brampton, stood in line for 45 minutes. The Point of Sale computers kept crashing and it took another 20 minutes to process my order. I never received the $5 discount even though I called your 1-800 in advance. Overall a horrible experience which took 2 hours longer than it should have taken.

the original check in wax terrible. over charged....gave wrong storage unit and rented truck for 1 hour which almost cost me 2 daus after 6 hours

I rented a truck on top of renting a unit, I left ear pods in the truck, called NUMEROUS times, could NEVER reach the actual facility, the owner ASHLEY never called me back!! AWEFUL service!!!!

I phoned 4 times over 8 days to have my box removed. I was left on hold for 22 min, 20min and 15 min other two times. No staff apologies. I contacted both main uhaul# and box #. Terrible.
