Could improved by not charging me a bullshit $25 cleaning fee for absolutely nothing that needed to be cleaned... nothing was said to me at drop off other than “you’re good to go.” Sarah Pickle was very friendly from customer relations, and refunded my amount. She is literally the only reason I gave a decent review.

I rented a 17' truck locally to move 'stuff' from one storage shed to another. The guy asked me to 'estimate' how many miles I might put on the truck. I guessed 30, but it was just that, a guess. I questioned at the time the advanced billing on my CC showing a 30 mile charge and was told that if less they would credit my card. I recorded the miles I actually put on the truck, it was 16.8 miles, yet when the invoice was emailed to me it showed the 'mileage when turned back in' as exactly 30 miles more that what it was when I checked it out. Hmm, don't believe that practice is lawful. I will be contacting Uhaul to share with them my photos of the odometer.

I stood and waited well over 30 minutes to complete my reservation. Then the uhaul I rented wasn't available, which caused more of an inconvenience. Next time I need to do this I will not goo to this location again, and also it cost me almost 30.00 more than what was quoted for my original reservation, which really really upset me, i was crying while waiting you would think that they would compensate me for all the problems.

The person that hooked up the trailer did not plug in the light connection very well. It disconnected in a few blocks and the insulation on the wire wore off exposing the wire. Took back and he said it was OK. I didn’t agree and he put on a new harness. He also didn’t tighten down the hitch very well

There was a chain with a padlock that someone else left behind around the handle on the back. The return process on the web is terrible. I called for help and the girl on the phone just screamed at me and said "just pay the 20 bucks then" which I ended up doing anyway. I am a frequent customer and I have been very unhappy with my last two uhaul experiences.

only one person on staff, credit card machine not working, 3 in line for equipment at 6:30 pm, phone for contracts not charged had to get another. plus more walking in door. call to pick up they asked if i could pick up day early as they were asphalting drive. did they look at were i was coming from?

The store was clean and organized. Equipment was clean, great shape and new tires. Very happy with that. The workers at the Bismarck store were very rude every time I’ve been in that store. Only reason I go back ievery time is b/c they have clean well maintained equipment. They need to be educated/trained in customer service. I’m sure they turn other people off to where they might not use them again. Otherwise great store. This is the reason I give them an average service.

Next time actually put the keys in the lock box code thing so I can actually use my rental and not have to come in and get a refund for a vehicle I couldn't get because there was no keys available to me.

The moving pads were not in the van when I picked it up, the van smelled like an old butcher shop, and after driving a couple of miles I noticed the hood for the engine compartment was not latched ( could have caused an accident if I hadn’t noticed). The staff was very friendly and helpful.

My experience with U-haul is the worse experience I have ever had with a moving company. I will never use U-haul again for a move or storage. Very bad all the way around and will make sure all my friends know that if they use U-haul they need to look around more. Thanks Albert

I am a little upset I returned my truck 1.5 hours late, because of an emergency that came up. I did call them to tell them I would be late and at no time during that conversation was I told there would be a extra charge and to find out through my bank account that there was an entire day of extra charges. If I would have known this I would have kept it until tomorrow. When I returned all I was asked is do you want a paper or email receipt.

The car transport trailer had light issues and the Tyre Mart location didn't have another car transport trailer. I contacted the customer service department to obtain a break down number for future issues with the car transport trailer (break down number 1686237) and the customer service representative was working diligently to have the light issue resolved, however, the vendor wouldn't answer the phone calls. The customer service representative contacted his supervisor to which the supervisor contacted me instructing to drive to 1453 Interstate Loop location to get another car transport trailer. Upon arrival at the 1453 Interstate Loop location, the u-haul representatives told me that the light issue isn't a concern and not to worry. I told them that I was instructed to swap out the car transport trailer with one that didn't have light issues. They were Insistant that the light issue wasn't a concern. So I left but returned a day later quite upset stating the light issue is a safety concern. But u-haul location 1453 Interstate Loop representative stated he would repair the light issue but then changed his mind and the car transport trailer was swapped out with one that was functional. The 1st trailer shouldn't have been issued with light issues, the customer shouldn't have to get very demanding to obtain a functional car transport trailer since the travel entailed several states. I feel that I should be compensated for the problems encountered at the beginning of the trip. The end result was successful.

Truck rented out with an empty gas tank or shall we say running on fumes. One rep. offers a $15.00 credit to refuel. Upon turning truck in and I did have fill some gas and presenting the credit vouches, was told now this does not apply and she tore up the receipt right in front of me. I was able to get the job completed with the truck, but the rest of the experiences just really sucked. Hope you can make some improvements here. Many thanks, Jeff

When I went to return the truck after hours the website would not allow me to use my location. Another individual tried as well and was unable to get the website to load either for after hours return instructions. We ended up needing to go back the next day to return the truck.

The best part about the storage is that it is climate controlled and has security. I also appreciated the large loading/unloading bay, large elevator, and the free to use moving carts.

I am not dissatisfied, but it is prepaid storage. I also rent out storage units for cold storage garages, I do not lock my customers out after 3 days, with out a phone call. Like this facility does.

The staff rating really should be a "sometimes" friendly. We leased up to 4 units for 5 years & U-haul Bismarck was a well oiled machine back when Brian was the Manager.Not the same service like then.
