I waited in the store for 2 hours watching 1 employee try to handle 1 problem after then next and training the other employee who was of little help at all. Despite this she went above and beyond for everyone but not a single person got what they had come in for including me as I had reserved a truck 2 1/2 weeks in advance to show up and be told I could only have a van after waiting the 2 hours. It was a horrible experience without your 1 employee taking in a tremendous burden and handling it with tact and grace this whole place would have been a let me speak to your manager mess of anger, instead everyone was very gracious as we all saw the unfair drama of the computer system overbooking the trucks. Then on top of it I was not given the $50 promised for not having the correct truck and was charged for an extra day even though I dropped the truck off before the required time.

I reserved a 10' truck the week before my move and coordinated the equipment pick up with my movers. I checked in online the day before to confirm my reservation. However when I got to the Uhaul location I was told that they had NO trucks. I had to pay my movers overtime because it took 2 hours to get a pickup truck from uhaul. and then I had to pay extra for mileage on multiple trips (all my things could have fit into a 10' truck). The manager at this location wasn't able to offer me any discounts or credit due to their negligence. My experience was terrible, and this location took monetary advantage of the situation without any sympathy towards the customer. I would never rent with Uhaul again. I will be going with a moving company that has their own equipment.

Was assigned a 15 foot truck as reserved. It was drizzling on the morning I picked up the truck. Turned on the windshield wipers and heard them scrape across the windshield. The passenger wiper had no rubber blade installed. Told checkin representative who said I could take the truck behind the one I had been assigned. I looked at the wipers on that truck and the drivers rubber wiper blade was torn. I asked a "maintenance" rep. for a wiper blade and was told they did not stock any. I took the first truck and folded the passenger wiper arm away from the windshield the entire time I had the truck so it would damage the windshield.

You can tell the young lady that helped me when I came to pick up the trailer to adjust her attitude. Extremely rude, and nasty. Different people when I returned the trailer, and they were very pleasant, and professional.

Never had trouble with uhaul not even once. The uhaul on 251-37 Jericho turnpike was very unprofessional, attitude from the employee working on the 1/17/2021 was completely unnecessary there was no need to be disrespectful for no reason ;I'm not sure if she was having a bad day but I won't be using uhual any longer. Cubesmart was able to take care of my storage needs unfortunately, Nonetheless uhual is a great company and I hope the customer service is worked on. (Side Note): The uhual on 168-11 Douglas Avenue is amazing and I regret not returning to this location I've done business with this uhual 7 or 8 other times and went without a hitch)

Firstly, I looked online and chose this location because of its “drive-up units”. Then once I’m checked in, and ready to store my items, I come to find out that I can only drive my car until the gate, then I must unload onto a dolly, and walk my things to the storage unit. While the storage unit itself was clean, it was not what I expected. Secondly, the ramp (which is the only way to get your things up to the storage) is ridiculously skinny and is nearly impossible to make a u-turn to get back down the ramp. Thirdly, I was moving during December, the ramp and the walk-way around the storage facility was all snowy and icy.

The truck was tired (90K miles), but did it's job, and I didn't have high expectations. Clean: yes. It was disinfected, which I could smell and which I appreciated. The checkin process was smooth; the counter staff was efficient and friendly. Returning the truck was super easy. UHaul is less than half the price of its competitors.

Overall bad experience: Truck was not available at original location and was sent to 2 other locations were truck was not available. Poor communication: my reservation location was changed and there was no communication (no text, no call, no email) Bad phone customer service: called U-Haul to confirm truck availability at new location and the reservation was moved 2 other times within the phone call. Finally, I was transfered without any knowledge and had to explain my issue again.

The customer service was poor. The lady didn't provide me full information that when i have to return and they they charge convience fee 20$ and add insurance for 32$ which I didn't ask for please review my bill and she was rude on the phone and when i go over there to return the truck.

Compared to the Hicksville Location the employees @ Bellrose do not give a hoot about customer service. Seems like every employee is unhappy. Dealing with the circumstances this year common courtesy should be key

Have a way to call employees working if they are not at the front counter. I waited for 10 minutes before I had to go look for the employee working. I did have a schedule pick up time, so it was a bit annoying.

Quick pick up of a rental truck with very helpful staff. It turned out some additional equipment I had arranged to rent (utility dolly, moving blankets) was not available. I'd recommend checking the day before your rental like I did to give yourself time to make other arrangements if necessary.

Kaitlyn was extremely helpful, patient and thorough with my reservation. The young lady that helped me on the day that I picked up the truck was also very nice and and helpful she explained everything throughly, unfortunately I can not remember her name. When I returned the truck I was told to just leave the key at the front desk and that I would get a receipt emailed to me. I took photos of the truck and the milage before I left the location and also when I returned the truck, although I was charged the correct amount I wish that the Inspection of the truck upon return was done while I was there. That was my only concern other than that everything was pretty good.

Staff was not courteous. Made entire process seem like a favor to me. Told them explicitly i don't want damage waiver. Still charged it. Told them to take it off, manager said she would when i return it because system was broken. Got upset when i returned and asked for it to be taken off I know employees get commission for selling more damage waivers. They are playing games and being rude about it. Hesitant to go back

this was probably the worst experience I've ever had with a rental truck business. Not only was my location changed to an area farther away from my home but also I was given a 10' truck instead of the 15' truck that I reserved. Also the equipment I wanted with the truck was not available. I reserved 5 days in advance and nothing was correct. No one from your company helped or tried to give me some compensation. I will never use uhaul again.

After receiving the bill via email, they was a charge for add'l Gas charge. ( I filled it up before drop off to level it was before) I took me 45 minutes to finally get someone to discuss.. They took care of the problem but 45 minutes??? That a problem.. Solution would be give the customer a full tank when rental begins . Did I mention 45 minutes??/ Thats too long to hold for anyone!!

Awful location. Terrible staff. Try to trick people into giving hours they need rental to encourage more late fees. App is a joke. I spent 40 min picking up the van as they called my emergency contacts!! Unbelievable. Worst rental I ever had. I would never use uhaul for my business ever again.

When I order the trailer on college point and I got all the confirmation, when the day I pickup on college point they said the reservation has been canceled and they send me to Jericho turnpike. When I call customer service to file complaint she said she don't see any cancell reservations and not very helping my issue .

Make sure u inform the customer verify the start milage My uhaul agent try to charge me 50 miles for 11 mile trip and charge me for their mistake. It is not the customer obligation to ensure correct mileage is written down .The agent was also annoyed at me for their mistake no apology offered

The day of my move, the corridor light was broken and the movers had to work in darkness to move me out of 2 units. Kaitlynne was extremely helpful and attempted to fix the light but the problem appeared to be more extensive than just changing a few light bulbs. Kaitlynne informed me of the move out process, was always available, and made the process much less stressful. My stored items were free of bugs, moisture, all intact, and the customer service at this location has always been excellent.

Access to storage units on the roof is very unsafe, you have to back your vehicle up a steep trail to get to the unit. Good luck if your driving a truck. Uhaul definitely needs to change this

I got no help from the service. My Service person did not gave a tour of storage only stated it’s on the other side of the building. Pick up your vehicle in row D and inspect it for damages before you leave. The entire right side top portion of truck broken and open from the front to the back ;with the upper signal light broken. I went back to the service person who was outside at the return vehicle station. I informed her that the truck was damaged and I need another truck. She replied, “ I need to go home.” “I closed out the register.” It’s 7:20 pm You closed” and I didn’t have a truck to move .”we know the truck was damage ;you will not be charged for the damages.” She refused to go to the office to give me another truck. why would you give me a damaged truck? I gave her the truck key and ask her to cancelled out the truck. I didn’t pay to rent a broken truck. I lost money because of your company poor service of not proving me with a working truck. I had to pay the moving people who’s was to load and unload the truck. I had the worst experience with your company’s service personals. They both had attitudes and was not helpful in proving information or service. I used your company before and I have never had this poor service experience. The service person stated ,”she will cancelled out the truck rental and insurance for 8/18/20. “I will return the money to your card and send you a text message.” I didn’t get a text for the cancellation/ truck insurance from Uhall as she stated on 8/18/20. 7:27 pm.Thanks for your resolution of this poor service provided by your service staff on the afternoon of 8/18/20.

The actual unit itself is good. The way to access the unit is horrible. Any unit that is on the roof, must be accessed by BACKING your vehicle UP a curved road. This is very dangerous. Also if one vehicle is backed up the road, you must wait until they are done, and then you can access your unit with your vehicle. UHAUL must reconstruct this area. And if the gate sensor doesn't have anything in its view, the gate will close, and even if it hits an object it doesn't stop, it continues to close. DANGEROUS.....SOMEONE COULD BE SERIOUSLY HURT

Great experience , excellent staff. Only negative would be the lighting in the storage area.... the timer should be adjusted because they keep going off while trying to move things. It made things hard ...we were often left in the dark and we needed to keep going out of the unit every 3-4 minutes to wave and see if the lights turned back on.
