equipment I rented was a Auto Transport the straps for the front wheel was broken both sides they were no good they couldn't even reach the lock I have to pass the Rope through the rim just to hold a vehicle down looks like no one inspected the auto transport and just rented it out they were Greece all over the chain all the front where the tow ball sits. The brakes work but the vehicle jerks while stopping and I think it damaged my front end of my vehicle it was rocking my my vehicle back and forth while trying to stop. The location is very friendly staff and very clean that's the only good thing about this experiment First I went to Douglaston location to pick up Auto Transport they were ready to hook up the transport when I noticed the axles was broken on the right side the two wheels was touching and on the left side the two wheels bent no one inspected that equipment and they were ready to hook it up on my vehicle thank God I saw it I would have been a very very bad incident on the highway that's why they transferred the reservation to Jericho Turnpike and I was still unhappy with the equipment

To who ,(1) I spoke to someone about one of the truck I rented not working and was unsafe to drive and nothing was done about, upon returning trucks I mentioned it to the person at the dest and he said to me what that mean ,I rented 2 truck,1 van and moving coth from , I was told on the phone by the they will look into and make necessary adjustment to my bill ,but nothing was done ,one of the was used ,but not for the whole trip. thank you .my tel 516-641-9913.

The truck was hard to start. Every time I parked the truck, the steering wheel would lock and not let you turn the ignition. This happened 4 times. It took some time each time to get the truck to start. I was very disappointed with that experience.

I had the rental storage their negligence all my stuff Destroy even I have the insurance nobody is taking responsibility and when I rent the truck unprofessional staff make so many mistakes don’t know what to do change me two invoices it took me two month to get back my money still they ow me almost $60 without reason they deduct it from my refund very bad and round people should be their to work even the the manager is worse instead of helping get angers ang still don’t know how to fix their problem they rob peoples They are thrives and don’t recommend anybody to go to Bellrose direction Unprofessional unethical Untrained peoples are working their on top of their isuurence company ias anothr crooks Very disappointed on the other hand when I went to return in va the ladies their very professional it took me 10 minutes to finish In Bellrose I spent to get the truck and conterct it took them six hours and still they made so many mistake charg me two times put wrong return address Their is so many wrong doing they did I could write down the whole book

Everett rented me the trailer. Charlie hooked me up and a fellow whose name I did not get, handled my return. All three were courteous, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. A real professional crew. Will definately return if I need a trailer or truck again. Thanks

Had a previous experience that wasn’t the greatest. Spoke with GM Everett Erinna. I was assured that the issue would be addressed..issue has since been resolved. My most recent experience has been very positive. My interactions with the staff and Mr. Erinna were great!

AVOID the Bellerose location. Very UNPROFESSIONAL staff and WOULD NOT recommend to anyone. See detailed UNPLEASANT experience below: 1) First thing I noticed when I walked into the building was a line of 3 or 4 customers. There was just one employee - a female employee - working while another - a male employee - was outside in front of the building smoking/vaping. 2) After about 10 minutes of waiting on line, the male employee who was smoking outside finally started helping customers. I was next on line and ended up going to him. I asked for the 15 or 17 foot truck but they didn't have any available at the location. He told me that they only have the 9 foot Vans available ($19.99). He DID NOT offer me any alternatives, did not give me a timeframe for when a 15/17ft truck would become available and also did not suggest calling nearby locations for availability. So I was forced to make a hasty decision and said yes to the van. I may have been a naive customer but I should've been informed of any possible alternatives at the very least. He asked for an estimate for miles and since I was expecting to make round trips, I told him 120 miles. I also added on insurance. I paid $179.38. $25 for insurance, $15.80 for 20 miles, $125 rental charge plus taxes. I told him 120 miles not sure why he only applied 20 miles. Also he charged me $125 for rental while vans are 19.99. Stupidly, I paid it thinking it’ll get adjusted when I return the van. 3) While he was helping me, him and the female employee were having personal conversations which was very unprofessional. They should keep the customers needs first and should be having personal conversations at their own personal time. He could’ve spent this time asking what exactly I’m looking and wouldn’t have made billing errors if he was listening to me. 4) There were signs all over the place to ask about one way trips. Even their vans/trucks on site had signs saying to ask about one way trips. So I did. The male employee said “none of the Uhaul’s do that” and when I questioned why there are signs everywhere saying the contrary, he responded by saying "You can call the 1-800 number but they’ll place a $3,000 hold on your card”. Later I had to call the 1-800 number (explained in #5 below), they informed me that they do offer one way trips for everything except the 17 foot trucks. So I was given false information and if I had relied on this, I would've made multiple round trips back and forth between my old house and new house. 5) I inspected the vehicle before I left and found no major issues. Uhaul sent me a link to my phone which shows images of the van. Keep in mind that these images are being viewed from the phone so it's smaller than 2”x1.5” and couldn’t be zoomed. There may have been paint or other minor damage to the van which I disregarded because I assumed it was minor and assumed already captured on the images provided by Uhaul. However, I couldn't quite see the images clearly

I did not answer the third question because of your after hour return policy. A lot of people do not have I- phone or good at using mobile phone or is unable to conduct business on line Charging after hour service fee should not be allowed. Please change this policy. . It was a very bad experience for me. Thanks.

I had to run around to several locations to pick up the truck, My original reservation was for Avenue D in Brooklyn, on the same morning, it was changed to 4th Avenue in Brooklyn, upon going to that location, I received a change upon arriving and informed, I had to go to Long Island to pick up the truck , Hour and half away, poor customer service. I wouldn’t recommend UHaul.

They tell you one thing on the phone and another when you are there in person. I was told $10 for a dolly and $10 for 2 packs of cloths but when in person I was then told $10 per day per item. Then if you're trip only takes 3 days they still charge you for 5. Then they don't offer any type of discount for anything even for veterans because like most companies they have a Monopoly on the market so they don't care at all about the people. They also give you a truck with around 1/2 tank because it is hard to fill the tank to exactly 1/2 so most people will overfill giving them free Gass. If the tank where full when they give it to you this would never happen.

The folks working at the checkout were moving sooo slow. There were 2 people but only one was working with the customers for the rental. The other guy was just sitting on the side not helping even though there were couple of people in the line. Other than that, I do like the fact that this location has plenty of trucks and it's easy accessible. I have rented from here twice and would definitely do it again.

I would love more information in general. What I need to know re: tolls, which NY roads i can drive on, etc. I only knew which gas to get because i asked

Staff needs to be more customer friendly and efficient, they work so slowly as if someone needed the equipment a day after, when asked General Manager to help me with the process instead of helping me, he showed me his phone and said he is busy sending an email. Girl forgot to tell me how to return the truck during after hours. Over all trucks are nice and clean but staff needs to improve their customer service skills

I rented a small storage unit on the second level of the facility. Getting up the ramp was difficult when I had the U-haul van. Otherwise, I have no complaints. Facility helped me with my needs.

I was REQUIRED to purchase a DISKUS LOCK. After I placed all my property in the storage the manger “Everett” said they will VOID my contract and cut my lock. They even printed out the DISKUS lock info

Boxes were promised to be ready for picked up at 7a. Movers could not pick up boxes until 4p. Employee did not know how to fill out paperwork causing delay. Called many times and they never picked up.

General Manager Mauri and her staff were awesome and I did observe as they gave myself and others excellent customer service at the Bellrose Location in Queens New York. Please commend GM Mauri.

Customer service was VERY slow. I waited in line behind 1 customer for 30mins. because there was 1 person at the counter and 4 people were behind me. A staff member helped one person and disappeared.
