Trailer I rented was damaged and should not have been rented out. When I called to let uhaul know that it was damaged I asked if they could help me out because I had gotten the he roadside assistance insurance for extra $$. They told me that I couldn't use this insurance and had to return trailer and exchange for another one myself with no help from them.they also told me that they were unable to refund anything after I was sold insurance that they wouldn't recognize or accept After the customer service I received I will never use uhaul againScott N.
Our unit had flooded and when we went to get our thing they were actually working on the storm drains from where they had backed up but once we got our belongings out we realized it must have not been the first time this had happened bc the amount of water damage and mildew and mold we actually rented a dumpster to throw at our things including some of our family photos and such that we vain ever get back. I attempted to file a claim but the general manager told me since we used our insurance and my insurance said they should be rest since it was due to property up keep we were at an impasse. I accidentally left my garage door opener in the van, and when I called the store to ask if they could find it, they said that another customer currently had the vehicle. They actually called the person to see if the remote was still in the van, which he confirmed. They had it for me when I returned to the location after the van was turned back in. I rented a van for a 6 hr window but returned it in 3 hrs. Since the 6 hrs was only a guess, I was told that I would only be charged for the time I needed. I received no deduction for only 3 hrs but instead was charged an additional charge because I went 12 miles over the 100 mile estimate for the job. Don't make promises that you won't keep,,,bad for business!John R.

I had negative experiences with the associate, both when checking out and checking in the equipment. To check out the equipment, I showed up just a couple minutes before the office opened. One minute prior to opening, the employee drove in to the lot and revved his engine while pulling into the spot where we were standing, coming within 6 inches of hitting us. It was rude if not dangerous. After he opened up and we entered the facility, we asked if he was doing OK. He responded that he was trying to clock in on time. The rest of the check out went fine because we said nothing further about the unprofessionalism. When checking in the equipment, I showed up a couple minutes before opening and parked at the sign that tells customers to stop and wait at the vehicle to be checked in. As I stood next to the vehicle, the same employee came racing into the lot one minute prior to opening. Instead of parking in front of the building, he Gund his engine as he drove towards me until I step to the side. He drove past and parked behind the building. As he walked into the building, I stayed at the truck because I knew he had to clock in before he could come out and check me in. After five minutes of waiting, I entered the building to find him at the desk. He asked me what I wanted . He had just seen me standing with the vehicle, ready to turn it in. I told him why I was there, he took the key from my hand, and he told me I could've turned it into the box outside the door. He got up, walked to the front door, and showed me how he could put it in the box. It was again incredibly rude and unprofessional. For both of these encounters, I didn't escalate the situation. Instead, I just realized that I would never use this facility again, and I would advise my friends and colleagues likewise.Brian L.

Friendly and helpful folks. This is my second time renting with them, and they haven't disappointed yet. Difficult to call on the phone, however, but that's a U-Haul problem. Calling the local number routes you to the national call center, which features "a higher number of callers than usual" and 30+ minute wait times.Gary Y.

My U-haul van was splendid! My storage unit on the other hand was messy when I first moved my belongings in: cob webs and leaves. I appreciate the staff at this location! They were friendly. They went above and beyond my expectations. They answered all my questions and they were flexible with my schedule. This place turned into a garbage pit soon after I put my treasured belongings into it. The ceiling in the unit was caving in and there was so much damage to antique furniture and other items I had stored there that I will never even consider use of any other Uhaul storage or rental trucks ever again. My one issue was that I was expecting there to be a lock in the unit waiting for me but there was not. Other than that, instructions were clear and helpful, registration was great: quick and easy. Getting in and out was simple. The location is small so storage for the uhaul rental equipment wasn't great and created some Obstacles to navigate around but otherwise the property was fine. We had damage to most of our items through water, mold and rodent. We had to throw away half of the items that we had stored there. Rodents are through our plastic tubs and storage boxes. I reserved a unit online because it said it was available. I reserved it 5 days ahead of time and when I arrived at the facility I was told the unit www not available and had to get a bigger unit that I didn't need that cost me more money. 5 days you had to call me to tell me the unit was available and no one did. I am going to give ' above average' because of the patient young man who waited on me after I leased the unit online. When we arrived, the unit we leased was locked with someone else's lock and blocked with a car. However, the young man at the desk apologized and said that unit should never have been listed as available (their system assigns open units) assigned me another unit & then when I decided it was too small, he changed me to a larger unit, all very patiently. Unfortunately your facility rented me a 10x20 storage unit with a leak in the roof. Now I'm out thousands of dollars for ruined furniture and household goods. I moved here in August from Arizona, and reserved a room at the facility by calling the national number. About 15 minutes or so after setting up the reservation, I had Dakota on the phone, politely and regretfully explaining that the national system hadn't synced with his facility, and he didn't have any rooms of that size available. I still remember what I said to him: "That sounds to me like a U-Haul problem, not a "me" problem, call me back when you figure it out." I remember that for two reasons: because I felt particularly clever for coming up with that on the fly, and because Dakota didn't deserve it. He did "figure it out"; he found two rooms of equivalent size, as close together as he could. He was pleasant, and sharp, and responsive that day, and every time I've had to come to the facility since. I've done a fair number of moves because I'm in the military, using U-Haul vehicles and storage regularly. Of all those interactions, Dakota stands out to me in a sea of U-Haul employees who were almost unfailingly good, he was just plain awesome. I can't tell you how much I appreciate his efforts to take care of myself and other customers, and he's an asset to your company. You're lucky to have him.ANDREW N. | Overall Experience

Actually we have not left the facility only moved to another unit. So far the Facility is in a convenient location, is accessible during hours needed, and appears secure. We moved because our unit was at the back end of the units and so many UHaul trucks and equipment were parked around our unit that We had difficulty getting our truck in and out.Carole S. | Overall Experience

Compared to Storage Inns of America, UHaul wins. I was in a bind for moving and UHaul had only one space left so I took it. Had to get a 2nd space at Storage Inns of America. When I went to move this weekend, the UHaul storage area was mice free and no sign of any rodents at all. At Storage Inns of America, there was so much mice feces, my couch and chair and a half are ruined. I called the manager at Storage Inns of America and after explaining what I discovered and the damage to my personal items, no attempt was made to make it right to me. The one thing UHaul could do in the unit I rented was to slap some paint on a place where there was water intrusion at one time and has been fixed since.
