In the past few months, I have rented a truck at the 1301 Opelika Road store a couple of times. The people there are always very nice and helpful to me. This is the most stress-free place to rent a truck. This is where I would go to rent a truck in the future. They are open on Sunday so if you are doing things on the weekend this is very helpful.mark C.

I was charged an additional 60.00 for the return of the vehicle. The Ocoee store never asked me or said anything about milage nor did they explain that i would be a fee to drop it off after hours. I drove from Orlando to Alabama so if i was able to drop it off on Monday I don't believe that i should have been charged considering that my rental was due to be returned on Tuesday.. My original reservation was for a 20' Truck at Sun Self Storage on Shug Jordan. Tried to pickup my truck at 6AM when my reservation was scheduled and the app would not allow me to proceed. Tried calling support and was stuck in a 60 minute queue. Received a call back from the automated service to tell me I was first in the queue only to be hung up on. Put myself back in the 60 minute queue. In the meantime I waited until 9 when the recording said Sun Self would be open, but no one would ever answer. Called the location that ultimately rented me the truck only to be told that he didn't have any trucks at first and to call Nick at some number on the website. Never could find what he was talking about so I tried to call back and never could reach him. Tried to call and Opelika location that said was open per their Google listing and was met with a voicemail that was full. Never received a call back from the support queue so I called back and pushed the option to talk to reservations and was able to get ahold of someone that transferred me to the Scheduling Manager. When she transferred me the call was dropped again. Luckily, she texted me the phone number. The scheduling manager that answered was extremely rude and chomping on some kind of food the entire time and did just enough to push my reservation to the 1301 location for an available truck that the worker said he didn't have. So after it was all said and done, I received my truck close to noon. 6 hours after my scheduled reservation and was only given a $10 discount for this entire hassle. I have never had an issue with Uhaul in the past, but this was absolutely awful considering I had hired help that started on the clock at 6AM and had to compensate them for an extra 6 hours of time of sitting around waiting to try and get the situation handled. My experience was horrible. I requested a Wetumpka, Al pick up with morning pick up. I made my reservation two weeks in advance. On day prior to pick up, I received text that pick up location was changed to Montgomery, Al at 4pm at a place called I Storage. I called when I received the text - waited an hour on hold- to confirm the new location/time was accurate. It was confirmed and followed by text email that said â€œconfirmed and guaranteedâ€. This new locatiom was 50 minutes from my requested location! I showed up to IStorage at 3:30pm on day of pick up, and no one was there to rent the truck. I had to call your number multiple times, was transferred to 4 different people with lengthy wait times and also being repeatedly disconnected. After an hour of trying to call your number, being transferred from person to person with lengthy wait times in between and being disconnected several times, I spoke with Bri who initially said she couldn't help. We were disconnected and I called back and spoke with Bri again. She apologized and agreed to try to find another truck. The truck she found was another 50 miles away- but we took it. I had driven from Tupelo, MS with expectation that I would have a truck because I called to confirm and recieved that text that said â€œconfirmed and guaranteedâ€ Bri shared that others had this same experience that day and another family showed at this same location I was at looking to pick up a rental with no one there. I dont understand the incompetence of the scheduling process, nor do I believe you have any regard for the difficulty this caused. I do know this is not how a responsible business should be run. As a customer, I felt no regard from your company by any of your employees until I spoke to Bri on the second time.Russell C.

The driver's side door did not close properly. The tire system maintenance needed service according to the dash monitor. The hand pull for the emergency break release needed fixing. With all that said, the staff were extremely nice and helpful! And the truck itself was very clean. I will definitely use them again in the future (just not that particular truck).SUSAN F.

Ants were in the truck and the truck was filthy and just overall dirty and the back had a rotten smell. The lift gate area is what I'm referring toâ€¦ the representative was so very nice and attentive during the rental I had not one issue with him he was awesome but the trucks are not kept up or clean in the slightestCRYSTAL G.

Make the fuel requirements just like the car rental returnâ€¦bring it back full. It's painful trying to do the guess work. I'm afraid Uhaul does because it's usually a lose lose system for the client. We either guess too low and you charge a fuel surcharge or we guess too high and put mor gas in than is required.Matthew F.

Your phone policy needs to change. It is almost impossible to call in and contact the uhaul store. Whoever came up with uhaul's current phone policy should be fired immediately. Why can't you call and have someone locally answer the phone? Only company I know of that does not answer the phone......MARK K.

This was the best U-Haul rental ever. Banks took care of getting me the commercial van. It had 9000 miles on it. Ran great - comfortable seats, all accessories worked well, easy to drive, good gas mileage, outstanding rental rate. The team that checked me in was friendly and fast. ¡Gracias!Carl P.

The weekend we had to rent was crazy. We were moving our daughter across town and of course the person â€œin front of us with out truckâ€ decided to keep it longer, which meant we had no truck. Yes, I wasn't happy, but there was no reason to get upset at the folks at this rental place because they weren't the ones keeping the truck extra. We were offered a smaller trailer and used that instead. We were looking forward to a larger truck so we wouldn't have to worry about fitting everything, but the trailer worked out, it just took us longer because we had to put things in the trailer like a Tetris game. When I returned the trailer, I went inside to get a receipt and Megan was very cheerful and made me laugh. I know she had a rough day because the place was slammed and not everyone was happy.
