Location was disorganized. Truck wasn't ready. Truck beeped everytime you got in and out. Pick up took almost an hour. The staff couldn't find the keys. The staff was not welcoming.

1) Rear door cable needs to be replaced. It is going to jamb imminently. The cable is all over the place. 2) The truck likely needs an alignment. It drifts left and the steering wheel point to the 10 o'clock position when going straight.

My only feedback that I feel strongly about improving the policy for handling tolls on long-distance drives. PLEASE make sure you have clear policy and inform your staff of it. I asked the MANAGER at the Ann Arbor store as I was picking up the truck how tolls would be handled - would I pay cash, is there a transponder, etc. He explained that UHaul uses a license plate reader and that I should use EasyPass lane. Well, exiting the Ohio Turnpike in the EasyPass lane was a dumpster fire with your U-Haul truck at the center of it. Traffic backed up behind me until toll agent came over and explained that the Ohio Turnpike has no such thing for U-Haul and collected $24 in cash from me. I was able to proceed but I received the ire of the drivers behind me in differing forms of road rage for the next mile or so. Other than that, it was a great experience.

The mobile app is terrible. I was unable to take out or return the truck with the app. Fix it or get rid of it and stop advertising 24/7 access The truck did not have cruise control which made it a challenge to drive.

I have used the U-Haul services at the State Street location (Ann Arbor, Michigan) and the staff there have always treated me right.

When I placed the reservation I included dollies as part of the reservation. When I picked up the van I was informed none were available. This was frustrating because renting the van involved moving a large item and I ended up having to buy dollies to complete the task. I asked if any consideration could be made and was told it could be considered at the return, but there was no discount showing at the conclusion.

The 1/8" input jack on the stereo was mangled and unusable. Also, right side windshield washer sent the fluid over the cab and therefore didn't clean the window. The biggest problem was the mileage estimate. I got charged an additional $20 for being "over the allotted mileage". I don't know how this was calculated, but was well short of my distance. Chicago is a big place, so how did it pick an arbitrary amount? The mileage estimate was never discussed at pickup, was supposed to be a flat 2 day rental for one way transit. And I only used it for a single day. Plus, I originally had the truck booked at a station walking distance from home. A day before, got a message that I had to pick it up from the furthest station from my house. That added 10 miles right there. Another way to gouge people unfairly, will look at alternatives for future moving needs. U-Haul wouldn't credit the amount.

I do not appreciate of condone having my picture taken. That was not indicated when I signed up on line. You have all my driving info with the picture driver's license and CC. I have no idea how my image will be used. If someone is using non-picture ID that is one thing, but with a gov't issued picture ID it is over the top.

I had a hitch installed at U Haul Ann Arbor (3655 South State Street) and had a great experience. Installer Zack Pasttoria did a great job: - Clearly communicated which areas of the vehicle's underbody shroud need to be trimmed to accommodate hitch installation; - The installation took about 1 hour while I waited.

I've been using this facility for about 15 years off and on. Saturday was not great. As I was picking up my truck, everything checked off until went to turn on the heat in the cabin to defrost the windows and warm up the cabin. There was no knob to do so...long story short I eventually had to be downgraded to a van which was smaller and required more trips for my move and extended the stress and move to take up double the time. If a credit could be applied to my account I'd greatly appreciate. I went to roll down the window and that too had a knob missing. I was delayed quite a bit.

I was very happy with the service and equipment. Once I got home and loaded the trailer, I noticed that 2 of the 4 tires were really worn, so I called the Ann Arbor location and they told me to bring it back in... They put 2 new tires on it and I was ready for my 800 mile trip. The trailer handled really nice. The only issue I had with it was I was hauling a garden tractor in the trailer, and the "D" hooks were kind of small.... I ratch strapped it "gently" and nothing moved for the trip. I was really happy with the final cost of the rental. 3 days was under $100 out the door.

The manager and 2 staff members I worked with were great. My SUV's electrical system wasn't working properly for trailer use. They tried several ways to fix it including different fuses. When nothing worked the manager was super helpful in setting me up with a small truck. My experience was an 11. Give these guys a bonus.

The truck had a difficult time getting out of first, second and third gear. It took several miles to get up to speed once getting on the highway. That is very unsafe. I did report it once I returned the truck. Was it fixed or even looked at after I turned it in? I have my doubts for some reason.

They guys working were very kind, and helpful and accommodating as after beginning my moving into the unit I quickly discovered I would not be able to fit the one I had gotten and so they were kind about moving me to another unit without anything but the friendly and patience from the start and even provided me with how to switch my trailer rental return to their location which was my storage's location vs goin 30 minutes to the other town.!!! These guys provided a genuine environment of ease durning what can be an excessively stressful experience.. as mine was :-) Great staff and well maintained location

This date is the only time I moved items into #1201; am pretty sure it was as my house was foreclosed on while I had just started the Travel Nurse chapter of my 38 year long RN career, 2010 or 2011... I was working in either Mayland or California& my 1st & 2nd & 3rd daughters did the moving, for me & it was opened by my #2 daughter, who remains my secondary/backup person; as now, relisted for #1201. My VIP CERTIFICATE is assisting the rental fees for the 1 month fee waived [Thank you much!], & my details were entered into the computer system just 11.01.2023, by Brandon, AA, MI manager, once he thoroughly explained the U-Haul error.

The response time is long after I submitted a move out request online. I understood that summer is busy but having to call more than 5 times and not able to get responses from the facility is frustrating. Nevertheless, manager is polite and efficient once we got in contact. It would be good to have an estimate response time and update before having time to resolve the issue

Everything about our storage unit move in and trailer rental was very good. Only issue is the waiting in line, which was ridiculously long - like almost an hour.

This was the absolute worst Uhaul experience I have ever had. 1. There was only one person processing customers at a time when there were several customers in line. With about five customers in line ahead of me to begin, it took an hour to be served. There were several other Uhaul employees just standing around waiting to be told to fetch something or run errands. But only one person was at the computer processing customers on a Friday morning/afternoon. 2. The one person at the computer processing customers kept breaking away from his job to text message someone and take personal phone calls which made the wait unnecessarily even longer. After each time he finished with his cellphone, it took him a minute to figure out where he was and what he was supposed to be doing on the computer. 3. When it was my turn in line, he assigned me a unit (1127, I think). When I went out to the unit, it already had a chrome lock on it. It was already occupied. I went back inside and waited 20 minutes for him to finish with a customer. 4. When it was my turn again, he searched on the computer then told me he doesn't have any units. I told him that I had a reservation and asked how can they not have any units if I have a reservation. He then told me that they were over-sold and that since my reservation was free that I don't have a unit. My mind was absolutely blown. I told him that doesn't make any sense at all. I said that the Uhaul website offered me a free month's rental on a confirmed reservation for a unit. I told him that the Uhaul website didn't say anything about being oversold or that my reservation was pending or on standby for a unit to come available. I told him that the Uhaul website didn't say that if I accept the free month's rental that I would be put on standby instead of having a confirmed reservation for an existing unit. I told him that this was extremely bad business. 5. I asked him to cancel my reservation. He told me he already did. I have had a long-standing relationship with Uhaul at other locations around the country. This, by far, was the absolute worst. It was embarrassing. I'll let you guys do the analysis of my review and try to sort out how to resolve your own issues. Fortunately, there were other storage companies with available space on short notice without a reservation. I went with Cube Smart down the street. Their prices were reasonable, and their staff was extremely helpful. Thank you for allowing me to submit a review and report of what happened last week. My experience with U-Haul was horrible it was far beyond less than any expectation I would have for a company of U-Haul size we were given the wrong destination to begin with before we even left with the vehicle I called and had that corrected as well as the storage unit location corrected yet later that night when we showed up to put our items in the unit and return the truck we were not able to as the place we were sent was closed after we were told we could access to a certain time after all of this we continued to have issues with U-Haul and called them countless times three days straight and finally talk to somebody it looked at the computer fine to look at the surrounding cities to see if there was any storage available since storage was not originally set up like we were told it was

Extremely unprofessional staff who told me he only cares about his children and could care less about me as a customer. If I wrote down all of the disgusting comments he told me, I’d be typing for hours. Horrible, disgusting storage facility and when I’d tell people, who had storages elsewhere, about the price and the service, and the comments I was told, they’d laugh in shock and talk about how their storage facility manager/owner treated them like a friend with respect. Uhaul is a disgusting, disrespectful and deplorable place to rent from.

Veronica and Gary were exceedingly helpful and friendly in helping me get the right storage unit when I came in from out of town. There was a very challenging customer before me as well and they handled the situation as well as anyone could. It forced them to stay late to help me, and they deserve to be praised for how well they helped me.

Storage was great and what I paid for. I was disappointed about the price hike toward the end of my lease but like everything else I expected it. Only issue was trying to contact the office to end my storage lease. I submitted an online form and tried contacting the office for two weeks before I just went in person to ensure it was closed. The phone systems rerouted to a general line and never went directly to the store.

Checkin process was slow. The customer service center is very difficult to get ahold of. They transferred me to the local Ann Arbor facility, I left a message, never received a return phone call.
