manager gave me a free medium box given the $$ I spent renting. However, I was charged a fee for hooking up car tow trailer

A few people driving the trucks attempted to help but they were not able to get it working and didn't offer any additional help to get me out of there in a timely manner. Then I was told my reservation ended at 8 am on august 2. I knew the closing time of my home was at 1 pm so I would have never done that and I was charged for an additional day. Not thrilled and the customer service at this location and on the phone was bad.

Thomas M.My reservation was changed/canceled without notification by the regional manager. The guys at the desk were very helpful in getting me into a truck so I could get moved. It was frustrating at first, but they handled it well. I will probably try another company for the next move, mostly because of the lack of communication from the regional manager. In my opinion, that is very unprofessional.

Rebeka K.We were unable to obtain the truck via the mobile app due to the app's technical issues and had to wait in line over 15 minutes to get the truck. They had the wrong amount of fuel listed on the contract. The air conditioning went out before we made it to the destination to load the truck. It took over 45 minutes to receive a call back from the automated phone system. The manager at the Uhaul was very receptive to our issues and offered a discount. However, it has been almost 3 weeks and we haven't seen a discount/refund AND we were charged 169.00 for fuel under charge upon return which was actually filled to what we started with. This also has not been returned to us.

Our truck was not on a full tank yet we were charred additional to put it back in full when we never received the tank in full. I tried calling the office several times to get a refund for the dolly but each time I on hold for over 30 mins trying to get thru.

The miles reading was off by nearly 7,000. Also, the person assisting with the rental contract should tell the renter that a text message will appear with views of the vehicle and the miles and gas tank levels. I was not given that information.

The vehicle itself had a VERY clean interior. But I would have liked to be able to put the black stickers on the vehicle myself. Your check in online was not submitted because I could not get my pictures added. I tried 2 other times before locking the truck and turning in my key. I still have the pics and will try to submit to your email.
Joanne O.I usually don't have any issues with uhaul but this time I've been charged extra money when I shouldn't have been. I asked the gentleman who took the truck from me if there was anything he needed from me and was everything all set. He said yes. He did not mention anything about me being charged for gas or an extra day when my original contract stated I could turn it in by 5pm and I had the truck there before 1pm. The gas was more than what was in there when I rented the truck so how was I charged for 6 gallons of gas? I'm not happy about not being informed of this.

SHIRLENE H. | First ImpressionsI purchased the 24 HR access to my storage unit, yet on two separate occasions I was not able to gain access. Not only that. I chose this location due to the fact it had an additional security fence around the perimeter. For over a month the gate to this fence was left wide open due to construction. I was never notified of this or that we wouldn't have access due to construction/pouring concrete. I tried to reach the store by phone on multiple occasions, which is not possible due to the fact that I'm routed to a call center. After you wait on hold for 45 minutes the call center informs you that they know nothing about these units due to the fact that they are managed on the local level. Which it is impossible to reach them due to the fact all the calls are forwarded to a call center. In an effort to find answers I sent an email to the store with my questions about the security gate and not having access. My email was never responded to (over a 2 month period). I then receive an email and text notification from the store saying "there is an emergency with your storage unit, please contact us right away at 402-932-0440." The number was incorrect. It's is not the store number or any number for U-haul. Due to the message, I was concerned about the state of my items, especially since the number I called only ever ringed without answer. I took off work and drove to Omaha to find out what was wrong. Turns out nothing was wrong and my payment was just late. Upon arriving at the store and finding out that the store is apparently using emergency messages to trick people into coming into the store, I went over my issues. The response I received was that I must have not been doing it right because that was impossible for me to not have access. Even though the movers that I payed to move my items (for no reason since I couldn't access to my unit) also tried multiple times. I closed my account and moved my items to another location. It is a shame to see U-haul having such poor business practices, especially when they used to have such high standards.
