The customer service agent was very friendly and knowledgeable..
AMANDA DI rented a 6x12 enclosed trailer and found the tongue weight to be heavy lifting it off and on the ball because i had to unhook a couple times. Suggestion would be to put a screw jack on the tongues.

JONATHAN WThere was an issue with the dolly coming out of its cradle while driving a few times even though we had secured it....it did not do any damage but we found it once we stopped and lifted the door. I appreciate the services that u-haul makes available. I had also purchased packing materials from there in prepping for the move.
Tim SI initially rented a cargo van to move table and chairs, during registration the clerk advised I can't use a debit credit card. it has to be credit card only. So I had switch vehicles that I could rent due to only have a debit card. This location only had one size truck available. Initially I decline the extra coverage on the cargo van as I felt I didn't need the coverage. I was not re asked if I wanted coverage on the truck which I would have taken as I did when I rented a truck the week prior. I was not in the right state of mind as I was dealing with my daughter. Although this is not the companies responsibility, it is there responsibility to go over the products, terms and responsbilties. I was dealing with my daughter in the store who has Down Syndrome, that was misbehaving in the store so I was flustered and overwhelmed because now I had to rent a large truck which was also more money. I did damage the truck as I hit the canal bridge on the passenger side of the truck. This has caused me great hardship. I didn't even get to pick up the items that I rented the truck for as per the damage. Generally most of my experiences with uhaul have been excellent. I really feel that the clerk should have re-asked me if I wanted coverage as this was a new purchase/ rental agreement with new product. The clerk was very nice, friendly and efficient but I am extremely frustrated with this situation and scenario. I am now responsible to cover cost out of pocket. This is going to cause extreme hardship on my part, it was a mistake but a costly mistake.

I will say that the amount of damage both from water and from vermin was minimal - we were very impressed. My issue was with one of the employees, I'm not sure if she was the manager but in my 4 dealings with her each was disappointing and her level of professionalism was poor. On one occasion she stood with her back to me for almost 5 minutes, and after several attempts to get her attention she said "I see you, I'm busy putting on a band-aid". She could have led with that rather than making me wait. Another time she was on her phone texting, possibly for business and ignored me and I had to wait until someone else came in the shop to serve me. Another time she was eating and ignored me and I had to wait for the next attendant to serve me. The final time, she was busy talking with another employee about personal matters and I had to wait until another employee (he was very helpful and professional) to come into the shop to help me. Again, if she was busy, a simple "i'm on my break - so and so will be right with you" would have sufficed. It just seems like customers are inconveniencing her. After spending probably 15,000 over the years for storage fees, a bit of customer service shouldn't be too much to ask for should it?

He even mentioned about the door being stiff. No offer was made to oil it . When I came back later, my husky friend had trouble opening and closing the door. I was upset because I had asked them to call me when another locker opened. After waiting a month, I called myself and they said they had ONE left. I hurried in to hear another person renting a l9cker. People see old people and just ignore them, I always had good service 0reviously, maybe he didn't care as it was a cold windy day. However I will be lodging a full complaint about the two units that I rented!! The one unit which I kept all my furniture in my couch there was a piece about 2 inches long eaten by mice this couch I only purchased three months before I put in storage. The other unit was totally infested with mice and there was a leak in the right corner at the top all the way along the unit all the boxes were soaked and moldy all my clothes were damaged my vases were damaged and the mice had eaten through everything. There was absolutely no perishable goods in that unit there was no reason for mice to be in there!!!I am very disappointed with that I lost a lot of property that meant things to me and because of that storage unit I no longer have them.

Sometimes people find places to live before the end of the second month. I really recommend prorating for this reason.
