Poor customer service. The guy was so arrogant! He was asking me for down payment deposit without explain why. I had to tell him more than once that I didn't see such requirement when I booked online. By the way, the Truck wasn't clean inside!

Absolutely horrible experience. Don't use mobile pick-up / drop-off! I went to pick up my truck before opening hours via the mobile app, but the app wouldn't recognize my location dispite having permissions allowed. I then restarted the checkin process on uhauls website instead which did work, but then I couldn't drive my truck because someone forgot to put the lockbox & key in the trunk where the website said it should have been. I had no way of getting into the cab and spent the better part of an hour on the phone waiting for customer service which were unable to help. I ended up waiting in the freezing cold until someone from uhaul came to open the shop. Quick note about my truck: -I'm not being picky, but there was some trash on the floor and stuffed in behind my seat. Some empty Gatorade bottles were jostling around back there for most of my drive. -The truck's box (where I intended to put everything I owned while moving) reaked of CLR (or some other very strong chemical). I couldn't breath in the box and certainly didn't want the posessions to smell like that after the move. At the end of the day, I came back to the same uhaul location to drop off the truck after closing hours via the mobile app again. This time, neither the mobile app or the uhaul website would recognize my location (dispite permissions allowed). I was again stuck in the freezing cold, alone, and just wanted to give someone my keys so I could leave and finally be done with this. After waiting 30min for customer support, I get someone trying to walk me through the steps to turn on my location which I already did. I keep asking if I can just throw the keys in the drop-off key box since I've already topped up on feul. The person on the phone kept saying no, that breaks my contract. I'm still freezing, alone, unable to return the truck on my phone, not allowed to just surrender my keys, now my phone battery is at 1% and about to die because of all this waiting. Customer service person is reading what to do next and is confused. I beg her to just let me put the keys in the box, she says it breaks my contract but I can do it if I agree to pay $25. I'm so upset at this point but my phone is about to die any second. I agree, just to end it. Absolutely trash experience, and they didn't give me any money back.

Truck was low on air pressure on rr wheel. Why do your staff need to use their own phone to take photos of our driver license. They say your phone's, iPhone 4 are so outdated that it takes way to long to download pictures and they don't have time to wait so they use their phones to make their job faster. Shame on you!!!! You have big signs saying truck rental$19.95 but you don't mention mileage plus other expenses, tipical of big us companies.

Since I have an account, with credit card, license, etc. all on file with an 8:30 am pickup today. Too many questions and processing at the counter, in my opinion. Should just been “Here you go Mr. Peets. You know the drill”.

When trying to find the truck for the mobile pick up, it would help if the snow was cleared off the truck to be able to find the number of it easier and the parking lot was extremely icy when trying to find the truck.

The U Haul rep did not go over the operation of the truck with me. He was too lazy to even show me where the truck was parked in the lot. There is a button that you need to push on the lever to take it out of tow/haul mode....this was never explained and it made the 1200 km trip gruesome especially when trying to get up to speed from first gear. The truck was loud and no bluetooth. Could not make phone calls without straining to hear the other person. Not to be repeated.

One small complaint. I was told that the tank was full at pickup. The gauge appeared at full but it's hard to tell. I drove 7 miles and it cost me $11.34 to return the vehicles full.

Took 3 cancelations in order to actually get the trailer i wanted.. overall very disappointing. The staff at this location was amazing though he went above and beyond to help sort my situation out. I have to admit I will NEVER use the app online or over the phone again to deal with uhaul as that almost canceled my entire move. I didn't even get the trailer I wanted. Im also appalled by the cost of a one way trip. I was cheaper to rent the trailer for a week and return it then for 1 day and leave it there. Thats actually very inconvenient

The vehicle itself was “well used”. Loose steering, driver door worn and allowed air in while on highway. Exterior mirrors dirty, interior surfaces appears to have been sprayed for cleaning but not wiped clean.

The sign in procedures is not acceptable this day and age for info society purposes with the photo requirement of the front and back of my driver's res licence. I have no issues in proving my drivers licence number and other info. Scanning of the license barcode is also not a good idea for 3rd party companies. Such as uhaul. I'm sure that the uhaul lawyers and legal department make this a mandatory requirement for protection and insurance reasons. It's a risk issue I unserstabd. I'm sure that uhaul is confident on the IT personal information protection, but if the CRA, canada Blood Bank, and many financial institution s get hacked from outside sources, then I'm sure it can happen to uhaul. As a result, I will be looking to your competition in the near future for rentals.

Cleanliness and maintenance of trailer was good, however, there was a noticeable smell of urine inside the trailer, likely from a previous user moving furniture which had been soiled by a family pet.

App to check in vehicle didn't work. Stalled when uploading picture of odometer and fuel gauge. App was generally slow but otherwise seems functional. Staff provided a 15' for same price after their 10' went AWOL. That was nice, kept my move on time and good customer service.

The trailer had dirt residue from a previous rental and the pre-departure photo posted was not of the unit I rented. The attendant was polite and efficient at hooking up and the attendant and managers were pleasant and friendly when I returned the unit.

The aluminum plate in the floor of the truck about 3 feet back from the tail gate was bent up at it's corner and I tripped and banged my knee. Could have been worse. This truck should not have been rented until this tripping hazard was fixed.

Service is great. But I think that they should prorate as well. I only had my things in for a month and a half but I had to pay another full month so I lost out on $53 because they do monthly. Sometimes people find places to live before the end of the second month. I really recommend prorating for this reason.
