The female associate with dreads was left to load my car on the trailer by herself. This seemed to be due to the fact that the male associate made a mistake trying to back up my car on the trailer attached to the U-Haul. I understand that was a mistake but they should not have left her by herself to do everythingggggggg!!!!Kizzy S.

My original reservation was through Monarch Car Rentals. I needed the truck for Memorial Day but they were closed but the local coordinating office was unaware of their being closed. I was very uncomfortable with an remote pick up of the vehicle thru my phone. Better coordination needed. One of the associates at the central office transferred the rental to the location on Gate City Blvd. and did a great job of alaying my concerns about the rental.Ralph M.

I had originally reserved a 10' truck to pick up in Chapel Hill. Lady called me and said closest 10' truck would be Fuquay Varina. I Went with cargo vanâ€¦ part of what I was moving was mattress and box spring. I would not do cargo van again if moving mattress and box springâ€¦these took up most of the space.Richard S.
I reserved a 5x8 cargo trailer for 9am. When I got there there were none at the store it said it was available at after driving across town for it just for her to say I would have to drive an additional 20 miles to get the size trailer I reserved. Then made it apparent that my reservation wasn't at important as the next persons who had also made a reservation for the same trailer that was sitting out there for later. I had said that I could bring it back sooner since it wouldn't take me as many trips and I could bring it back earlier than the time I asked & she proceeded to say that I could have the 4x8 open trailer for 24 hours and though it was more trips it was cheaper. Not cool, made it feel as if because I was younger she felt she could just push my needs to the side.Maibri N.

Used the Uhaul App to get my rental after hours. It was easy to use, but glitches trying to complete the process. Could have been, wifi signal, app or who knows. It would not let me go any further than uploading image of driver's license. Once the issue was resolved, and I got the key box number and code, I was lost. Fortunately, one of the associates was still on-site and directed me where to go! Location was open when I returned, so I checked-out the old fashioned way, inside. All the staff were great! Very friendly and helpful. I would definitely use this location again! I always appreciate employees who value customers and make the experience pleasant.GREG P.

For the most part, I've had good experience here. Every few weeks I rent a garden trailer to haul a mower. I can't explain what happened the most recent visit, but the connection burned out my brake lights & turn signals on both sides. Everything worked fine when I arrived, but I left without them working.Ernest K.

This is my first time renting Uhaul long distance. Confusion didn't start until I received a call from High Point Uhaul who told me I had to drop my truck off there which was an extra 20 miles. Contacted Uhaul Via online text. That rep sent me my confirmation paperwork again which I still had. Said they had no notes of any Uhaul rep calling meâ€¦ like I was lying. I gave him the number and address of the gentleman who called me and I ended the conversation. Hopefully you all keep communication of all chats. Then I went to drop off the truck and stood inline to turn in the key for 30 minutes. Before I could say anythingâ€¦ The young lady behind me started fussing saying you left her standing there that long just to hand the Uhaul rep the key. He didn't say sorry, thank You, have a nice day. Nothing. Then I got a text from that Uhaul site where he charged me an extra $2.22 for two miles over my mileage when the lady that I picked the vehicle up from said she would give me some extra miles for free. Thought that was disappointing. Uhaul really needed $2.22 for I guess going two miles over. I was traveling a hour and a half away. That's why I paid $120 for the Uhaul. I must say I'm very disappointed and would not recommend. Bad business.LESLIE W.

The pickup truck we rented was disgusting, inside and out. We found a USED hypodermic needle in this vehicle! We also found dirty old gloves as well as what looked to be the plastic that would hold a 6pk together. The manager discounted the truck rental fee, $19.95, but I was still charged $50.00. This location as well as the Drop off location were both nice. The problem is with the company, not any of the locations. Why does each location have a phone number when no one answers except the call center. Expect the good part of an hour for someone to pick up. I also have two previous appointments to get a hitch, and both times there were no parts to install. Feel free to have someone who might care call me.Mark G.

All members of staff seem to be bothered by people coming in to lease equipment. It seems that a simple "good morning, or good afternoon" known as a simple courtesy that it is too much for them to do. They were too busy doing other things, and customer service was a disruption to their being focused on other things but customer service.Paul J.

We had a good experience with you all up until we moved our things from your facility. We moved out in January 2021 even rented a truck from you all to do so. We have received text messages, emails and phone calls until March about late payments on the storage. I even called to talk to someone to tell them that we were no longer there and they said something was wrong with their system and it kept contacting old customers and he would fix the issue. Spoke with someone else and told her that we had been long gone, she informed me that we couldn't have moved out the correct way because they didn't have record of it, even though we rented the truck from them to move the stuff. They kept asking was the unit empty and was the lock gone. Of course both of those things had happened, but why didn't they know that and they work there. The front desk associate got be lost trying to find my locker and acted shocked when I had a free month because of my trailer rental even though I showed her the reservation email and pulled up with it. I expected more from U-Haul. The upper lever units are terrible to store heavy furniture as it is only a unit on top of another like a high locker. It was after the fact that I was informed that these lockers are mostly meant for college students with limited belongings. I barely got 1 bedroom set in the lower unit minus the mattress set. I was very disappointed. The only reason I gave the second star is due to the help staff. I would not recommend this particular site for storage for houses.Crystal E. | First Impressions
