Inform people when you charge them additional fees. You guys conduct business poorly no one ever explained to me why I was charged these additional fees I was placed on hold for over 25 minutes and each person I spoke with placed me back on hold without even trying to help me at all. Location was clean and visible from the road, but due to size and traffic pattern, it was difficult to get in and out of, especially for inexperienced drivers/operators. Please separate parking between employee/customers/and rental trucks. The parking should be considered a safety violation because vehicles and foot traffic was mixed. Multiple employees were on personal phones during high volume customer time. This costs store money by the minute and does not show confidence in your product. The employees had little attention span and spent more time focused on phones than on customers. This happened several times during my three visits. Equipment Check out procedures need oversight. One suggestion is to have employees highlight vehicle numbers for identification. Equipment check in was great. Equipment return should be relocated to rear of parking. Or, please think about my first comment of separating the parking areas. Customers could not pull into the parking lot. I noticed one employee shoes were untied. This should be considered a safety violation. Also I noticed multiple small pieces of metal (pieces of equipment, screws, etc) throughout parking lot. This could lead to damaged equipment and flat tires. Store manager appears to be a great communicator (kudos). I'm not sure if manager has authority to order new parts, change parking areas, and enforce employee conduct.Reginald D.

Service was not as good as I usually receive. Late opening, Only one van available/checked in with multiple van reservations waiting. My reservation was for 9am and I didn't get the van until 10am. I live near this location and have been coming here for years for trailer rentals and propane refills. The service has gotten progressively worse, and my experience last Saturday July 16th was the last straw. The store management HAS to find some additional employees. There were only two employees there. Reggie, who was inside, was great and was doing the best he could by himself. The other gentleman outside was also extremely nice and helpful, but they were both so overwhelmed. They needed help, and the store manager failed them by not staffing correctly on a busy Saturday morning and UHaul failed them by having a horrible online check in system. Which never works, and never speeds up the rental process. 5+ trucks were backed up waiting to be turned over for the next rental. Just sitting the parking with the doors open. People waiting in line to give their trucks back. They were backed up onto Gate City Blvd, and you could not get into the lot or parking, effectively blocking a lane of traffic. I made an online reservation, and still waited nearly an HOUR to get my trailer that I reserved. The only reason I even waited that long was that I needed a trailer that day. The online check in system was not working for anyone in the store to help expedite, and that system often fails when I rent a trailer. I will not come back to this location until the store manager or Uhaul hires additional staff and makes some serious changes at this location. Additionally, UHaul needs to do a MUCH better job in streamlining their rental process and making sure their stores are correctly prepared.Charles W.

I did not receive the appliance dolly I reserved, nor can I tell if the rental fee was deducted from my bill. The truck was missing the driver's side windshield wiper forcing me to pull over and wait an hour for a thunderstorm to pass. I attempted to get hold of an employee to dispute a charge on my account. Because I didn't know her name, I told the man who answered the phone that a "young Black girl" helped me. I was trying to be as specific as I could as he wasn't sure who I was referring to. Instead, he accused me of being racist and said that I didn't need to say the word 'Black." He said, "we don't deal with racists" when I was simply trying to locate a particular employee. There is no excuse for calling a customer a racist when there is no evidence to support it. I been getting charged for a storage I never used the seal is still on the unit I never broke it because I didn't like how the storage building look and it wasn't secured. I felt like my stuff wouldn't be taken care of in that storage facilities for it to be a climate control unit. Everytime I try to go to store to turn in key card it's always a long wait and the gentleman wouldn't just let us drop off the key card so my card been getting auto charged monthly $49.99 which I found out they from customer service that shouldn't been happening if they walked their units and saw I never took off there ziptie and never put my personal lock on. When I first moved in, I had to drive laps around the building to try to find where to unload my trailer because the directions from the front office were so poor. It wasn't until I found someone working in the back that I had better instructions and was shown how to access my unit. I was also told that I had to have the lock that U-Haul sold but saw several units with different locks, which meant I was clearly lied to. There were several times my access card failed to open the door, despite following the proper steps. The "loading dock" door routinely failed to close, leaving the facility unsecured. Items such as carts and the ladder (which was not easily moveable) were routinely left in the hallway, making it difficult to get to my unit without risking injury. When I'd ask the staff for assistance, I'd be met with an attitude like I was an inconvenience. Overall, the services I received was a ripoff for the price I was paying. We had a good experience with you all up until we moved our things from your facility. We moved out in January 2021 even rented a truck from you all to do so. We have received text messages, emails and phone calls until March about late payments on the storage. I even called to talk to someone to tell them that we were no longer there and they said something was wrong with their system and it kept contacting old customers and he would fix the issue. Spoke with someone else and told her that we had been long gone, she informed me that we couldn't have moved out the correct way because they didn't have record of it, even though we rented the truck from them to move the stuff. They kept asking was the unit empty and was the lock gone. Of course both of those things had happened, but why didn't they know that and they work there. I expected more from U-Haul. The upper lever units are terrible to store heavy furniture as it is only a unit on top of another like a high locker. It was after the fact that I was informed that these lockers are mostly meant for college students with limited belongings. I barely got 1 bedroom set in the lower unit minus the mattress set.
