The interior of the van was clean but the outside was filthy. It was covered in tree sap and the back windows were almost opaque with filth. The shocks were shot. Whenever there was a bump in the road the van bounced as if on a trampoline. On the freeway the van felt as if it were sliding on ice. I had rented the van for 4 days but driving it was so stressful I brought it back in 2.JEWEL C.

I don't remember his name but the gentleman that helped me was awesome. The young man was extremely personable and willing to go out of his way, above and beyond to help me. One of the trucks was the unfortunate victim of the catalytic converter theft and he was open and honest about the situation. It was the only truck left of the size that I needed but it was his delivery, honesty, and personable skills that kept me there, rather than going to another location. I wish that young man the best in life and I hope you can track him down through my customer number to ensure he knows how well of a job he did.DAVID T.
I've rented many trucks and trailers from other Uhauls in the past. Those experiences varied between average and poor. However, my experience at your Sunrise store was beyond superior. In particular, your employee Jarren Cheathon made the experience absolutely excellent. Jarren is efficient, friendly, and professional. He was quick to greet me for the trailer return and moved me quickly through the process to finish my storage rental. I attempted to pick up the Uhaul on Saturday. But was informed the ramp was broken & it was the only one available that I requested. I pushed the reservation for the next day & was able to complete my move. Your site stated that if the truck wasn't available I would be credited 50.00. The service we received was excellent. The place and vehicles are super clean. The guy did a super check putting on trailer. A gal checked us back in and physically lifted the trailer in place. Employee didn't seem to know what he was doing when it came to helping unhook my car from the auto transport trailer and then to top it off I got charged an unloading fee which I did get refunded upon reaching out to customer service but I never was informed of this or authorized it. Also I wanted to drop off my truck much closer to my home but was informed I had to drop off to a specific location and uhaul couldn't move it around within their own locations to get their equipment where they needed it, but instead had me drive 20 miles out of my way to return it.Jamie J.

The pick up they gave me had a low back tire pressure of 19 lbs. it also was covered with tree sap I could not see out the driver side window or the front window. I had to go inside again and sign for another truck. This took up to me an extra 30 minutes. It was difficult to enter in the â€œno contactâ€ program. I did not like the delay in that I had to get into the truck and enter mileage And the gas level photo on line by myself. It was very time consuming. They gave me a second truck that was very hard to squeeze into the trucks were parked so close together. The second truck has tree sap on the windshield and driver side as well that I could not see through. I found the â€œno contactâ€ program combersome and a hassle. As a customer I want to be in and out of there without the extra burden to go online and enter stuff. The person at the desk seemed in a hurry to make me navigate through the program myself and that was that. I think U haul should consider keeping some personal customer service and not move to totally no contact service. Today made me feel like I'd rather hire a moving company or a local hauler to help me instead.KETURAH F.

I had a one way trip to the Bay area. Two day before I received a call from uhaul. The person was very nice and left a message. I tried to call back and was very disappointed with the ability to get someone to pick up in a timely manner. I feel this is a huge part of the business that you provide. People that use your service shouldn't have to spend that much time trying to finalize a reservation. Everyone moving has minimal free time to deal with additional time on the phone securing a rental.roger F.

The U-Haul truck I rented was the worst I've ever used. It Shook, rattle and rolled the dashboard was coming apart. the AC did not work very well and I rent TRUCKS from you very often for my staging job. I highly recommend you have that one moving truck taken off your lot it's 1378B it was the worst I've ever experienced. Honestly I felt in fear for my life driving on the freeway. NOT HAPPY!Julie M.

That man deserves a raise & this location needs to be staffed more thoroughly. No employee should have to manage that business on their own. Friendly staff, clean and well maintained building, air conditioning was not finished yet but its still under construction I even rented a van and they allowed/trusted me to extend and use the vehicle for a little over a week and did not hassle me about the payment. However...the very thin, pale skinned, dorky lookin ponytail guy with the glasses who has no business driving your larger trucks. I literally watched him trying to park one and it was painful seeing how he hit like two other trucks in the process.. also he was very rude and unprofessional to my ol lady and myself. The reason I wouldn't recommend is I had reserved a unit online, got confirmation and the reservation couldn't be found. So I'm not paying money for a bigger unit because I was there with my stuff and needed to store. It's a Saturday and of course it's going to be very busy but there was not enough staff on to help people. It was a very long wait. Your staff was very pleasant and helpful but very over worked which is U hauls fault, not the staffs fault. They were trying to do both uhaul trucks and storage. It was a lot for them! The other reason for the low rating is your co Outer system is slow and and accurate. I was told it was better to pay my bills in person because of glitches many times payment doesn't get recorded. I will say this rating has nothing to do with the gal that helped me and it all boils down to what I'm assuming is cooperate. The building where my storage is at is under construction and adding units. Those units won't be available for another month. However they added them to there website as though you can reserve them today. I went in there and they had one unit left which was much smaller than the unit I reserved. The unit I reserved was not available when I got to the facility. There was 2 people working but only one was handling customers. The other was working on the computer, she could have easily helped given the person in front of me took 20 min to rent a truck and that was just the time after I got there. This storage unit is about 3 hours away from where we're moving from. We decided to check in online because we knew we'd get there late. Having the access code would have been extremely convenient for us had it worked. We got there WITHIN the unit access hours but after the staff had left. Customer service over the phone and chat has absolutely no ability to help you with literally anything because even though it's uhaul, from the website, and the number is on the facility door, they're separate from them and can not help I any way shape or form. Alls the woman on the phone kept saying was, "this facility probably hasn't set up 24hr access." I said, "it says 24hr access right above the security box...it's 8pm..." and alls I kept getting after that was, "there's nothing I can do." It was literally our only available day to move our belongings and we had no other option. Luckily, a very nice woman who was accessing her unit let us in and helped us move inside. So all in all, this facility might be amazing, but holy smokes did the virtual customer service stink! I've contacted CS over chat before and they've been able to help, but little did I know they aren't connected to certain facilities in any way! Why in the world even have a 24/hr CS team if they literally can't do anything? The point of the code was to be able to access our unit contact-free on our own time. No where did it say it wasn't going to work! Make it known on your site that your having trouble with access codes or give more ability to help customers to your CS department.Chelsea M. | Online Move In
We moved out on September 21. Although we notified the staff and left the units clean and open, we received three separate bills after that one for each unit. This was very disturbing. We called and were told by Customer Service that it would not happen. It did anyway. I would have given an Excellent rating had this billing nightmare not happened.David K. | Overall Experience

I reserved a ground level unit with a credit card and then called 2 days prior to moving to ensure there is a ground level unit available, and was told that YES a ground level unit available to me. When I arrived there was no ground level unit and it took me twice as long to move in. I couldn't go anywhere else because I was on a strict time-line and felt like I was basically taken advantage of. I would recommend helping the employees to upgrade their internet or computer equipment. They have ran into issues multiple times when I've gone in for a purchase, all due to computer issues. It is clearly really stressful for them, especially because customers get frustrated about having to wait while their computers continue to have problems & respond slowly. I think it would not only help the employees but increase customer satisfaction! The customer service was excellent. I even had a rep remind me of my payment due date before it accrued a late charge which I truly appreciate given the hustle and bustle of my life. It truly meant a lot to me as a hard working single mom. When I moved in there were a LOT of leaks in the roof and I even had to change units before actually moving in due to water damage and leaks. Because of this I made sure to get the extra insurance coverage. I'm glad to say that while there were lots of leaks in the roof, thankfully my unit did not appear to have any water damage during the course of my rental agreement. I was also happy to see a lot more tenants moving in while I was moving out. So nice to see a small business thrive!Miranda H. | Overall Experience
Staff including the manger is very rude. They couldn't find time to check me out professionally, they wrote my information on a post it note and sent me on my way. Same exact treatment you get when you rent something from U-Haul. We moved ourselves 400 miles. We had to use two trucks and a trailer as well as a storage facility all from U-Haul. The moving process took us quite a while, partly because of COVID epidemic, but we successfully made the transition because of the friendly and knowledgeable staff, the dependable vehicles and solid packing materials, and the clean and secure storage facility, all from U-Haul. The manager at this location is so rude, zero customer service. What has happened to U-Haul? How is someone like this running a facility. If you have an issue to bad your dealing with corporate U-Haul it's not my problem, you want help with storage to bad we don't have time.
