I experienced Outstanding service from the moment I placed a phone call to rent a U-Haul vehicle. Employees were knowledgeable and eager to satisfy my vehicle needs. If I could make a recommendation, it would be to slow down a bit and have a little more patience with 1st time customers. It was my first time to rent a vehicle larger than an automobile, however overall service was Outstanding! I felt just a little bit rushed, but to an experienced customer, no problem! The employees could be more professional. The associates were on their cell phones, discussing their negative opinions about the other associates who works there, they were very loud when speaking with the customers. Would be nice to have 24 h access instead of until 10 pm and also a little be more friendly smiles form the staff. Luckily for us, our storage room was on the ground floor; have no idea how people might deal with loading/unloading heavy furniture to/from second floor storages as there is no elevator in the building. Very narrow corridors, which makes it uneasy to maneuver with long items. Other than that, nothing much to complaint about. Average storage facility, air-conditioned but could be a little better. I was required to go to this location at the last minute because my scheduled location did not have the truck I reserved. When I went to pick up my truck they told me I had to drive back to the other location to get the moving blankets and stretch wrap I ordered because they didn't have any. I was already out an additional $50 because I had to ride share to this location- I flew to Memphis and stayed adjacent to the downtown Uhaul pick up spot- but after I arrived they didn't have the truck. The downtown location is really at fault for NOT telling me I had to get my blankets from this store before riding out to the location. Poor customer service by Uhaul.Ronald F.

Ensure that customers are able to receive the equipment they reserved. I reserved a 26 ft truck with a 7 a.m. pick up; however, I ended up with a 20 foot truck. As a result of not getting the 26 ft, I had to extend one day and I put more miles than planned. Moving is very expensive without having to pay extra for the wrong equipment.JENNIFER H.

My reservation was to pick-up at the Summer Ave. location. The day before I was scheduled to pick-up the trailer I got an Email from U-Haul changing the pickup location to the Lamar Ave location. When I arrived at Lamar Ave location they were clueless about my reservation and did not even have a trailer available. I was directed back to the Summer Ave location. The Lamar Ave. personnel were not able to call the Summer Ave. location and confirm that they had a trailer for me. The trailer I finally picked up at Summer Ave. was filled with dirt, weeds, and trash. I filled a 5 gallon bucket cleaning out the trailer. The trailer was hooked up and the light were "checked". I was told the brake light, turn signal, etc were all working fine. I should have checked myself. The lights were so dim that they could not be seen except when standing 6 inches away from the trailer. This almost caused a serious accident when I was trying to return to the right lane after pulling over into the left lane to avoid a disabled vehicle on the side of the road and an inpatient driver passed me on the right despite the use of the right turn signal.Brian A.

improve the on-line check-in experience. The web site wouldn't upload pictures (perhaps it's not iPhone friendly). I had to check in the day of pick-up, which cost maybe a half-hour, including waiting in line. The clerk sent me a link, which allowed me to upload just fine. I bought a couple locks because I was told the'd fit the trailer/hitch (In fact I could see no way any lock would fit the trailer!) but they didn't so I had to return them.William M.

Most of the workers at this location are rude it's incredibly unbelievable there are very few that actually have customer service skills I couldn't wait to move out so I wouldn't have to deal with any of them ever again. The night I moved out a white lady working cause I don't have names said it would be $20 to unhook and hook my carrier back up to the truck, I thought it was ridiculous but whatever I'll pay it. I sent my son in to pay and the black that was working told her not to do it and from my understanding from another customer he felt like she was talking nasty to him so he came out to help us. I'm just glad it's over! You guys charged a whole month and I was only there less than a week this pay month, then no one ever called me for a location to pick up my reservation so I had to find a location in another state at the last minute and drive 3 hours y'all are the worse.Yulander L. | Overall Experience

I have been using U-Haul storage since 2004 and in Feb 2021 I was able to get rid of one of the 2 rooms that I had. It was a sense of relief. I have had bad service many times when I had to interact with the front office staff. The day before yesterday, May 1st, 2021, I had to go to the office because your computer system was down. This is unacceptable. I was unable to pay my rent online. I had to drive 9 miles one-way because I did not want to be late with my rent. I stored half of my household in room 1713 for 15 1/2 years and finally on February 2nd, 2021 I consolidated all my possessions into room 1705. Over the years, I have noticed that the quality of service of this facility has gone down. It seems that when I ask for something, they are doing me a favor. It took a month for the office to acknowledge that I had emptied room 1713 which I communicated with the attendant at the front office immediately after I cleaned the room. They even sent me an email asking me for payment of rent of the unit after 3 weeks that I have emptied it and released it. I reserved a 10x15 unit before hand and the staff said that they could not rent the last kind of unit, so they may not be able to give me the 10x15 that I reserved??? The cashier also said that workers would show us where my unit was, and help us unload. The workers did neither.
