This location was fantastic! Aretha assisted me with transferring my reservation from the Millington location to theirs. Millington did not have the part. She got me an appointment 2 days later. She was also there when I dropped off my vehicle and she was very courteous and speedy service. My vehicle was completed in 30 minutes flat! This review is not a knock on the store. The store did exactly what corporate gave them to do from what I can figure. I bought a $30 harness and got what looks like a $5 or $10 harness. Labor cost was fine. The part bought and received are not satisfactory. A ball of wire lying in my trunk is unacceptble. I should have gotten something that passed down to the hitch and mounted securely there. Any opening to pass the harness through should have had a grommet and water tight sealed. Now my trunk is harder to close and I must worry about my trunk seal. Corporate? Local not selling the correct item? $30+ install vs $5 and I do it and I get what looks like same end result.dwight R.

The hitch that was installed on my car is rubbing my muffler and causing damage to my muffler. I thought the technicians that installed these hitches knew what they were doing! This location was great, I originally was supposed to drop it off at the Bartlett location and when I arrived to do so, the young lady working the counter was rude, laid on her horn while I was at the stop sign where you pull up to drop it off at me, she was backing a uhaul up to pull past the gate and I was not aware she was there as she was already in the uhaul before I pulled up , then sped around me and almost took out the gate that opens to pull into storage area. This is someone working for uhaul that should not be at all. Wish I knew her name but this was Sunday morning at 7399 hwy 64 location.Tiffany B.

Storage unit was fine. Customer service experience was horrible. I ordered a uhaul and tried to get them to pull it out of the parking spot for me to get it ready for a walk around, etc. but manager said they wouldn't do it. Self pickup lady was horrible. Lady in lobby was helpful Engine light came on - had to replace oil in unit. Not clean at all. Had to wipe down before driving. Frustrating - changed pickup site twice. I made a reservation online and I also checked in online. Go inside uhaul to wait in a long line with only one person working. The girl pulls my info and tells me to go get loaded up with a trailer then come back inside to fill out my paperwork. I go get loaded and come back in and the line is still extremely long. Worst part is she expected me to wait in line again. I walked to the front of the line and I gave her the ultimatum of give me my paperwork to fill out or I'll just leave with the trailer. She tried to ignore me, so I proceeded to leave. She saw me leaving then made an announcement to everyone that she had to get me my paperwork because I had a reservation. Everything about this location is backwards and the fat girl behind the counter needs to go back to Wendy's.PRENTISS B.

I waited in a line for 8 minutes where a rep was setting at the register and did not greet me or acknowledge me and she was chit-chatting with another employee while I waited. I finally asked if I need to be in the other line and she eventually said yes. This location overcharged us, had to refund us money, and charged us for fuel when the truck was given to us in Nashville was empty. We had to fill it. So we returned the way it was given. Neither would I recommend the East Shelby Drive location. Called me everyday until I returned the truck when I have paid to rent it.Olubayo S.

When I picked up the uhaul they requested that we check in online in submit our documentation. No big deal well the website buffers and when it's time to get to the cashier they still need to see your id because they system tends to reject imagines. Secondly, at the time of drop off the location service would not work with my iOS device so I had to call customer support with not luck after waiting 30 minutes and then I tried the live chat with no help. Will contact them in the morning to ensure that I'm not charged the $200 fee associated with a rep processing my check in. I wish they had an alternative for returning rental besides the phone maybe a 1-800 number or some.Demarcus D.

I have always used the Lamar location. Whenever I book online there i am in and out in 5 minutes as they have everything ready. This location not only didn't have anything ready they had one person running 3 registers while 4 other employees stood around playing on their phones. I will NEVER use this location again. Poor service all the way around. If I can't get what I need at the Lamar location I just won't use Uhaul at all. Frequent customer disgusted.ELIZABETH W.

Remove the 2 ladies at the front counter or have them take additional training on how to take care and keep a customer. Remind them that cell phones and texting while serving a customer is unacceptable. Remind that raising the voice and throwing a person's personal property on the floor when called out for said cell phone usage and asking for the general manager name and telephone number is completely outrageous. Also, having outdated information to get in touch with the general manager as well as a lack of response from the â€œpresidentâ€ of said organization- the other number on the out-dated information is unacceptable as well. I stopped by to drop my car transport before going to unload the truck and the two guys that helped me were quick, efficient, and friendly. I returned the truck after hours which was easy and fast through the app. Highly recommend this location.Brienne P.
The 26' truck had two completely bald tires and the motor was puttering the whole ride. After 40 mins on the expressway only able to go 40 MPH we stopped to check and noticed the issue. We had to have the truck towed the next morning. There were lots of issues throughout Saturday until Wednesday, but after submitting a ticket in regards to a refund for incorrect charges Aretha Was VERY polite and pleasant to deal with. She quickly found the issues in the charges and issued a refund with no question which was great. After so many issues and phone calls with U-Haul it was nice to receive a call instead of waiting on hold for someone to answer and when i spoke with her she gave a quick resolution. I would do business with u-Haul again bc the customer service rep and Aretha!Pam S.
When I returned my trailer to the Memphis Summer Ave location, Ms Aretha was very helpful. She had arrived to start the workday early (Tuesday May 4th 6:50 am), site officially opens at 7 am. She instructed me where to drop my trailer and completed the checkout process flawlessly. She was very courteous and was friendly the whole way. I have been using U-Haul storage since 2004 and in Feb 2021 I was able to get rid of one of the 2 rooms that I had. It was a sense of relief. I have had bad service many times when I had to interact with the front office staff. The day before yesterday, May 1st, 2021, I had to go to the office because your computer system was down. This is unacceptable. I was unable to pay my rent online. I had to drive 9 miles one-way because I did not want to be late with my rent. You should hire better IT personnel and if it was due to power failure, you should have a Diesel generator.JULIO C. | First Impressions

I stored half of my household in room 1713 for 15 1/2 years and finally on February 2nd, 2021 I consolidated all my possessions into room 1705. Over the years, I have noticed that the quality of service of this facility has gone down. It seems that when I ask for something, they are doing me a favor. It took a month for the office to acknowledge that I had emptied room 1713 which I communicated with the attendant at the front office immediately after I cleaned the room. They even sent me an email asking me for payment of rent of the unit after 3 weeks that I have emptied it and released it. The staff could not explain policies effectively. I reserved a 10x15 unit before hand and the staff said that they could not rent the last kind of unit, so they may not be able to give me the 10x15 that I reserved??? The manager did not help at all while the store clerk/cashier attempted to simultaneously check out three customer's orders. The cashier also said that workers would show us where my unit was, and help us unload. The workers did neither. The manager refused to check out my truck rental that I needed to drop off, and kept calling on the radio for someone else to do it. No one did until AFTER closing time.Jarred C. | First Impressions
