This location should lock the doors at 6:50pm if they do not plan on working until 7:00pm. I arrived at 6:50pm parked trailer and walked into the building to check the trailer in. There were 3 female employees and 1 male employee who may have been the manager. They allowed me to walk in the building and walk up to the register and waited until the clock turned 7:00pm and told me it is now after 7:00pm and I had to leave the building and check the trailer in online. That was rude and unprofessional especially since they were just standing at the registers talking. They could have said they were closing when I first walked in the door. I am only giving them 3 stars because the young man who helped hook the trailer to my vehicle was helpful and professional.Travis C.

Rude and nasty couple of young women at the front desk. One with a ponytail with blue color accents and the other with shoulder length wavy hair. The one with the wavy hair was busy overlooking me being next in line by asking the older caucasian man behind me if he needed assistance. I spoke up about it. I'm an African American woman. They were giving nasty looks & speaking rudely while behaving as if they were being bothered by doing their jobs. This was my first & last time doing business at this Summer Ave location. I will advise anyone I know to avoid this location If their looking for decent & timely customer service.TAMIKA S.
The two young ladies at the front counter were really rude. I.e talking rudely concerning me trying to get a rental, crazy looks, and even asking the man behind me if he needed help, after I had been standing in line with no one in front of me. I had been standing in line about 5 mins while she looked up at me periodically but did not address me. They were not helpful at all and I'll never use the Summer Ave location again. I requested my equipment at another location and this was changed. When I get to the location on summer ave the employees were rude.PHILIP T.
I arrived 10min prior to pick up time and didn't get my rental until 1.5hrs later. Waited in line for 30 min only to be Told I had already started check in so they couldn't help me.....I had not started the online check in. They sent me to the parking lot to sit and complete before I came back in. I completed it then stood in line for another 20min. Once I finally got to the counter they said they didn't have the furniture pads I had ordered. I then sat there 10-15 min while they searched for the keys(they lost them). Fast forward I finally recieved my rental with 170,000miles and the Check engine light on. The cab smelled like it smoked 2packs a day. The location was very â€œtickyâ€ about the gas. The truck I rented was not 7/8th full when I got it, but she listed it that way. I returned it in the approximate position anyway. I was charged an extra 7.60 for gas. I'm not happy about that at all. The check engine light was on. Also couldn't return at another city location. Didn't make sense.DEVIN B.

The cashiers complained about their job the entire time while I was checking in for my truck rental on 3/28/2021 at 11 a.m. Which was extremely unprofessional. The truck I had reserved wasn't available and I was not notified of that until I called customer service before checking in. The personnel were very rude. First time using the app to check in and out and apparently they wanted to do the check in and screamed at me that I parked in the wrong area. The girl that came over said she was charging me a cleaning fee because of sand in the bed of the truck. I went to go pick up a couple of pieces of furniture that's all. I pointed out that there was also a piece of a water hose, a spoon, and nails in the bed too that I did not do. She, luckily for her, did not wind up charging me for something I didn't do. I also reported at checkout that someone left a whole pack of cigarettes inside the truck and it smelled like smoke. The cabin was very dirty and smelled awful. The "outside" people were extremely friendly and helpful. However, the young lady who checked me in was not especially. I stood in line waiting for the agent to finish with the man before me not realizing there was another agent. Finally she noticed me and called me over. The thing that bothered me the most I knew I had a short short distance but on her own she filled in 158 miles. I told her no way it would be that much but she said it would be credited back, which it was but caused me some concern until it was. I went 31 miles. She used a marker on the paperwork and handed it to me saying nothing about the marks. I said I just heard the other agent go over this with her customer I would like you to do the same for me. She then told me why it was marked. I got outside and got a notice on my phone for me to check the truck, etc. She should have told me to expect that. I just happen to see it. But the others were more than outstanding in their helpulness.JOAN K.

I stored half of my household in room 1713 for 15 1/2 years and finally on February 2nd, 2021 I consolidated all my possessions into room 1705. Over the years, I have noticed that the quality of service of this facility has gone down. It seems that when I ask for something, they are doing me a favor. It took a month for the office to acknowledge that I had emptied room 1713 which I communicated with the attendant at the front office immediately after I cleaned the room. They even sent me an email asking me for payment of rent of the unit after 3 weeks that I have emptied it and released it. Your computer system was down. Receptionist was pathetic with no customer concern or solution. All employees had zero initiative without any leadership. I was directed to call another local number in Memphis. Person there could verify my reservation even though I presented a paper copy. That person did a great job. Why couldn't the summer ave employee help customers by call the other number and assisting in confirming a reservation and getting customers on the road rather than saying â€œI have no idea when the system will come up and no reservations of equipment can be released. There were 4-5 parties all waiting. You all need more customer service training. Seriously, you can release equipment without a backup plan??? Really sad you run a business this way. I called the six Uhauls nearest me (1400 Audubon Point Drive, Horn Lake MS 38637 and was told by each they had no 6 X 12 enclosed trailers. No one had any advise as to how I could locate one and I needed it within 24 hours. I kept calling stores further away from me until I reached a transmission shop in Memphis who rented Uhauls and they gave me a phone number I could call where this trailer could be located nearest me. Wow. Why didn't the first 6 tell me that. I called the number he gave and they immediatley found a trailer about 45 minutes from me and told me to go on line and reserve it. I did and made an account and even checked in to expedite my pick up. When I arrived to the Summer Ave location, I was told I needed to go "somewhere else" to get a trailer because her computer system was down. I explained that I had already confirmed there were no other trailer around and really needed this trailer to move to another state. She could not help. I explained I had already checked in and had my confirmation number and Uhaul already had my credit card number and the amount of charge and could just bill it when the system came up. I again suggested she did call someone. Eventually she did and they OKd this so I got my trailer. But " go somewhere else"? Really? That was her first reaction? Like I was bothering her phone time (which I believe I was)james I.

I had a enclosed trailer reserved. When I got there I was told they should not ha e reserved it because they didn't have the size I requested. The lady offered me a smaller trailer. The trailer I rented is a 6'x12' trailer with a ramp. I needed it to move a 5.5' wide machine. The rear of the trailer has flair on each side that cuts in about 8â€. This effectively makes the trailer less than 5 feet wide. It did not work for my purposes and was a complete waste of my time and money. Truck wasn't dirty but it needs to be taken off the road for repair. I could barely keep it in the lane and on the road. There was so much slack in the steering wheel, it was VERY hard to keep it on the road. I was pressed for time or I would have exchanged it. Staff was very friendly and efficient.Megan H.

I felt the young lady who was to finalized my storage locker closure did not take my concerns to heart. I raised two or three concerns that I felt she could have handled, but she chose not to assist!
