Great customer service! They accommodated my storage request even though the Uhaul system reserved a storage unit they did not have. Uhaul's reservation system needs to a better job in making sure locations have what is reserved online or by phone.TIFFANY B.

Ended up having to change trucks after the first truck was inaccessible in the parking lot. Truck had a bag of dog food in the cab. Fuel level did not match what was given on the contract. Ms. Washington was very friendly though and handled everything with grace. General manager was excellent as well. Did have an issue with low tire pressure when using the truck. Filled up the tire that the truck said was low and did not have any further problems.David B.
Driver door was broken it to at some point as the top of the door did not fit to the frame of the cab and made terrible wind noise at speed!! Truck was clean but front end Alignment was way off as well! U haul's appointment procedure is a joke! I understand that good employees are difficult to find but my appointment was made a week early by u Haul which was corrected; them made for 3 days which was error #2; on pick up day the 16th the clerk found nothing pre made but my Name and that we needed a truck! looks to me like what you do online does not translate correctly??!! anyway thanks! We made our delivery as planed!!bud M.

Tried to extend our time by 1 hour and we were charged double. We ended up returning the Uhaul at 12:45pm when we had extended to 1:30pm just to be safeâ€¦ if we had known it would be double the rate we wouldn't have extended the time but nobody let us know what the charge was for extending.ALEX B.

We had a slight issue picking up the truck. I did the mobile pickup, but the truck wasn't where it said it was. I had to go inside and wait in line until I could be helped. It finally got figured out. What should have been a 10 minutes pickup, turned into almost 45 minutes. Otherwise, everything was good.Diane L.

I purchased a trailer hitch and installation online Wed. June 16th at 11:16pm. My appointment Date was supposed to be Thorsday June 24th at 4:30pm. An hour before my appointment i received a call saying that they received the wrong hitch and and have to reorder the one i ordered. It is now Sept. 7th (2&1/2Months later) and after numerous calls i still haven't heard anything!Jeph C.

Very tight access. It is hard to maneuver large trucks and trailersKristopher R.
I set everything up online, and I have used Uhaul many times before. I requested a 15ft and a furniture dolly, and while ordering online I found some moving help (victorious movers! AWESOME) I drove to the pickup location and it was packed full of trucks and difficult to enter. There was no defined line for people who wanted to get to the registers and the little girl at the counter could clearly care less about her job or the line forming in front of her. She walked outside to get a manager i guess and had 0 sense of urgency doing so.. 5 minutes later the manager gets to the register and the line started moving quickly (thank god!) Did all the paperwork and drove the truck to my house... only to find out there was NO FURNITURE DOLLY! Tried calling and no one answered. So I drove back and the manager was still rocking it at the register, but all he did for me was print out my receipt and mention how there was no furniture dolly. So I had to clarify if he was talking about my receipt or if they had none whatsoever... they had none. Seems kinda odd for a uhaul to have all those trucks packing up the parking lot but no dollies. And the receipt wasn't very informative either. Would've been great if I was told this at my first visit.. or over the phone!Eric O.

After having a very bad experience with the truck I rented from Atlanta,Georgia to come to North Carolina and no compensation giving for me missing the deadline to pick up keys to new home and being forced to rent a hotel room and to add insult to injury they charge me a full days rental for 30 mins late in return. That when they had like 30 trucks of all sizes in the lot.. will never use or recommend unless these excessive practices are remove.William A.

No one ever answered the phones - communication was poor. I was initially told the day before I was scheduled that the part didn't come in, then rescheduled and on that day was told at the end on the day that the wrong part had been sent. I would personally drive by and stop in to get any answers and the location has always been understaffed - though admittedly it has gotten worseEric B.

The Truck was not available for online pick up. When trying to get help, the general manager was watching from the office eating a bagel while a line of 5 customers grew with only one employee working the front desk. The manager then gave me the keys to the wrong truck. She went out herself to try to find the truck she gave us keys too because she didn't know where it was either. The rental items I requested we're not prepared and an employee â€œpicking upâ€ said â€œI am just picking up we might be out of all the equipmentâ€. When we returned the truck an employee wreaked of marijuana and said â€œoh shit I don't know what to do with the truck, it's my first dayâ€. Needless to say, it was an awful experience. We had a 9 am pick up and we did not leave until after 10 am.colton O.

The uhaul website is just awful... especially if you have to make a change. The app isn't any better. Signed up to create an account...since the website wouldn't allow a change without logging in to an account. Never received the verification code despite multiple attempts. Then I calked customer service...git put in hold for 19 minutes, 22 minutes, 15 minutes...finally on my last call...I got a human...but then he put me in the hold queue. That's just not acceptable. You guys really need to re-examine the user experience. It's not good. At all.David S.

Location would not answer phone. At one point someone picked up the phone then hung up. We arrived 15 minutes after closing. Numerous trucks with doors open and engines running. We walked around and called out to see if anyone was around. No answer. We moved the trailer to an out of way area and disconnected. After that a man came out and yelled at us. He was rude and unprofessional. He told us to put it with the other trailers. I showed him that the trailer area was full and he had a complete â€œfreak outâ€ on us. We got in our truck to leave while he continued to scream at us.STEVENW O.

I scheduled for a pick up at one location. I showed up to the location and couldn't get access to my truck nor could I check in "mobile" after I called customer service, he emphasized that someone was supposed to call me to follow up after my reservation. However, I never received a call to let me know that the location changed to a place 30 minutes away from my actual location. This was a terrible set back and delayed my process 2.5 hrs today. I am extremely dissatisfied with the communication. TheDaniel B.

Rented from five U-Haul locations in as many days and this location was by far the best run with the least stressed out staff. Just three or four employees but they were in total sync. Wanted to rent here exclusively but equipment I needed was only available at other locations - which made me appreciate this store even more. How to improve? Other locations advice: TALK TO US! When 10 people are ahead of you inline and I don't know if I'll lose the reservation because it takes 30 or 40 minutes to check in, and the time comes off of my rental! That is not fair! Also not fair person in front of me finds out (after waiting 40 minutes in line) out that the equipment they need hadn't been returned. Another customer was told the key was locked in the truck and UHaul didn't have a spare! Employees looked totally stressed, avoiding any eye contact with those of us in line. Precheck doesn't eliminate waiting in line which surprised me. Uploading drivers license picture using Chrome browser on android didn't work. Had to start the process over with Firefox, so the precheck kind of sucks. Not sure what the point of PreCheck is when it doesn't seem to move you through the process any faster. Last but very important: UHAUL deceptively advertised daily rental rate ie on moving truck BUT YOU CAN ONLY RENT 4, 6, 8 HOURS. Literally takes a call to CS to even TRY to get a 24 hr rental which involves being on hold for 30 or 40 minutes and no guarantee the rep will find you a 24hr rental. Absolutely forget about getting 24 hr rental mid or end of the month.Nancy W.

The dealer did not schedule the drop off site for me so when I tried to drop my trailer no dealer would take it, nor were they interested in trying to help me in any way. I was on the phone trying to work with national Uhaul customer service for over 3 hours. It was a horrible experience. I was cutoff numerous times and it took at least 30 minutes for each of my calls to be answered. Finally I told them to extend my rental at no additional charge and I would return the trailer near home. The bad part was that I had to pull the trailer everywhere I went.PHILLIP C.

THey asked why I didn't have 12 moving blankets and I explained I was lucky to get the 6 they gave me, even though I had reservd more. Also, I have not seen the $10 refund for the dolly rental, which I was told I would receive since there was no dolly available for me and I had prepaid for everything.Sharon M.

Staff arrived onsite half hour after opening time. My scheduled pick was 9am, by the time staff got it at 930am, not only had I lost 30min in the time I had to move, but they also notified me that internet was out and my reservation couldn't be fulfilled. I had to then drive to another location and hope they had the same equipment I could rent. In all, it was a horrible experience.
