I wanted to have hitches installed on both of my car. An appointment was made for 10/21 at 8 am and for 10/23/21 at 8 am. I arrived on 10/21 at 7:30 and was advised that they had moved my 10/23 appointment to today and my 10/21 appointment needed to be rescheduled since they did not have the hitch available. No prior notice was provided to me of any of these changes so I ended up wasting my morning. Plus, the office clerk was a young lady so what much more interested in eating her breakfast and being on her phone than helping me resolve the errors that U-Haul caused. The customer service was just crappy as was her efforts to help me. Since they did not have my part, I called around at other U-haul facilities and they did have the part/hitch so I asked if I could keep my appointment, purchase the hitch at another store and come back for the installation and the store advised that if I did that it would be a drop off appointment instead of a wait while they work type appointment. I was confused! I had an appointment at 8 am for installation so why can't I just go get the hitch from the other store and come back for my installation. There was no willingness to help me out even though I was there timely and it was their fault for not having the part and I had made this appointment 1 week prior. Bottom line was that they did not want my business! I went to the Statesville Avenue U-Haul store and they were extremely eager to sell me their hitches in stock and they provided me with great great customer service! Well, the difference was that at the Statesville Avenue Store, I was dealing directly with the owner and her older staff while the South Blvd Store had a young lady running the office who was more interested in her breakfast and phone. I'll be so glad once this labor shortage is over and customer service and improve at all locations. I will always use and recommend the Statesville Avenue Store even though it is 20 minutes further away from me! MatthewMatthew C.

Truck was full of gas. Mileage was accurate. Typically a N Tryin customer. I prefer this location. Also don't have to walk all the way behind the building to find the truck, then all the way back to get the key, then all the way back to get the truck, like on Tryon. I was over charged. I reset the miles before leaving the lot. Zeroed it out only used 37.6 miles but was charged for over 50 miles. I wouldn't recommend this location at all.Vincent W.

I was really disappointed that I booked this trailer well in advance at a location close to where I live and it was moved to a different location. This cost me an additional hour of driving which was very inconvenient. When I asked if I could return it to a closer location, I was told no. UHaul could have given me more advance notice as opposed to 24 hours on this so I could cancel reservation and make other arrangements. This will likely be my last time renting with UHaul as I was offered no discount, very little heads up, and wasn't ideal when I have plenty of other rental options available in the marketplace.CALVIN S.
The location checked my truck and said everything was good. An hour later I got a bill of $65 because my gas tank was not full. I went back to the location to fix the error. I had my unit for about 2 years, maybe longer. The store manager, Keith Washington has always shown top notch professionalism. From the first time I entered the store, his interactions with not only his team but the many customers was seamlessly smooth, relaxed and efficient. He should be commended on running a 5 star operation! I booked my 10' moving van 10 days ahead of time on-line for the Ballantyne location and chose the contactless pickup option and downloaded the U-Haul app onto my phone. I arrived at the Ballantyne location at 5:15pm on 9/23/21 and located the van. The key was not in the ignition, so I went into the office, and was told the key was lost. They searched for the key for 1 hr 15 minutes while I waited at the desk. They never found the key so they booked another van at the South Blvd location 12 miles away.VERNON W.

I had a big problem returning with the app. It would not let me submit photos even though I followed instructions and was very frustrating and I am not sure if I paid more because of not going through the system correctly, but it was not possible for me to do so.KAITLIN R.
Very difficult to pull out of the location into traffic as a first time driver of a large vehicle. Others were also observed to have difficulty with the heavy traffic on south blvd. Assistance with pulling out into traffic would be most appreciated as I appreciate that the location has limited access points. Ended up having to change trucks after the first truck was inaccessible in the parking lot. Truck had a bag of dog food in the cab. Fuel level did not match what was given on the contract. Ms. Washington was very friendly though and handled everything with grace. General manager was excellent as well. Did have an issue with low tire pressure when using the truck. Filled up the tire that the truck said was low and did not have any further problems.David B.
Driver door was broken it to at some point as the top of the door did not fit to the frame of the cab and made terrible wind noise at speed!! Truck was clean but front end Alignment was way off as well! U haul's appointment procedure is a joke! I understand that good employees are difficult to find but my appointment was made a week early by u Haul which was corrected; them made for 3 days which was error #2; on pick up day the 16th the clerk found nothing pre made but my Name and that we needed a truck! looks to me like what you do online does not translate correctly??!! anyway thanks!
