The mobile check in was very chaotic. The staff seems like they are overworked. The truck did not have any gas. Please do better.
Brittney HWould be great to encounter a property manager who actually cared, at minimum, to provide some sort of quality customer service. The attitude amongst everyone at this location has consistently been "what do you want?" as opposed to "how can I help you?" It starts from the top and this woman should not be leading this team.

Gillian Cmy only complaint is that the whole cabin of the u-haul reeked of cigarette smoke, it was raining outside and i still had to ride with the windows down because of how bad and strong the smell was. it was terrible! the unit it's self was clean but the smell was horrible and no one shouldn't have to choose getting wet by the rain over staying warm with the windows up.

Told the 2 workers I had rented a unit online, even pointing to the email on my phone, but was told this was the process. After walking myself to the 2nd unit and not being able to access it, I left. Extremely frustrated.

Steve LI don't give you a 5 start because I uave one complaint. The loading docks were never available. I used a truck to load and upload my equipment and I was forced to use the ramp wich make my job harder. Your workers park trailers in there and also people who rent trucks park their cars in the loading docks bays. That socks please try to enforce people to leave the loading docks empty for when people with trucks need them. Other than that everything was good. Gracias

It forced changes to my moving day plans and added an unplanned commute into the city. It felt like false advertising of a service. This was not an issue with location but an overal UHaul problem
James KI ALWAYS have problems with the app and the staff in the office did not want to help me. They wanted me to use the app instead of helping me themselves. It took me half an hour to be able to drive off the lot after my arrival due to the app and having to call UHAUL for help.

KEVIN MThe employees, for the most part, reflect the frustration of the owner/manager. Her attitude is pervasive and poor. The facility is good and well run which shows that she's capable of, but shouldn't interact with personnel. The employees are even charming when she's not around, at times.

The fact that we need 2 contacts for ID verification because the passport doesn't work well, or to do the pick-up steps in a browser because the app doesn't work well when I had already downloaded it, is annoying and inconvenient on what is already a stressful logistics-full day

Robert OI needed assistance with the app, and the young lady who assisted me was extremely helpful. I really appreciate that. When I returned the vehicle to the garage, the employee on duty sat there smoking a cigarette. He finished, then told me that I could get out of the truck. Very abrupt and discourteous manner. One person will not spoil what was a good experience, but you need to be aware of how some employees get what good customer service is, and how others do not.

They worked as theft They took the truck from in front of my home with my stuff inside it and now I missed many expensive items I will call the police or you have to solve the issue Besides today they deducted 666$ from my account Extra charge like theives I need the refund and I need to back my valuable items from the truck ( they took the truck from my home even before I informed them I will extent because of elevator issues) I need my money back and the stolen items from the truck to back or I will file case in the court No regards Sad experience Ghali
ghalia bMy experience at this U-Haul location was mixed. Unfortunately, the male customer service representative was condescending and made me feel like I was bothering him simply by asking questions. Despite being the only customer in the place, his attitude was dismissive and unhelpful. He mumbled instructions, and when I couldn't understand or hear him, he seemed irritated, which made the interaction very uncomfortable. On the bright side, the female staff members were a breath of fresh air. They were patient and understanding, especially when the technology didn't cooperate. Their professionalism and willingness to help salvaged what could have been a completely negative experience. It's clear that whoever supervises this location needs to invest more time in training staff on proper customer service skills. Additionally, it would be beneficial to send incognito customers to test whether these skills are actually being implemented. Customer service should make people feel welcome and supported, not like an inconvenience.

Crystal WI always like going to S Capitol Location for years now!, Only problem I had is that the truck was on 5miles to E!, & That was crazy because why would y'all renting out trucks on Empty, other then that I will continue and is pleased with S Capitol Location! They was real helpful and nice everytime I go so i highly recommend U-Haul you can get everything took care of with U-Haul.

Jason KOnly single elevator was in working condition. That too had to be manually operated. Also the elevator doors didn't close as expected. I was assigned a unit which was stacked on top of another smaller unit. This made it impossible for one person to load heavy objects. This should have been made clear before booking.

Please come up with an easier version of rental agreement. Also at the end of the rental the app was not working for the truck located on the side of the truck.

DOUGLAS CI picked up the trunk and the gas tank was almost empty. I have never had that happen before or after many U-Haul rentals. Additionally even though the storage area was locked tight and shut the items that I was moving were quite wet as water had somehow seep in to the storage area. I am currently assessing the damage to my items. The car was never parked on a hill and was in motion almost the entire time so this was quite unexpected.

Phyllis D | First ImpressionsAs an Active Duty military member, I have rented from UHaul several times over the past 30 years. This was the worst customer service experience ever. The manager was only marginally helpful upon arrival, directing me to use my phone for the check in but unable/unwilling to help beyond that. I picked up the van and the Low Pressure TPS light was on saying the rear right tire was flat. I checked the tire and it was fully inflated, so it was just an error with the sensor. When I returned I had the worst experience. The gentlemen accepting the car was rude and bossy from the moment I pulled in. He used abrupt and signals and commands to me - never a please or a request. "Pull up to here!" I began the self-return process and took the blackest and dolly out of the van. The gentlemen then accused me of throwing them all on the ground and said I had to fold them all or I would be charged. He was very rude. I completed all the photo taking and then began folding the blankets. He again reprimanded me for "throwing the blankets on the ground." How else am I supposed to remove all the blankets from the van so I can fold them? I folded them all, placed them neatly on the dolly, and I left. 5 minutes later the manager (same woman as before) called me and accused me of throwing the blankets on the ground. I explained to her what happened and how I folded them all. She said "well there video cameras and I will review them." I said please do. She was rude and accusatory. I felt disrespected and borderline discriminated against. I would like to speak with a customer service rep.

APRIL WI've always when I needed a rental space or a U-Haul vehicle. I've always used this particular U-Haul in Southwest Washington DC off of S. Capitol St. and it's the U-Haul that I've been to so far.!

Before I could even ask a question, staff just barked at me, "go to U-haul.com". They would not help or answer any questions. Just ordered me to go online and figure it out myself.
David KThis was my first experience with this location. I pre-registered online so that I could have a more efficient experience. It did not feel that way. There was no obvious signage directing customers on how to pick up the truck, if they had an online reservation. So I waited 15 minutes to get to the counter. Once there I was directed back to the Uhaul site. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the long wait. I stated that I could have just walked in for counter service. I was abruptly told that it wouldn't matter because they don't have counter service for truck rental anymore. I log into the app. It takes more time to get approved, even though I already provided the exact same information prior to arriving at the store. As I'm waiting I get a text from my emergency contact, asking me to explain why Uhaul is contacting them. I was wondering, "What if my person wasn't available?" I finally get approved... again. I get the keys from the dropbox and find the truck. The truck is clean but the tire pressure warning light is on. The tire pressure readings are extremely concerning. The front tires read 60 and 54 . The rear read 0 and 77. However, the truck appeared to be more appropriately inflated. I use the truck and bring it back. I go in to drop off the keys. After waiting in line, again, I'm asked for where I parked the truck. I put it back in the space I picked it up from. I was told to pull it inside and to leave the keys in the cupholder. But when you pull in, there are two options according to the signage. The first indicates that someone will be out to help you. No one comes. I see the second option is checking it in via the app. After waiting for 10 minutes, I take that approach. The app indicates that I should leave the keys in a drop box. There is no signage for a drop box. So I walk back into the facility and wait in line AGAIN to ask about the drop box. She tells me to leave the driver's window down and leave the keys in the cupholder. I point out that the app indicates there is a drop box. She repeats "put the keys in the cupholder." I point out that no one was in the back and anyone could walk in and access the truck. She repeats "leave the driver's side window down and leave the keys in the cupholder." I point out that I don't want to be responsible for anything that might happen to the truck between the time I leave the keys and whenever it is discovered by an Uhaul employee. She repeated the same phrase, "Leave the driver's side window down and leave the keys in the cupholder." I did. Ultimately, the attitude of the employees lacked engagement, nuanced articulation, and led to a less than desirable experience. I would only recommend this location based on proximity, not due to professionalism, courtesy, or customer service.

From the moment I walked up to the service desk, I was greeted with hostility and complete disregard of assistance. The app was difficult to navigate, so I sought desk assistance. The associate, Charmise, made it clear that doing her job was an inconvenience to her. I will not be returning to this u-haul location or recommending it to others. This extremely negative customer service experience affected my entire experience.

I would have given a below average rating and will not recommend the facility for the location and lack of air conditioning. Having the stadium next door is problematic when games occur. It is extremely difficult to out of the area. The lack of air conditioning is an issue. The heat was sweltering. Someone could potentially have a health crisis due to the heat. Lastly, the automatic elevator was improperly functioning or not working at all. Over the course of my facility usage, this was not an issue. But, it was an issue on an extremely hot day.

When I had to put my stuff in it, I had to use another storage unit that was unlocked. I really feel like that there should be an on-call person that can come out and fix situations like that. For this to be, my first time itwasn't good. There was homeless people in the building, the parking that was asking for money I didn't feel comfortable. There should be some type of security on the property at night.
