You can improve your app. That app is complete garbage. You can't check in. You can't return it. I had to walk inside bc it didn't have any buttons to submit the photos, even though it asked for photos. If somebody returns something after business hours, they are screwed and will have to pay more bc they can't return it. That may be corporate U-Hauls plan. I know that I will be using Penske for now on or buying a trailer just because of that possible scenario.William S.

It was a lovely property but the staff there was the worst I have ever seen. While checking in they were expressing frustration with each other because they lost a vehicle. The guy who checked me in simply asked for my id never had me sign a contract or anything. Then without saying a word he got up and walked outside, I followed and he yelled back to me to grab my truck so I did and he quickly hooked up the trailer and told me I was good to go. He never checked lights or any other aspect of the trailer. There are too many other uhaul locations in the area to put up with bad service.Joseph L.

I had problems with my personal pickup so I rented a u haul pickup while mine was in the shop. The first time was great at this location, not on the second. When returning the pickup the young man that received it in took five minutes to look at the truck, came back and said it was cleaned. He said there was cigarette ashes on the middle arm rest and white sheet rock dust on the passenger seat. He said he already cleaned it, remember he was only out there for five minutes. They tried to charge me a 25 dollar cleaning fee. I do not smoke and the seat had white on it when I picked it up. The young man looked agitated when I brought this up. The man at the counter credited me back the 25, but only after I complained.THOMAS E.

After they unhooked the trailer and said good to go, they didn't check in the trailer. Several days later I got an email and text saying I needed to return the rental. This was extremely inconvenient and took time out of my day to fix the situation. We rented a 26ft Uhaul, moving blankets, a utility dolly and an appliance dolly, months ahead of time. When we got there, we were informed no dollys were available. I was impressed in every way. From the local business staff who were friendly and helpful to the online processes, my experience with renting a UHaul van and indoor climate-controlled storage unit was just what I needed and more than I had imagined. It was great to go from almost 100 degree temps into an AC access from vehicle to storage space. Luxury! I knew my electronics were safe in the controlled environment since computers can react to moisture and extreme temps. I told the lady i would be driving 150 miles and she only put 96 miles on my contract. When i dropped it off i was charged a $1 for every mile over that. i felt that she misrepresented the contract and i should not have been charged an extra $85 on top of the $175 to rent it. The day I had scheduled the hitch to be installed, the technician did not show up. It was installed but it hits my exhaust on turns. The installer gave me the wrong receiver bar for hauling a 5x8 Uhaul so when I went to pick it up, I had to buy another one that would work. So NO I would not ever refer anyone to Springfield Uhaul for hitch work until my issues are resolved.martha B.
Actually it would depend, when I spoke with Megan about the storage she stated I would be able to get what I needed however, when getting to the actual site, availability was very limited, the first unit given to me was double locked, very unorganized! What should have only taken about an hour and 15 minutes actually took about 3 hours because the techs doing the job were more focused on standing around, chit-chatting and vaping instead of what I was paying them to do. On top of that, one of the pieces used to install wasn't the correct one, and caused quite an issue after the moving trailer was picked up at a different location that night. The 6-hour drive turned into a 10-hour one, and one of the chains broke because of friction.Christy S.

The store facility is nice with good security. It was clean and presentable. However, the way protocol was ran at this store needs more work. When it comes to charges, it is a must to be as accurate as possible. I had to talk to UHAUL company reps to correct incorrect charges and refunds caused by the GM of this store. Everything got squared away, but it was a hassle. For my service on 9/1, that one went a lot smoother. It was definitely a smoother process than when I arrived initially. Although I would not use this location again, I will have to note that I was thankful to have received a climate controlled storage after my initial one was given away to someone else. I loved our experience with U-Haul on Campbell in Springfield, MO. The guys were all very helpful, courteous, and great to work with. The facility was great - convenient (about a 5 minute drive to my daughter's new apartment), clean, free of critters, nice temp, well lit, and beyond spacious. I felt very safe leaving our daughter's belongings there. The rental fee was extremely reasonable and I liked all the selections of unit sizes. Everything was fine with this location until I received an incorrect invoice. I was charged a wrong drop off location fee, a extra two day fee, and a coverage fee. All of these were incorrect. This was done by an associate there by the name of Zach. I dropped off my rental with the auto transport two days before due date at the correct location with more gas in the tank than when I received it. On top of this, I have to wait forever and a day to speak to a rep to resolve the charge for additional mileage. I was told at the time of reservation that it would only cost $0.40/additional mile. However, I have actually been charged $1.00/additional mile. Pretty exasperating experience. Thankfully, I was able to speak to Zach and he waived each fee except for the mileage fee. Now, I have to hope and pray that I speak to someone soon at UHAUL to get the mileage fee corrected. I may never use UHAUL again after this experience.Taylor H. | First Impressions

I got online to deserve a storage unit. I got a confirmation email indicating the one I wanted would be ready. The next day I went to the U-Haul dealer, and Matthew, who was quite professional throughout this whole situation, indicated that instead of the 10x10 I ordered all they had was 25x5s. Today I went back to get a refund as this would not do. I again talked to Matthew, who was again very professional, and then to his boss Zachary. Zachary said the computer was made to indicate that the unit I wanted was available even if it was not. This is a classic bait and switch, which is highly illegal, and I am considering taking action with the state's attorneys general regarding this matter. I called in advance for a bottom floor storage unit for a one bedroom house and when I got there I got a second floor unit the size of a closet that was the first time I had problems with U-Haul but they fix it it was a mess because they have no elevator to get to the second floor only stairs and I'm a 53-year-old lady. They'll be upset about this score, when in reality and based upon certain events that took place that day, a more appropriate rating would have been POOR. We are a military family. My husband walked in and asked to be serviced, but the young lady flat out said "no". Then they asked if he had a reservation and because we did, they "made an exception".
