I reserved a truck and trailer online. I arrived to pick it up and the employee at the front desk was very unprofessional. She was on the phone with a friend talking through her ear pods as well as scrolling through social media while trying to finish my contract. This took 30 min due to her mistakes and constant interruptions. She then gave me the keys and told me to find the tailer and back the truck up to it. As I am walking around to find the trailer, this gentleman yells â€œdo not take my van! That is not for customers.â€ This gentlemen was extremely rude/ impulsive. I explained that I did not know what he was talking about and explained what I was doing. He continued to be rude. I noticed his shirt said Owner and his name was Matt. Once I was settled, I went back in to get my contract. Matt comes back in the store while myself and another customer are being helped and yells â€œwhere are the propane keys.â€ He he interrupted myself and the other customer because his employees dropped their current task to help him look. Matt was very intense and high strung. Extremely unprofessional. I felt like I was not a priority during my experience. Overall it took 45 min to achieve my rentals even though I had an online reservation. I will no longer use this location and would recommend some customer service training. GraciasAustin H.

2 days prior to my rental I was informed a one way was no longer available unless I took a 26 ft instead of the 15 ft or a 15 ft round trip. I told her a 26 would be way too big to haul through Columbus for us. The manager said then I could cancel and get $50 back. I needed the U-Haul and at this point it was too late to try to find something else! We ended up having to take a round trip and was TOLD I would get unlimited miles. When we went to pick up I was told not unlimited. The girl working called the manager and they gave me 288 miles, which was just under what I needed. The original one way was 154 miles which would have worked fine. It ended up costing us 2 times in fuel for the truck and we went over in miles. So I am not thrilled at all with U-Haul. You would think I would have received a discount for the extra fuel it cost us or the $50 off for them not giving us what we booked well in advance!KENNETH K.

There were issues with the online pickup and drop off. I had scheduled pickup before the store opened and was supposed to use the app to get the truck but it didn't work. I called and they couldn't fix it over the phone so I had to wait until they opened at 7 to get the truck. Drop off also didn't work on the app and I had to call to make sure we didn't get reported late. That time it had something to do with the location piece of the app. I made sure it was set to allow, but still didn't work. The representatives I called each time were very helpful.Jeffery A.

The staff was rude. The truck was not clean and the windshield was broke. When I pointed it out to the staff they said they did not notice. Then they claimed to file a report so that It was known that I did not break the windshield. When I dropped the truck off I asked about the note. The drop off was easy but a little misleading with signage...sign read â€œstay here and some one will come to youâ€. No one ever came so I went inside. Store was very busy so it was understandable. This survey is the only thing I received after turning vehicle in. I turned in a day early so I was expecting some receipt or indication that it was returned with no issues.Trevor H.
Truck is good. Dolly left wheel is very shakey, was very loud & raggedy sounding when clerk brought it to the truck & while being moved with or without an item loaded. Clerk seemed to have an issue with putting Dolly on the truck for me. Lots of inventory though, you can't go wrong.Michele H.

My receipt and confirmation for the rental told me to go to a completely different location to pick up the truck (it told me the Monroe Street, Toledo location which is just storage). When I checked my account again, it had changed to the right location (Reynolds Road, Toledo). While the two locations are just a few miles apart, it caused a lot of confusion at what was the beginning of a 10 hour moving day. When I mentioned it to the very nice and helpful person at the correct location, she said this happens regularly (especially when someone signs up for mobile pick up, which I did). Otherwise, I had a good experience with the rental (besides the key I was given not working on the chain lock on the truck, meaning I couldn't lock it).Abby H.

Equipment is pristine. Return process simple and easy.. Staff is needs trained. However customers shouldn't feel like they are part of the training process. Express checkout was done online prior to pick up and subsequently is no different than walking in green. All information is obtained in triplicate with painstakingly redundancies, irregardless of online submissions. Check in should be streamlined considering my time was exploited twice over to obtain pertinent information.Marc E.

I had an issue with the trailer that I was provided. I reserved a 6' X 12' trailer, but the width of the opening was reduced by 16" and I could not load a piece of cargo due to the narrow entry width. I was forced to rent another trailer from the Detroit Ave location and it cost me an additional $55 for 6 hours!Eric V.

As long as you have employees like Breshawn Davis I would look for another company for my next truck rental. During my 28 day rental I used three trucks, one of which had no drivers side sun visor. I had had the truck for a week before I discovered the missing visor whereupon I returned it the next day for a swap which was Saturday. I was given the weekend rate and asked why I didn't return the truck sooner. Not only did Mr. Davis dispute my explanation but then flatly accused me of trying to scam U haul when I asked if it was illegal to rent a truck without a drivers sun visor and would I be compensated for being put in harms way through negligent truck inspection.Edward C.
DECEPTIVE INFORMATION ON YOUR WEBSITE! the trailer advertised as a 4'x7' trailer. Your fine print lists it as 39" which is almost a foot less than the big print. what a bunch of crap! i will go elsewhere for someone who does not feel the need to outright lie to their customer base.Todd H.
