I do want to make sure you are aware with a problem on my original reservation. I had originally reserved a pick up with 24/7 pick up through my mobile device from Chico's Auto Shop in Alabaster. I was never alerted that my pick up time was after they closed. Then I tried to do the 24/7 pick up that was a part of my reservation and couldn't get it to process correctly. I ended up having to rush to the Pelham location to pick up a truck. I was not happy at all that not only did my reservation have issues, I nearly didn't get a truck, and I had additional miles put on the truck from Pelham because the original pick up in Alabaster didn't work. The Alabaster location was 7 miles closer than the Pelham location. I was highly dissatisfied and never recommend the 24/7 pick up and also recommend that people call to schedule the reservation so people can be better informed if a location is closed at the chosen pick up time.

The after hours drop off - put up a sign to tell people to pull up further at the Pelham location. A 26 foot truck basically blocks the entrance.

The uhaul smelled like smoke. That wasn’t a huge deal but the employees were uninformed and incredibly unprofessional. We requested furniture dollys and they didn’t even know if they had any. They located them no problem. The biggest issue was the employee taking a break in the middle of checking us out to text people. His phone was on its highest volume and he checked at least 3 texts messages while we were trying to get our U-Haul.

I rented a tow dolly from U haul to move a vehicle. I was very pleased with the quick reservation process, but even more with the quick return process. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend U haul in Pelham and will use again when I need a truck or trailer rental

Uhaul rep who took my order for a 3 day 12x6 trailer incorrectly listed the return date as the day following pickup instead of three days later. When I called uhaul to have it corrected I received a new order summary with the correct return date. When the trailer was dropped off on the correct return date I received a extra days charges because the return facility apparently didn’t read the order correctly.

I think the per day rental fee for furniture blankets & furniture dolly is excessive and should be per rental not per day.

I received the truck with a quarter tank of gas and turned it in with a half tank. Years ago the last time I used UHAUL the tank was full and I had to turn it in full or pay the difference. I feel likewise, the customer should receive credit for the additional gas.

The rental was smooth and quick. I was under a tight time frame, and they gave me what I needed so I was able to meet the deadline. The truck was much nicer than I expected. I had a great experience.

I was asked if I wanted to pay extra for insurance and I stated no, the gentleman behind the counter then selected something on his screen. After scanning the multiple items then I purchased I checked out and confirmed the total assuming it was the $65 rental without the insurance and I selected online before we got there and also verbally told the guy behind the counter. After leaving I checked my receipt realizing mixed with all the items that I purchased they accidentally included the insurance. I called the location to request a refund for this amount and the guy on the phone was rude short and just repeated “you click the bottom confining to price in the screen” while I tried to explain this simply mistake their staff caused. If you use this location Triple check everything as they are not in business for returning customers but having slow staff and poor customer service. In addition to being extremely slow, while we were at the location the staff was discussing how they were about to have quality control inspections and their fears of what they knew would not pass and what they need to “get done before they come.” I’d recommend just going to another location I have never had such slow customer service and the guy who answers the phone may have been the most unreasonable guy I have ever talked to.
