The truck was not clean. The service inside was very slow and computer kept going down during my transaction. I used to prefer this location however, this location is just as bad as the others. I truly hate having to rent a truck from U-haul.

From reservation to pick up, to drop off. Great experience. I lost my keys when dropping off and they were quick to bring them to me when someone turned them in! I love this place! Fast and easy. Remember they serve the public and the "public" is not always easy to deal with;, watch and learn and and give them your business!

The person who I drop off to outside named john was very rude and upon my arrival not knowing anything about this place as it was my first time here john gave me attitude because I didn't park it in the right spot. Then he gets more upset at the fact that I didnt leave the key in the ignition. How do I know what to do if nothing is said. After I said something about his attitude he didnt even try to apologize or make amends I would not recommend this uhaul place to anyone as long as john is there. However the inside part was very polite

My son only drove the car, I made the reservation and then they changed everything. On top of that they have someone Elise tacked to my reservation. I'm calling my bank stopping payment on this payment until I get satisfaction. I will not play the wait game, not on my watch.

I rented the uhaul to bring my items to a nearby storage which wasn’t a block away and they wanted me to go put more gas in it when the gas meter had never moved because it wasn’t even a full block.. it’s a complete rip off.... so please do better and stop tryna get over on people! It’s not fair or right

My spouse and I had an awful experience using U-Boxes to ship our belongings from North Carolina to Louisiana. In North Carolina, the empty boxes we ordered were delivered to the wrong U Haul location. Paying $80 more than we should have on rental pickup truck miles and driving across town multiple times to load the boxes was inconvenient, but smooth compared to our pick-up experience. A few days before our pick up in Louisiana, we called the store to let the staff know when we planned to come. They told us "great - see you then." We arrived on the appointed morning as soon as the story opened... and none of our boxes were unwrapped or loaded onto trailers. We were told the store's manager had been informed we were coming, but he simply hadn't prepared them the day before. We'd have to wait about five hours for the other employee who could operate the forklift to arrive. We called off the friends who had volunteered to help us unload our things, drove home, and came back at 2pm. The forklift wouldn't start for the operator -- he told us the manager who had failed to load our boxes the day before had also forgotten to charge the forklift battery -- so we waited another hour or so for it to charge enough to start. As the first box was being loaded onto a trailer, we were told that they only had one trailer around that day. Instead of unhitching the pickup truck from our empty box and hitching up to the full one as usual, we'd have to wait for the forklift operator to swap them, another 20 to 30 minute process for each exchange. We finally got the first box on the road, unloaded it at our house in record time, and returned quickly, hoping we'd still be able to manage to unload all three boxes on our day off. The forklift operator - who was doing his best to battle a nasty cold - loaded the second full box, saw he'd forgotten to put a cover on it (it was raining) - and had to unload and repeat the process. By this point it was nearing 5pm, so we weren't able to complete our move that day. My spouse took the next day off work to finish unloading the final box. The new front desk employee had no idea who we were or what we needed, but my spouse was able to explain the situation and eventually get the last box. On top of having to take a day off, I believe we were charged for two days with the rental pickup truck instead of the one we reserved. Neither of the North Carolina stores nor the Louisiana store were willing to take responsibility for the errors that occurred. We tried to contact U Haul by email and through our booking confirmations after the two bad experiences, but we never received a response. Our experiences did not live up to U Haul's corporate guarantee.

Manager VJ was rude, and gave me a bogus charge of $150 for a scratch I didn't make on a trailer I didn't even rent. I am disputing the charges.

Please try to reduce the wait time in the lobby in the morning when people are picking up their rentals. Maybe having more people on staff would make the exchange process faster. It will help people keep their other appointments for moving help at their locations.

I wasn’t able to rent the trailer because the lights would not work. I’m upset and will be disputing the charges on my credit card; UHaul didn’t give me a full refund and I have not received an explanation of why.

The attitudes in this place were ridiculous. I was scheduled to bring the truck at 1pm and I called and let the representative know the truck would not start & I was having trouble and they hung up on me ! I was also charged 50$ for the truck being late. I will never go back to this location.

The employees argued, complained about being busy in front on customers. The employee told me leave when I wanted to stay to check my truck in when I left I received a email with charges that I didn't agree with. I'm very upset and the employee told me yeah I shouldn't have told you to leave MY BAD

Understand not everyone has rented a truck before so slow down and take time to explain when at counter. Very rushed and a bit rude. Also highly recommend if you are not using dolly/rolling furniture mover to ask them to remove it. We did not use it but hit a speed bump and it must have broken free from flimsy plastic tie. They charged us $7.00 for it even though I assured store manager we honestly did not use it/need it as we have our own dolly. What a shame. It is just poor form. If I need to rent a truck (very scary to drive since steering is shot in this truck/doesn't drive well) again I'll go out of my way to another location.

Train your staff about insurance info and explain the milage part of renting the truck. Seems to me that your staff is just working and don't know the ends and out of the u haul business aspect.

The girl at the register told me here’s your keys and receipt, your truck is outside. Went out side and there was like 5 trucks I didn’t know which one it was. I kept trying to turn on each truck. Until I went back inside and asked if she can lead me to the right one. Other than that it was a good experience.

U-Haul Gretna. Everytime I come to this location I have a HORRIBLE experience. I only use this location because it's less than 5 minutes from my home. The general manager has the worst customer service i have every seen. He's very disrespectful tip women. I've been a retail manager for more than 20 years. I wouldn't refer this location to my anyone.

I tried to pick up they keys from the lockbox. Only one problem - the key they offered was for an entirely different vehicle than the one shown in the app. Super frustrating, and it made me lose time I didn't really have.

The trailer broke down and fell apart in North Carolina, literally. One of the tires blew out. We were told by your agent that the U-boats connecting the axles were rusted out. The trailer was over 5 years old and should have been retired. We want a full and complete refund this

The girl at the counter was outstanding. The guys outside could have been a little more helpful. I use the digital option for picking up but the van i was assigned was not ready. I had to go inside to finish my transaction which took the ease and speed out of the process. That part could have been better.

Had the truck you reserved at the location you asked for for pickup. I had to drive across town to get truck but they compensated me with additional miles and a extra day. I’m satisfied.

the manager at this location is extremely rude. I reserved a truck for a specific time so that I could move some furniture. I paid workers to be available at the agreed upon time. You state on your website that I will receive $50 if the truck is not available as reserved. The mgr called and told me it wouldn't be available until 3 p.m I reserved it for 10 a.m. I told him to cancel and I wanted my $50 as promised. He said I didn't pay anything so I don't get anything back. I said its not getting back, its an offer your company makes if you don't fulfill the agreement. He said I'm not getting the $50 back and said he was going to hang up on me. Also when I made a subsequent reservation and came to the parking lot, he yelled at me rudely telling me that I can't leave my car there. Not, "I'm sorry, ma'am, you can't leave your vehicle there. We need to have this area open" but "Hey, you can't leave that car there". Terrible attitude. Acts like he hates customers.

My only problem with u haul is the fact, yearly the storage fees went up. I know it cost to maintain any business. However, in the eleven years I stored my merchandise the cost became unaffordable.
