We were charged for gas when we put gas in and up to the correct amount when we returned it. The price went from $84 to $130. I'm thinking this will be our last time with uhaul. It's not the first time they have done something like this.

The agent at this location wanted me to return the truck to another location because he didn't want to go through the hassle of unhitching the trailer. My contract clearly stated this location as the drop of point but he was adamant about me returning it to an Ivring location. After refusing and asking for the manager, I was allowed to leave the truck ar this location. The guy then became extremely rude and refused to answer any of my questions.

Joshua A.I drove up to the pick up line, eventually someone showed up. No welcome, no how was.the trip just leave the keys. He opened up the back and told me fold the blankets or a dollor apiece. Terrible. No one told me this keys, fold.them is all I experienced. I had a tread come off the auto transport and nothing was said about that. During that process my paper work said to go online and fill out a form. Really? When I am broke down on a road. Instructions were fill out a form online? I even clicked for a call as a response and got a text. I called the normal 800 # and eventually got to yhe right department. What was good about this experience was the. Company the actually replaced the tire. They were fixing another uhaul Nd saw us pull over. Followed us looked at the tire a det us know they would more than likely be the people to fix it. While talking with the agent on the phone and texting with them I gave agent thus Company's info. I was told by the agent they would be there in 90 min. The company had already retrieved a tire by then and had me up and running in 30 min. 10 stars for them. While picking up the auto transport 3 hours away from my original start point. The person who hooked up the trailer took pictures of the changes and left me and my son to drive the car on the trailer alone. When he drove the care on the trailer went up in the air because she did not lock down the trail on the ball. I had to call her over . If I hadn't been familiar with this.process there wasn't enough help. This experience felt like, do the work for uhal, save uhaul time. Not, let me help you get comfortable with the equipment that you are driving over 7 hundred miles. Do you have any questions? Can I guide you out of this tight parking lot? Just normal Courtesy would have been nice. And made the difference. No pleasentry interactions beside the guys a d the counter in Nashville. Then it stopped after he gave me the paperwork. One last thing. I noticed everyone sat down as I was standing up. Again that isn't very welcoming. It would be nice to talk to someone at uhaul about this experience 512-745-9548

Pauline S.This location is disorganized and if you rent from here prepare to be charged incorrectly due to the employee's negligence. Rented a truck with a dolly, employee could not find the keys for an hour, while the manager just ordered him around. The manager is a large man who clearly has problems getting out of his seat. When I realized the dolly, I ordered for rent was missing I called in to let them know, they acknowledged that they forgot but then proceeded to bill me for it and then for it being missing. Upon return of the vehicle, no one revised the gas level and then proceeded to charge me for adding gas, which was also incorrect. Overall, bad service.
Karina R.I made a reservation for a 26' truck several days in advance at another location. When I got there, the truck was badly damaged by a previous customer. The oil light and brake lights were on, and I didn't feel the truck was mechanically sound enough to drive off the lot. So I was sent to this location because it was the only location with a truck available. I was given a 20' truck instead. But it took an additional 3.5 hours to get it, delaying my move. I wasn't able to fit all my stuff in the truck, so I'm having to rent another truck to move the rest of the stuff on a different day. Which is causing me more expenses than I planned for, and delaying the resolution of my move by several weeks. It is terribly inconvenient. U-Haul needs to figure out how to not overbook trucks, and to have mechanics available in case there are problems with trucks they rent out.

Susobhon B.1st time waited for 1 hr in line and ended up leaving. Staff used slow internet as excuse. the personnel do not care and have any empathy none whatsoever for the paying customers. Long drawn endless conversation with customers with no respect for what is waiting in line. This staff can use a customer care and service referesher course to remind them who is paying their salaries.
Moustafa G.Picking up the rental was a quick process however when we received the truck it was dirty. There wasn't any debris in the truck however it was as if the truck had never been wiped down. Ultimately we wiped the interior of the truck and the wipes came back black. The trucks also need an air freshener. The truck smelt as of the person prior was transporting animals or a dog.

The truck was very old, gas tank is on the passengers side (very inconvenient), lots of X stickers marking the many defects, the engine sounded differently than previous rentals. Driver seat needs to be refilled. No dashboard messages nor engine issues just excessive cosmetic wear all around.

Danny N.This was unfortunately a frustrating experience on both ends of my move. I called to confirm when my container would be available for packing and was told that I would be able to access it "all day." Given the address and posted hours for the location, I naturally assumed I would be able to pack until close of business (7pm) and planned accordingly. When I arrived, I was redirected to another location across town, and that location was completely unstaffed when I showed up--not a single worker present to receive me. It took literally an hour to make contact with someone, at which point I was informed that this location closes at 4pm, completely derailing my plans. It was only due to flexibility in my father's schedule that he was able to finish packing the next day, which he had to do completely alone as my flight was the following morning. A very unprofessional experience. To add insult to injury, the UBox was delivered with the cover placed improperly at my new location, requiring them to return it to the warehouse and reposition it, which cost another 60-90 minutes. Thankfully, everything arrived in safe condition, but I was very displeased with the service I received.
Austin M.The internet program to arrange for the trailer was a disaster. The trailer was not at the Beltline location that I had contracted for. At the last minute I found out I had to go to the Harry Hines location, Seven miles away and in a poor location. Confirmations of the arrangement by email and by text never happened. I would rate U-Haul a 1 for the calamitous system you have, Service at the two locations was satisfactory.
Donald M.The equipment was faulty and I spent hours trying to contact someone to remedy this. I was sent by the uhaul customer service to roadside assistance who did not answer and left me on hold for a total of 2 hours. It was not until I spoke with my 3rd representative from uhaul customer service that I got a call back from roadside assistance. I did not feel comfortable taking the truck on the highway because it did not shift properly and shook and made a lot of noise when I went between 55 and 60. I am very disappointed in my service. After given a faulty vehicle, I was only given 35 dollars off of my 175 dollar rental. 10 of those dollars came from the equipment that I reserved to rent not being available, so I had to purchase a cart. When speaking with my third customer service representative, she offered to give me 50 dollars off (which also never happened.) At this point, I am just relieved that this experience is over and I did not get into an accident and get injured due to faulty equipment. All in all, the experience was not ok. I did encounter kind souls at the uhaul in Grand Prairie. This was not the case at the location at the Harry Hines. When I had questions during checkout, I felt very dismissed and taken advantage of. I was told that I would get 10 dollars off for them not having the equipment reserved and when I was given my contract, the discount was no where to be found. The representative said that she would make a note to correct it upon checkout. I will be moving one more time from my storage unit to my final destination in June and I will be moving my classroom later that month as well. Not only will I avoid Uhaul like the plague, but I will also recommend that any of my friends and family who are moving avoid it as well for safety reasons. If you are trying to improve for your next customer, please do thorough safety checks to keep them safe. Don't be greedy, if a vehicle is not maintained properly, take the profit loss and fix it the right way. Don't just count on people to be relieved that their move is over and keep quiet about their experience in your vehicles.
Kindra A.I added gas to 1/4, which should give me more than 30 dollars credit, however, in the receipt they marked it less than 1/4 to avoid the credit. That's not fare, if they didn't want to give out the credit, why listed in the contract?
Jinhai Y.Have timely check-in of equipment. When I bring back the equipment, the time should be noted by the attendant at that time, not an hour later. I think you charged me for another days rental because the time of check-in was listed as an hour later than when I actually returned the equipment.
DONALD B.The truck was so nasty and sticky, the inside of the windshield looked like it was wiped with a dirty rag because of the milky residue all over it. I ended up going back to my car to get Lysol and wipes and it didn't really help. It seems like they never had that thing cleaned and it's not even 10k miles on it. You'd think there'd be some level of sanitizing and cleaning after each use, especially with COVID. And if customers are bringing it back this nasty, they should be charged (but you should also get it cleaned). The one I picked up in NY was way cleaner. I also was not told beforehand that I'd have to pick the Ubox up at another location. Ross told me they'd give me a credit for that but they didn't. It was 7 additional miles round trip to that location. Knowing that people have to travel over there, it should automatically be a 7 mile credit on those reservations applied during initial checkout. I'll be calling for my refund. The guy who worked at the warehouse was super friendly though, and the other guy at Harry Hines was cool.
Sydney R.I will never set foot at this location. Service is not friendly at all. Some guy asking what I wanted and hollered instead of being helpful. It takes less energy to be pleasant than being a bad apple. How do people like this stay employed in a customer service atmosphere.

Lindsay W.When I got to Dallas I had two scheduled appointments to pack my Ubox canceled! O requested at least two free months for the trouble and I was greeted with a boss (Ross) who just sat on his hands and explained he'd look into this. But I know he was simply saying it because I was there and in front of him, so I took his card and I am prepared to reach out to corporate. I was hung up on multiple times over the phone. (Explained that to him) Had to go to two separate warehouses to unpack and load a ubox then to go back 6-7 miles to drop off the tow (which they refused to take off earlier at the Dallas spot at the time) the gentleman running the ubox storage space (hummingbird way location which is separate) was really nice. But Ross from the place that needed to take off my tow showed little to no accountability or solution driven skills that you'd expect from someone in his position. With gas rates being what they are I surely had no intention on meandering from one location to another due to lack of communication from a logistics company, but there I was, using and putting more into a car that should have been returned days prior but kept running into issues due to cancelled appointments.

It was really rude of the guy to leave me at the counter so long I had to go look for him and remind him he was helping me. This was as I watched him help 2 other people. I did not get the helped I needed. . I now have to return to make a simple return of an unopened item

TERESA D.The only complaint I have is that upon returning the truck, the attendant who was outside checking in the rentals, was extremely rude. He didn't explain the process, he expected me to automatically know what I needed to do. I had a question, he was clearly bothered by it. He was unapproachable. I had to ask if there was anything else I needed to do, since he didn't inform me. I didn't know rather I needed to go inside or not. I just stood there waiting for instructions, he didn't even acknowledge me. I had to speak up.... when he answered, his response was barely audible. He was again bothered by my question. This was only my second question. My experience was so uncomfortable, that I would think twice about returning for a rental. I need a storage facility but if I have to deal with that kind of rudeness, I'd rather drive the extra mile and pay extra, then deal with that rude man again. It's such a shame because the store is very clean and organized, and the girl who attended me, when renting the truck that morning was very informative and polite. One bad apple ruins the rest.

When I arrived I went in asked the older white male for assistance with the auto transport to take my car off (that's what I was told to do from Chantilly location), he advised to get in my car and someone will be over to guide me down. Here is where I had the issue I advised him that I couldn't get in because the things were blocking the doors, he said they come off just pop them off or something to that sort. I said i don't know how and I was not there when U-Haul put it together. He then rolled his eyes and shook his head as if I worked for U-Haul and I knew what he was talking about. At that point Jesse just came and told me I can help you ma'am (thank goodness). He then guides me off I advised him I'm waiting on movers where can I move truck he told me at the storage unit. Well they have not giving me one yet so no access. He then told me to pull over to the right. I waited in the truck until he can move the auto transport for maybe 5 to 10 minutes because I could not back up with it there. I got out and asked when he was moving it he told me it would be a while and just leave my truck there. I go inside speak with Barbara (very nice) she calls the young lady to show me the units. The one I selected had a big helium tank in there. She advised by the time I get back it would be moved. Well i came back the tank was right outside my unit actually in the way. However my movers moved everything in. We closed the door had a little struggle but we got it closed. Went to open it back up and it would only lift half way. Just realizing after unloading that the unit door was broken. I went and spoke with Barbara Advised her it was broken and when shut the top right side is kinda open. She then said she would get one of the men to look at it. I had to go because It was almost 3 o'clock at that moment I had been there since 12p with all the waiting and going back and forth. She then advises me to come in tomorrow and my stuff would be fine because they have cameras everywhere. This was a very stressful experience. We had just driven 20 plus hours came in expecting everything to go seamlessly and it did not.

What a mess!! When I arrived well before closing , was to we were Not able to unload , didnt have a correct size unit booked there, finally got a couple of units secured for unloading in the morning , after the booking mixup - but when we arrived ! They had no air conditioning!! In texas!! Though that had always been my request - Air conditioned unit - One unit had holes in the wall - Apparently all they had available to fix the problems I will never, ever ever use your facilities again - It was a complete nightmare experience and my stuff is now storage in the heat and cold - Your customer service people do not! Know what they are doing and this centralized phone system is truly a nightmare !
