Your logistics absolutely suck. Horribly. Customer service is not the store and the store is not the call center. There is absolutely no continuity. Everyone points you to everyone else. I literally got so frustrated after three phone calls and no hep that I googled the location where it said my containers were and drove there myself to get answers. Ridiculous. However the GM, Darnell Braziel, went out if his way to give me great service when everything was finally ready and offered a discount for my trouble. Top service and will definitely recommend. I reserved a 15 foot truck a week ahead of time at this location. When I arrived, the first truck had a check engine light. Because I was driving cross country I requested a different vehicle. The second truck had a leaking exhaust manifold, not only was this seriously dangerous to anyone driving the truck but it was unbearably loud. When I returned to the office they had rented the first truck with the check engine light to a family. The employees had a good attitude and transferred my reservation to a different u haul location and was treated extremely well by the employees at the second location. I picked up a clean low mileage truck at the second location. Please note I paid $2000 for the first rental which was not refunded to me for 4 business days this was a large inconvenience for me while Moving as I had to pay out an additional $2000 at the second locationColtrane C.

I typically don't respond to customer service surveys but my experience on 9/2/2021 was absolutely horrific. I plan of submitting a formal complaint to both the General Manager and District Manager before the end of the week. Long story short, Navarria Lewis (an associate at this location) displayed the utmost unprofessionalism as I attempted to pick up the equipment I reserved. Upon entering the facility, I was met with an unpleasant hostility (no greeting, no eye contact, no acknowledgment until after I approached the counter) and immediate rebuttal after I requested the equipment that I order (10' truck). Upon stating that I was there to pick up my equipment, Navarria replied, "It's not here." She did not explain and stated I would have to call customer service. I challenged her statement by informing her that I specifically reserved the equipment at this location because the online reservation site stated "Reservation Guaranteed." Navarria continued to refute my claim without making any eye contact (because she was on her cellphone) and provided no help, as her only statement was to contact customer service (for which she provide no contact information). This struck me as odd because there were literally four 10' trucks visible upon entering the site. However, my displeasure strictly derived from the fact that Navarria present piss poor customer service at a time where there were no other customers but for me. Darnell Braziel (General Manager) walked into the office area within 10 minutes of this back-and-forth exchange I had with Navarria, looked up my reservation online, left the office area, and personally pulled my reserved 10' truck up to the entryway. He presented no challenges and provided a higher level of customer service without even speaking to me. Navarria's lack of customer service was damning and reflects poorly on the Uhaul. I've reserved equipment from Uhaul several times before and no one has ever given me more hassle than this associate. While I don't know the complexities that exist within this role, Navarria needs to understand that she is there to perform a job and the responsibilities that come with performing that job. If I'm truly being honest, I could've easily gone to another company that day because I had neither the time nor patience to entertain childish behavior. Darnell Braziel's speedy service is what prevented me from doing so. Uhaul leadership needs to evaluate Navarria's placement without the company and potentially need to examine her historic performance and make appropriate decisions that will positively impact the business (because having her in a customer-facing role isn't doing that). I hope this review is received by personnel that can make expedited changes to this matter so that the next customer(s) don't experience what I had to go through for a simple truck rental.Zachary M.

Horrible experience with booking. Had a guaranteed reservation at a location 13 miles away. I was called 15 minutes prior to pick up that the truck was not available. Had to go to this location to pick it up and spent over two hours on the phone trying to get the $50 credit that U-Haul advertises you were entitled to if they move your reservation. The truck smelled of cigarettes even though they are supposed to be smoke-free and had lots of exterior damage. Tried to use the 24/7 share service but it is not worth anything because I still had to go inside and get the key and when I came back to drop it off the office staff was rude that I had turned it in via the app. Don't offer a service if it's inconvenient to use and doesn't work flawlessly.Andrew K.

Originally I was doing a equipment pickup in Scottdale Ga after the truck was not available in Brookhaven Ga but the truck in Scottdale was broke down so I was not able to get a truck on Saturday without driving a long distance Customer Service got me a truck on Sunday and a $50 credit which was a great save. The location was great. The personnel at the location were helpful and cheerful. However, I am disappointed in the overall reservation process. This is the second time I have reserved a 15' truck (this time with a tow dolly) in the last 3 months. Both times, I was permitted to reserve a truck close to my location, both times, my pick-up ended up being moved over 20 miles away. Looking at the reviews, this is a common occurrence. This time, I was initially moved to a location that was about 8 miles away. I had indicated a 530 pickup, based upon the proximity of the original pick-up location. The location where I was moved closed at 5 pm. When I tried to call, it was already after 5 pm; there was nobody there to take my call. I called the regional uHaul number and spoke to someone who was unable to help me and suggested I call the local scheduling number. I called, but after navigating their IVR menu, I found out there was nobody there to help and that I would need to call back tomorrow. I called and ultimately got things straightened out at the far-away location. As I was setting this up, I told my wife that it didn't matter where I initially reserved the truck because I would be relocated. It turns out that I was correct. To me, the logistical and systemic problems are apparent. I believe they know where their inventory is (although this may be an issue due to corporate vs. franchise locations), but they don't permit the online booking system to have the same insight. I haven't tried, but since I have been redirected to the same location (uHaul in Chamblee on Northeast Expressway), I may call them directly to book my truck. There was one other issue. I went through the process of capturing my payment information upfront, through the app. But, when I arrived at the pick-up location, I had to perform the certification of the payment again. I asked what it was I had done online. The answer was "assured the reservation." That may be true, but that is definitely NOT what the online indicated. It said something similar to "streamline your payment and pick-up process by entering your payment information here..." Also, entry of my credit card information, according to the website, was optional. I wonder if that means my truck would not have been available if I choose not to enter that information? Just a thought. None of these occurrences were devastating. I got my truck. Towed my car. Spent over $220 in gasoline to drive from Atlanta to Northern Virginia. All that went fine. I do feel that I was misled at least twice: once when I selected a pick-up location early in the process and the second time when I entered my credit card information. Uhaul's price was better than Budget's. I didn't look at Penske. I will probably rent from uHaul again. I don't know if Budget or Penske have the same inventory issues or misleading websites. Budget has a website, I don't know about Penske. Caveat emptorJeffrey B.
Rear tire indication said 'low". Service attendant said it was just a malfunction in the sensor. We had to fill the tire 3 times over a two day period because it kept getting flat. Very dangerous to drive this way.Joanne M.
The location was fine and the staff easy to work with. However, the UHaul online registration process and centralized customer service team was incredibly inefficient. I called the local number the day of my appointment to double check on the rental and determine if I could pick it up a couple of hours early. After ONE HOUR being on hold, TRANSFERRED SIX TIMES, told my rental was not available at all after I had a receipt showing where I'd reserved it online, etc. we finally decided just to drive to the location closest to our house where I had placed the original order and see if we could get a truck. Let me repeat, the CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM I SPOKE WITH SAID NO TRUCKS WERE AVAILABLE AT THAT LOCATION OR ANY OTHER THAT DAY. Fortunately, when we arrived at the location, the exact truck we reserved was sitting in the parking lot and one of the gentlemen working in the location said we could take it. We're in a period of incredible stress trying to move our elderly parents and we really didn't have the 2 hours I spent on Saturday with UHaul trying to confirm the availability of a truck - that I had RESERVED AND YOU HAD SENT REMINDERS ABOUT VIA EMAIL. I know times are tough and there's a lot of demand for your vehicles, but there must be a better way to deliver customer service in your business.PHILIP P.

You can only charge them for what they actually used. I was charged for two dolly's when I only borrowed one. You can input the return of the vehicle as soon as it is returned, not at your earliest convenience (this led to me being charged more money). My original pickup location was 3947 Peachtree Rd. I prepaid the day before based on an email from Uhaul requesting I do so and saying it would make my pickup fast and easy. When I showed up, I still had to go inside to ask about the truck. Turns out, there wasn't one. Why was I not notified so that I wouldn't driver over there? You had my email address and my phone number? The person at the counter said they had been trying to call the person who was supposed to return the truck all day, but no one was answering. So, why didn't Uhaul find another truck ahead of time and email or text me with an update vs. me having to go to the store for no reason? It took 30-45 minutes for another truck to be located at the above address while we just stood around waiting. We drove over to the other location, but it still took more than 30 minutes to get the truck, and we were the only ones in the store. Why does the paperwork take so long, when I have paid in advance? The person who went to fetch the truck didn't come back for more than 20 minutes, so someone had to go look for him b/c the truck was just behind the building. By the time we were finally on our way, we had wasted 2 hours. So, our scheduled 2 p.m. pickup turned into 4 p.m.Mike K.

I have a major problem with your policy of renting a storage unit. Your people asked me for 2 addresses and 3 phone numbers. I am a single man. I have 1 cell phone. I had to give a phone number of a friend and sister. There is no reason for you to involve ANYONE, for any communication purpose, involving my storage unit. You contact me and me only and don't ask for ANYTHING else. I don't want anyone involved in my life, issues, or storage unit. I have a mailing address and a physical address. You don't need both. Nobody gets both. Why do you need it? Had I known that you were going to ask for all this info, I would have taken my business elsewhere.
