This was my first time renting a uhaul and it wasn't the best experience. Didn't have what I initially wanted which was a van then the truck I got wasn't available when I arrived had to get an even bigger truck. But I still got it got home the dolly I added wasn't in the truck. After loading it up it was just to big so I returned it. And during the one day I had it when I called I waited a total of about 4 hours to talk to someone. They literally answered the phone asked me on hold after about 40 some odd minutes I called back on my other line and got the option to receive a call back. I received the callback before anyone came back to the phone CD come to find out from that rep the location I was on hold with was closed. I was like how are they closed and I'm still on hold but trust rep assisted me but I still have to call back to the store to make sure they didn't over charge me and I'm not looking forward to it.Shakita B.
My U-Box was delayed by 11 days and no one informed me of the delay until I called after it was not delivered to my home within the assigned appointment window. Imagine my surprise and anger when I called to ask why my box was not at my home only to be told it was not even in . I had spoken to U-Haul representatives on numerous occasions prior to regarding the delivery date and no one informed me of the delay. The box should have arrived in PA on July 29 and it did not get here until August 9. Regardless of the refund, U-Haul has lost a customer.Suzanne B.

They only had 1 service person because the other guy that was in there helping left right in the middle of helping a customer and never came back. Is received a receipt yesterday. My order was on hold and I was awaiting to hear from the GM. I never heard from anybody. Truck was infested with German roaches. I have videos I showed videos to employees at uhaul they agreed that was totally unacceptable. I am a pest control inspector. So when I say this is one of the worst bugs to have around your things I know what I'm talking about. Just one of these roaches getting into your stuff can lead to thousands in just 1 month.Joshua G.

I had to push, pray and baby a 26' truck WITHOUT A CATALYTIC converter to this site. The gentleman on duty was horrible. He said he didn't have another truck to give me and pushed the keys back to me telling me to take it up the road to another site. Again, this truck did not have a catalytic converter. I told him I wasn't driving it anywhere. After a talk with his general manager, he agreed to provide me a working truck that was just turned in. When trying to do the check-out, the mileage was WAY off. The app said go back inside to fix it. He told me to take a picture of it and work it out when I get to my destination and then he told me I could have driven it the way it was--without a catalytic converter. I was floored. He was extremely rude and disrespectful. I paid for a 26' truck when I reserved, months ago, a 15' truck. I reserved a dolly that I didn't receive, and was treated horribly when I told him I wasn't going to drive that broken truck another mile. Uhaul has lost a long time customer. I will NEVER rent from Uhaul ever again.Diana M.

I really wish I never used your service. Every time i use Uhaul I have been inconvenienced in a way that is nearly unbelievable. Last time it was the third party movers that called to say they were on the way and ultimately never showed up. This time? I reserve a 10x30 storage unit for my family's belongings and since y'all use two websites or whatever the worker said, they had no record of this. It was Sunday. All other storage units nearby were closed because it was Sunday. I had to scramble to find a place for my stuff. Uhaul was so kind to offer me a unit 45 minutes away at a cost of free for a month. Pretty good experience. Wish it had been a little cheaper since I only used it for maybe an hour and a half and only went 11 or so miles. However I did rent a dolly and opted for insurance. I'd think you guys would have insurance though so I don't understand why we pay extra for coverage. Silverado was clean and healthy. I would really like to use it or the van to move some things to Miami so I can get better MPG, so a bit annoyed that they are unavailable for one way. This Uhaul location never fails to leave us anything but satisfied. We're very happy with their services! Our move out (of our storage unit) and loading onto a truck (Rented day of) was easy and without any hiccups. There was a small issue with the storage unit, but upon calling the location and discussing, the employee, manager, and GM were all extremely helpful and got the issue resolved, no problem. Y'all need to inspect the roof of y'all truckâ€¦I had a bad experience, it rained really hard that day and once I went to empty my truck with my belongings I noticed my boxes were so wet there was water pouring out my boxes . I had to take my things out the box and leave them till the next day and once I got back to my things the next day some of my belongs had a sour smell and I through them out. This was a horrible experience especially when I trusted uhaul to have good trucks.Michelle A.

The equipment that I reserved was not available upon arrival, causing major delays in the moving process. The van that we were provide it was wrecked and the trunk would not open. The staff did not know how to assist and did not offer any additional discounts, compensation, or accommodations. I understand with COVID there have been changes but you're not offering the same service and yet you continue to charge the same prices. Not doing the walk through to confirm condition and asking the renter to do the return or charge a $20 convenience fee is lowering the customer service. Requiring someone to provide two contacts and expect them to answer the phone...difficult. my secondary specifically stated that he wouldn't have answered the phone today unknown #. And we further discussed other restrictions in place to protect the company without consideration of inconvenience to the customer. Customer spaces were unusable due to how uhaul pickup trucks were parked off set with their designated spaces. And while returning the keys, additional inconvenience was had in utilizing the online process and in finding a barcode that was only noticed after the keys were returned and the process was completed. However despite all the process challenges, your staff was enjoyable and helpful.naomi W.

Even though I was stressed and frustrated with all the moving and thunderstorms each day that delayed us, the experience at U-Haul was pleasant each time I visited the office on Normandy. The staff were all very helpful, friendly and very professional. My only negative comment is the short staff. U-Haul is a much needed company right now but you do not have enough staff to accommodate the number of people visiting to purchase your services. I know its all about the money the owners keep the cash and the customers must put up with slow phone responses and not enough customer Reps on staff. The upstairs units are totally insecure and nothing was done at all to secure them after all the break-ins started happening. I was offered no alternative, safer unit. The single worst experience I've ever had at any business. We booked a usual to help a new employee move from Tampa. Arranged reservation through call center and they said we were all set with payment using our corporate credit card. Employee arrive to pick up uhaul and now they needed actual credit card. I went down there and now they wouldn't take it because corporate credit card was not under my name - the story goes on and on. I would recommend it ONLY if the employees listed below were still there, if the restroom was well-maintained and if there were more carts. Terrible customer service from the majority of previous employees, especially the managers for the past 15+ years. These employees have been consistently EXCELLENT: Kaitlyn Lucontro, Mike Henson, Jarod Floyd, Beth and I can't remember his name, tall, clean shaven, short hair, Caucasian man, I think in his 40s. The number of carts has been decreasing in the past several years from 7 or 8 down to 3. The office manager messed up my UBox order on this past Saturday 4-17-21. It caused me and my packers time before payment could be received. I have a problem with this facilities rules of no receipt of payments of monies paid in advance and the contract is cancelled 2 weeks before the end of the month. It's like being robbed having to pay for services not rendered. It upset me greatly. I am going to another Uhaul in another state and they would not even give me my money to credit them. Mr. Kirkman, Duke and Swavi were all BEAUTIFUL, These guys went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure that I had everything I needed to make this a successful move in experience for my storage unit, although the store was extremely busy I would certainly recommend anyone I know to go to that Normandy location!
