Add more "tech" stuff for sale, like smartphone holders that clip to an air vent. More and more of us are using apps (e.g. Google Maps, or Waze) to find locations, or to just avoid bad traffic, so it'd be safer to have the map displayed closer to the driver's view of the road than, say, setting the phone in the cup holder (like I did).

Originally at my pick up I had pre-organized a few days prior to arrival. When I showed up to the center they were unaware of the reservation for the trailers for my uboxes. I was frustrated, however the problem was addressed immediately and my boxes added to trailers within 45min-1hr, a much shorter wait than I had expected. I was able to meet my movers on time and I appreciate their help.

I was charged for two months for storage on a unit which I never requested, never used, never took ownership of, never signed a contract for, never had access to at any point. It took THREE MONTHS and hours of phone calls to get refunded for the first two months, and I finally had to cancel my card to avoid a third charge.

Box was placed on the trailer backwards, made it almost impossible to unload! Required much too much time to unload with increased cost! I spent over an hour on the phone with your rep with no satisfaction! Still waiting for call from manager as promised! I can not recommend this service after such an experience!

when I picked up truck there was a lighter and cigarette butt in cab of truck, I am non-smoker and did not appreciate that. Also counter people seemed to be a little confused on my rental, maybe a little more training would help. Don't park trucks in front of store entrance, couldn't figure out where to go or where to park.

Not an easy place to find first off, had to go down some narrow ally as they didn’t want me to park or come in front of the car wash business they where running. No-one knew what to do or even where I should park the trailer. I was supposed to get a $75 deposit back. However; they refused to proved this to me saying “aints no ones gives me 75 dollars, I aints gives anyone’s 75 outs my pocket. I ended up having to drop the trailer off at another location because to ad insult to injury the establishment didn’t even no how to process the paperwork. The only reason I gave them one star was because there is no option for NO STARS.

The employee that pulled the truck up for me didn’t say one word to me or even acknowledge my presence. I was very confused. Worst of all, the employee who received my truck when I was returning it was on her phone talking to someone the entire time. She as well just ignored me and took her sweet time, pausing her work to have conversation over the phone. Rude. Terrible customer service.

Tim walked me through how to open and close back latch which was super helpful since I had not dealt with that kind of truck before and answered all my questions patiently. And I think "Debbie" who processed my reservation was very friendly and helpful as well. Overall a wonderful experience. If the situation arises again, I will definitely be back. Great job!!!!

I reserved a pick up truck- but when I arrived they didn’t have any! What’s the point of a reservation? Luckily the van they gave me worked out- but it was much more difficult for us. U-Haul should have a stiffer penalty for late returns.

My pick up location got changed twice with in a few hours and moved quite a bit further than what I wanted in the first time.

Vehicle was not properly cleaned. I found the last customer's rental agreement in the vehicle. The tow dolly I ordered was unavailable. I had to take a trailer which was terrifying to drive. The fuel economy gauge stayed in the red no matter how slow I drove, so I'm assuming the vehicle had not had proper maintenance. Also, it took the employees over an hour to hook the trailer up and secure the vehicle.

Called u haul and booked a tow dolly before traveling 400 miles to jacksonville fl upon arrival i was informed they could not rent me a tow dolly and i would have to take a transport i did not want a transport because of the weight and the gas cost to pull it home but also could not wast my day riding all over jacksonville looking for one also if i wanted a transport i would have booked one.

You need to fix your systems. I did an early on-line check in. I refused the Safetow package of $8. However, the copy of the contract I received, had the Safetow included. You NEED TO FIX this!!!!!!!!!

I signed up for a one way drop off. I was supposedly to drop off at 400 W Ashley st Jacksonville,fl 32202 but was at capacity and send me to the Normandy location with a signed document stating not to charge me the additional milages. When we got to the Normandy location it was after hours and couldn't inform the people inside. Left the signed contract with the information about the additional millages and keys inside the drop off box. Work up to see I was being charged anyways

Today I returned truck and was told I had to test the all the including lights, back up & indicators. Why is it expected of your clients to do routine maintenance checks. I asked to speak to the manager. The Assistance manager came out, did not address me personally and barked aggressively at the assistant check the vehicle for damage and proceeded to search the vehicle like there was some criminal intent on my part. We rent vehicles for corporate use several times a month at this location and have never returned the vehicles with any damage, always cleaned and with a least the same amount of gas. The whole attitude was wrong, rude and condescending.

The gentleman I dealt with was rude. I asked to rend a 7' trailer and he proceeded to hook up a larger, more expensive, trailer up to my vehicle. We went inside and when I asked him how much the larger trailer would cost, he responded smugly that he would not know the amount until the reservation was complete. I pushed the issue and another worker gave me the price list. When I noticed the price difference, I again told him that I would prefer the 7' trailer. He was clearly not happy that he had to swap out the trailers. For the remainder of my visit he was very short with me. I've rented many Uhaul trailers for Military moves across the country and have never dealt with someone this unwilling to listen to a customer. Won't be back to this location if I can help it. Plenty of other choices near me.

Never saw the Jacksonville store! Bottom line - all employees in St. Augustine and Michigan were cheerful and helpful. NOT the the U-BOX system. After paying in advance all went bad. My entire file was erased. Shawn in St. Augustine straightened it all out. The Jacksonville unit said due to a broken hydraulic line on the fork lift (30 minute fix) the box will not be on time nor the next day - when I had a crew lined up to load it. I talked the girl in Jacksonville into delivering anyway & just leave the trailer. Many other problems like my receipt had no start or end locations, dates, moneys, etc. Very messed up system. My suggestion: U-Haul management should "Beta" their systems before implementing them!

It was the most horrible experience I've ever had due to lack of information given to me. I almost caused an accident and when I called to complain I feel like they didn't even care about that at all. It seemed like the guy I spoke to just wanted to close the claim/investigation I had filed days prior. No kind of remorse whatsoever about what I had to go through due to that lack of information that I had not been given. I will NEVER use uhaul again. I have used uhaul several times in the past.

The beginning of the move was great. However at whatever point the pod was placed into the little trailer for drop off placed it on incorrectly, so the front right corner was sitting IN the trailer, not on. We (hired movers and I) couldn’t get the door to open! When I called back to uhaul to let them know we couldn’t get the door open they had said “oh yeah one of the feet had broken off and that they couldn’t fix it until the pod was empty” and that “ they saw my predicament but they also had a predicament that their forklift was broken” they made it seem like my problem and offered no solution. Thank goodness for my movers being problem solvers and figured it out quickly and without complaint.

I had to go to 3 locations, after making reservations online. First place did not have a trailer. Second place, we hooked up the trailer, then found 2 flat tires. Third place did not have the trailer number reserved. Had to redo the paperwork to a different trailer that they could find. Took 3 hours out of my day to get a trailer.

There were 3 t o4 lines of people. How about having a marker indicating to start initial line. The as staff are available, you go to them. Then you do not have to guess which line to get in, just like at banks.

Folks were nice, temp was great, and very secure. You may want to sweep up around the storage loading/unloading area, clean the carts a bit, and fix the cart (3) with a missing wheel.
