All the staff at the Noland Rd location are personable, professional and very helpful. I have rented equipment and vehicles there many times and I've never had a negative experience. R. J. found an item left in the truck and promptly called me to let me know. I would not hesitate to tell friends and family about renting from this excellent U-Haul location. Great representatives. Customers should be able to use the dolly in the back of the truck at no extra cost but if there is damage to the dolly while in use or it is missing then I can see charging fees for dolly use and the same should go for the moving blankets aswell

The employee I dealt with made derogatory remarks to and about his co worker, as well as numerous excuses as to why he was unable to use the computer effectively. Not a very professional atmosphere, and unpleasant to be in. He also complained that I didn't have a local phone number (2019!), and called my wife to see if I was telling the truth. If I didn't need to rent in a rush, I would have walked out.

The truck I was assigned had a very bad wheel alignment problem. It's usually a pretty smooth ride when I rent from you guy's, but that truck had me nervous driving because I was constantly having to correct the wheel. Scary when your in where there is lots of traffic or narrow ways. Usually pretty good, not this time. Sorry.

The packer YN? put a valued gift from by brother at the bottom of the "Dish pack box" and it got a leg broken off. Also, when the movers unpacked the wardrobe boxes, they over stuffed my hall clost, causing the crossbar to warp and bend into an unusable state. But, there is no way to send pictures here. So, I will go to another way.

The vehicle I rented was in terrific condition. I have not used uhaul for many years and the difference in equipment between last time and this time was night and day. The staff seemed insufficient for the amount of customers there.

We thought we would be able to access before returning the truck but when we tried to use the link we received and error message because it had expired.

No improvement needed, I can not say enough about how great the individual was that assisted me with the trailer and helped me ensure everything was functioning properly. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and maintained that attitude the entire time, even going above and beyond when we discovered an issue with my vehicle. That is customer service you just don’t find anymore.

The LOCATION was fine. They’ve been there for years. The truck was NOT fine. I’ve driven several rental trucks. This one delivered the WORST gas mileage and offered the least quality of features, ride, comfort. This is a 2017 vehicle - NO cruise, NO clock, HORRIBLE driving position, and feet position was even worse than driving position. Combined with no cruise made my 700 mile trip the most difficult trip in 40 years of driving 3 million miles. Finally, my truck was barely half full, yet this truck got a whopping 9.5 MPG over 700 miles — costing me greatly on fuel. The transmission did not shift properly or consistently, making travel borderline UNSAFE! I’m shocked this vehicle was allowed to be rented. If I’m paying for a rental, Uhaul has a responsibility to deliver a quality product. YOU FAILED!!! Uhaul promotes themselves as easy for consumers and driver-friendly products. THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING!!! Add to it only average pricing. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I can never recommend.

Only thing that might be helpful to customers is remember to bring a pad lock for the trailer door Then you can lock it up if you have to stay in a hotel?? Otherwise the 5x8 enclosed trailer kept things dry on our rainy drive home. We will definitely use UHaul again if needed.

The WORST experience I have had. Rude employees. The elderly Caucasian man running the lot was an absolute terror. Would not let us ask questions upon returning the truck, kept talking over us, told him we wanted to pay some cash then the rest on the card to avoid overdrafting my account, ran it anyway saying he would see if it went through and if it didn’t there would be problems. Then walked away when I started to ask him what the payment was and what my card was going to be charged. I will not be returning and will be telling others to avoid this place as well.

He was really busy and there were other customers that were mad about a trailor hitch or something. It isn't the same white haired man anymore but the man that was working the counter was really doing a great job. I had great results from inside and outside the building and with the truck and on the phone.

Very difficult to call U-Haul by phone, always busy. When I finally did get through, I ordered a hitch and set up an appointment to have it installed. When I went to the appointment I discovered that the person who took the order had used the wrong date (1-1-1901) and the hitch was never ordered. A new hitch was ordered and a new appointment set up. The car was dropped off around 9:00am for the install. When I went back at 7:00pm the car was still not done even though 2 people I talked to said it would be. The install was finally completed about 7:15pm. Store seemed to be very busy and they said they were short staffed so that may have contributed to the problem. Overall, not a great experience.

Well.when a customer has an appt to pick up and being told u may not get it because the previous customer was several hours late and"may arrive" just isn't ok. Also they were calling me an hour before I was to return the vehicle to get a eta but when I arrived at 1155 they just parked the truck .. like seriously I still had an hour and I spent that hour making sure I returned a clean and gassed up vehicle. Like I didn't need a reminder or told "hey a customer is waiting" well they can wait cuz I have till noon.??also uhaul shouldn't do upgrades to the computer system on Fridays and Saturdays. Do that shyt during the week when your not so busy. Just moronic business. Like uhaul may just use a different location in the future I know not every store is like that one. They need some new management in there,clean up that"good ol boy club". Ijs.

I placed a request online a few days prior, got in and picked up the truck with ease on the day of pickup. Frank who helped me was very polite and informative. When I tried to look at the truck condition photos that were texted to me (in place of an inspection walkthrough), the link expired before I could use it. When I dropped it off there were no hassles though, great experience and pricing!

Pretty simple don't ask your customers to do the employees job. We arrived a bit early to pick a van that was promised to us by not only the uhaul on-line service but also the day before by the uhaul center. We received a lesser quality van instead. Once it showed up we basically were handed the key and told to download an app and go. No further customer service. The van was dirty. The inside seats were covered with pet hair and the back of the van smelled like compost. We were told it was the only van they had and take it or leave it. Upon returning the vehicle you are forced once again to log onto their site to complete the process which takes about 20 minutes. I highly recommend you try to rent from a dealer and NOT from a uhaul center especially this one.

I have six children in college. So we use your company alot. Which I will not ever do again. The truck pulled so bad to the left that we could not take anyways. There was muajuana seeds in the door handle of the truck. Worst part of it all. The manager is horrible and had a horrible attitude. It was almost like he was trying to argue with me. He had some very smart comments. Then the two young boys that was getting everything together. Comment made by another worker was do you two do everything together. I was in shock. Like they wew singling them outbeacuse they were black. Which is not the first time ive heard them make comments to the boys. Which are always helpful wheni come. Them two boys are more organized and professional then the two of them. There were no parking spaces. So i had to pull my car somewhere else. Which was not in lane of getting the trucks in or out. So another worked which none of them where name tags. So I can't report the other man. Telling me I had to move. Didnt know where to park. My daughter was gettingin my car. So she could take it home. Apparently i was suppose to park on Noland Rd. Mark Kocinski was the one that checked me in. I felt like i walked into a scene of Grump Old Men. Worst experience ive ever had in this place of business. I will NEVER go back.

All of the employees at this location were friendly and efficient. Everything was explained well and they worked quickly to get us in and out in an incredibly timely manner. The pricing on everything is very transparent so, as long as you do well at estimating your mileage, you have a pretty good idea of how much it’s going to cost you. Although, the employees did a wonderful job at explaining everything that would effect your final rental rate.

I dealt with a person named Brian. He was rude, unconcerned, and didn't aim to make sure I had everything I needed. I made arrangements to pick up my truck at your Independence location. The day of, someone thought it was wise to change my pickup location to downtown, not knowing what all I had planned for that day. I was told a text message had gone out to alert me, but I never got the text. I even showed this to the employees of Uhaul Same day changes when we have established plans, is not acceptable. There should have been someone in place to go get the vehicle from the downtown location, if that's where the available vehicle was, at last minute. But to ask me to go to another location was ridiculous. I'm sure I will not be returning to the independence uhaul

Stood in line for 30 mins for a 9 am reservation, why have time slots of your still gonna have to wait in line. They when I got to the counter he did some clicking around and said to go out and get the dolly hooked up. That only took five minutes. The. I had to go back inside and wait another 30 minutes in line. This was all after doing the “express” check in online which was by now super pointless and another waste of time. Thankfully drop off when we were done only took a few minutes.

the only issue i had was: indicator on paperwork said gas was full. not knowing that truck gauge i assumed that being between full and 1/9th mark meant full. When i returned the truck and filled it up the indicator went past the full mark. SO it wasn't full when i got it. I told "Frank" and he said ok but didn't compensate me or even offer to for my troubles. I know it is only like a few bucks but I would have appreciated some sincere acknowledgement

If you don't have a piece of equipment that the customer needs and reserved DO NOT charge them more for a different thing. I was told it would be changed to the same rental price but I still paid 3 extra dollars for something that was useless. Please find a way to alert customers if you do not have the equipment they request. It was very annoying to find it missing from my truck and then to be told that they do not have one at the store. Then being offered another one and being up charged. Which is partly my fault. I should have just said no when I realized it would not be useful. But being told they would fix the price I decided something was better than nothing. Customer service was great even though I was annoyed and not pleased.

1. I told them in advance I didnt want the charges applied to my credit card but after checking the truck in they had already charged my credit card and didnt even tell me how much it was or give me a receipt until I asked! It was to late to pay with my debit card!!! 2. Clean the windshields...at the least. 3. I reserved a cargo van and it was not brought back in time so I had to get a much larger uhaul truck, although they did charge me the price of the van.

I reserved a trailer online at the location closest to where I live. The Regional office called me and stated that there was not a trailer available at that location - they only had one trailer and it had been stolen so and I would have to drive across town to another location. As I drove past the location near my home, I could clearly see two trailers exactly like the one I rented sitting in their lot. Not sure why my reservation was changed when clearly there was an available trailer much closer to me.

I have been a user of U-Haul services and products for more than 40 years. Without question this was the best rental experience I've ever had. From the minute I walked into the door, it was a parent that this location had engaged and attentive management, the man working the counter went out of his way to be helpful and accommodating. As a 62 year old service disabled veteran, I appreciated their willingness to help with the auto dolly. My Hope Is the district manager for this location will read this review and do his or her best to help other locations do business the same way.

I did the on line express checkout. When I got to the counter, computer issues and caused me a longer delay then I needed. Workers said that the computer issues were common. Not just that day.

This guy named Gary was very rude and I still he sexually assaulted me. He does not need to help women. I rent a trailer about once a month and I will not go back to this location again if that man is still there. Matter a fact I am now looking at buying my own trailer and will make sure none of my friends go to that location and if they do not to deal with him. The rest of the guys there are nice but he is a jerk and like I said earlier should not have to help women.

The actual location was perfectly fine and the young man that helped us was great. My issue was when they told me they couldn't directly rent me the truck, I had to wait for someone from their scheduling office to call me. When she did, she told me this location didn't have any trucks for rent available and wanted me to drive 30 minutes away just to pick it up, and that i would have to pay for the gas. Take more time with customer - show them what they are getting before they have to drive away. I ordered moving blankets. The clerk gave me form to sign before seeing the truck. I said I wanted to confirm everything was good before I signed anything because I’ve had bad luck. He said “that’s what the link sent text is for” - yet there was no explanation on what the link is or does or how to use it. He confirmed that I ordered blankets- and I bought other items. So I go outside and someone points to truck and says - there it is. As an individual who isn’t completely comfortable on the process - it’s frustrating not having any guidance. So I just drive away. Later to find out- the blankets were not in the truck. It seems like every time I’m in this situation - there is no customer service - they just try to push you out the door as soon as possible with out having anything explained. It’s a stressful situation and I’d appreciate not feeling bullied into a bad situation. So then I have to take the time to call on not having the blankets, and getting transferred form person to person.

Truck had vibration above 65 mph. Probably wheel balance issue with rear wheels. I did not notice this until my return trip as I was towing boat at less than 55 mph on the outbound trip.

Wanted to drop the car dolly off early and the guy there said they were going to charge to help me drop the car off the dolly. Note i didn't ask for help i asked about leaving the dolly there and checking it in early and parking the truck at the uhaul over night as i didn't get the new place til the next day. Additionally he told me that he couldn't check part of the equipment in early as it was all under lease to me.

This was not the location I contracted to pick my truck up at, and was over 16 miles further away. When I went to pick the truck up at the original location, I was told they did not have my truck, and that I would have to call the U-Haul scheduler to find a truck. Despite making the reservation on Monday for a Wednesday rental, I was never contacted to tell me that the truck would not be at the contracted location, and that I would have to go elsewhere to get one. While checking out at the Noland Road location, the following message was displayed on the paypad screen, "Did you know U-Haul guarantees your equipment will be available where and when it was promised to you". Not true, and it cost me approximately $40 more in mileage and gas for the rental.

I have to admit that I was worried about the Customer Service after reading some of the reviews, coupled with my inability to reach someone on the phone for over 4 hours! Left message with NO call back, & when I mentioned it at the place of business, I was told that they were busy. Really?!? Customers pay the wages & expenses of a business, & if we aren't important to either get a call back within a reasonable amount of time, or even SOMEONE answering a call, that's just NOT good business in my opinion! However, I will say that the service I received was good & the truck worked. I was surprised that the truck I rented didn't have a ramp, & it did not occur to me to look before I took the truck that was offered. I will check next time because it was quite a chore for my friend & me to lift heavy things into & out of the back of the truck!

The price increase over the 6 years was unacceptable. I'm a disabled Veteran and my mother was 90 years old when we rented your storage the price was around $119 a month and now it is $159.
