The customer service here sucks. Noone is friendly and act bothered that they are helping you.

JIMMIE DThe staff at the Michigan st store in Indianapolis were very helpful in fixing issues that came up so the 3 stars is not a reflection of them. The box didn't arrive on time and there was poor communication (from automated texts and emails) about its transit and expected delivery time. Packing the box was frustrating. We learned after the reservation and plans were made for UHaul that dispatched didn't think they could get the truck to the apartment to drop the box off to pack it. So we ended up having to rent U Haul truck and pack then then unload it at the UHaul store into the box. All in all what should have been a 4-5 hour job took more than 10 hours. Also, when we arrived at the store, we were told the reservation had been changed to a different location but we weren't notified. The staff at Michigan got it changed over for us, which we really appreciated. They also left the box inside the warehouse for us so when we were unpacking and repacking we at least weren't doing it outside in the freezing cold. We've done many cross country moves (not with UHaul) that have gone smoother and were more predictable but this was also substantially cheaper than other options so that was the reason we went with UHaul.

ALLEN WWhen trying to check out the equipment in the morning, the man in the store was on an intense personal phone call about bowling the entire time. I was told to hold one moment please several times so that he could continue speaking with his friend. When attaching the trailer to my vehicle, I had to help drag it out of the snow and clean the snow off of it. When dropping off the trailer I was asked to put the trailer back where I found it in the bank of snow.
Adam SStaff were friendly and helpful. Location wa easy to find and parking lot was cleaned. We had a mechanical issue with the truck that caused it to make an extremely loud sound. Our fees were waived to compensate us for the inconvenience. ¡Gracias!

DENISE WStaff could be polite to customers. Greeting customer with what do you want is not ok. Then when customer states they have a reservation being told they don't have a reservation under your name. Not verbally responding to being shown reservation on phone. Only looking up to tell you mileage, fuel level upon return and that it would be pulled up front and to wait outside. treating customer with basic respect would be a major improvement.

MARC FI have used your location many times and have been happy. This time was different. A tail light was out on the trailer and it rode really bad. Worse than before. That aside, the issue happened afterward. I got a call from a random number and answered. It sounded like a scammer, I hung up. He called back and without an introduction called me and ignorant fuck and accused me of not returning the trailer. Finally he said, he was from U-Haul and continued accusing me. I have a receipt saying I returned the trailer, the manager Gigi checked me out. The receipt again, says so. He kept swearing at me, all without any reasoning. I hung up and have not heard back. Maybe an off day but wow that was unprofessional. Additionally, I returned the trailer over 12 hours early so I cannot understand why he called saying it was not returned in the first place. When it wasn't suppose to be back anyway. I guess doing them a favor confused them.
JAMES CI informed the young lady that the plastic and other items were in the rear when we picked up truck. No, I didn't check rear before I left. We only picked up pre-packaged boxes of toys. She insisted we left those items in rear. I am not a liar, and didn't appreciate her attitude. I'm not a hard person to get along with!

VIVIAN CHad to drive to a different location to pick up car dolly. Into Indianapolis, which I was not wanting to do. Then when returned to Hot Springs no one there to clear my return even though it was during business hours. Dolly was never cleared until multiple phone calls from Uhaul and myself. I drove back to the place returned and call Uhaul from there. A gentleman was there but did not do Uhaul but called the person that does it. Finally after 18 days after return it was cleared. I was really retired of the ongoing accusations that I never returned it.
ROGER BThe trucks are just very very old and not very well maintained. With that, they should make people aware of known issues with the trucks to keep people from being in a bind. The transmission was pretty much shot on the truck to where it took us almost 30mins to get it to shift out of "P". Had to have my mechanic drive the truck to the gas station, keep it running with his foot on the brake while I pumped the gas because once he got it in gear, we had to keep it in order to get it back to the return location! And now if you don't purchase the insurance and something like that happens, the customer is responsible financially if someone has to be called out for repairs. That is so not fair! Especially if they are aware of the issue already. When I returned the truck, I let them know what happened and the guy said, "Oh yeah, we've been having that problem with a lot of our trucks!" as if that justifies why I was stuck for about 30mins with the mind that I was going to be responsible for fixing the transmission on that already VERY old truck with a pre-existing issue!! I've always used u-haul but considering going a different route next time I need a moving truck after this last situation. I'm rather disappointed in u-haul.
KRISTAL HI know that UHaul doesn't rent the nicest and newest trucks for in-town moves. But it is neither a good look nor a great experience to get a truck with a steering wheel so overused that the tacky foam is exposed and even a good four inches of substructure metal is exposed. That aside, it was a fair experience.
MICHAEL FThe "general manager" was the rudest person I had ever met. We walked in to check in for our truck and he was rude the entire time. I will not be renting from this location again. Today, when we dropped off the truck, experience was great.

TARA WThe van I rented was calculating mileage too fast. It was a new van, so I reported it. Perhaps a calibration issue? The store clerk was extremely rude to both me and the UHAUL Customer Service Rep, for the return process. She charged my card incorrectly, was yelling at me, called me a liar, verbally abused the UHAUL Rep, and was overall horribly RUDE! I love UHAUL, but am tramatized by that experience.
RENE WGigi at the front desk was especially helpful in processing my return near closing time. The whole process from start to finish was very effocient. I highly recommend you use the app if you want to get in and out quickly.

Jane BManager was extremely rude and condescending. Understaffed and overwhelmed. Equipment originally requested was not available, so we were downgraded to a smaller truck requiring us to make additional trips incurring additional mileage expenses. They also charged us for safe tow and safe move after we declined. When we reached out about the situation, the manager was rude and said we were lying. We move every 6 months and have always used UHaul so we were very disappointed in this experience.
Jacob PI have rented from this location 4 to 5 times. Every time it is a 5 out of 5. I have watched the desk staff when they are ultra busy be calm and friendly under pressure. The last time I was there to drop off a trailer everyone was covered up. The owner was on his cell phone and patiently helped me while doing business on his phone. This last time was the day after thanksgiving and only two people where there because they knew it would be slow. It was the owner and one other person. I had a reservation that I had messed up. The owner took care of it even though my error was kind of dumb. I hope you don't think this is smoke and commend him for representing U-Haul so well! Gracias

ANNA TThis U-Haul facility did very well. I had a reservation with another location (9834 N Michigan Rd, Indpls, IN) and the container for the vehicle key could not be opened. The lock was off and plate would not move. Going to 6014 Michigan Rd was the solution.

They did not include the furniture pads i reserved which have not been refunded. And they are trying to charge me another 96$ for the furniture pads that i never had. Don't use these people.
Spencer MI'm a car dealer and have a moving company and I'm using Uhaul a lot, but form what I've seen through this experience if this location was the only place to rent uhaul equipments from I'll never come to this location again with the staff they have there, the lady who ran my reservation that I did on my app doesn't wanna talk with you as a customer to answer or tell you what you need to do she just wave with her head or give you barely one word as an answer. but she will waste a good time talking with her coworkers in spanish and make you wait till she finish and wast your time. And this is not appropriate specially i don't speak spanish and don't know what they're saying. And then got questions again for the reservation details and had to choose it again from the beginning, I don't know why I did the reservation on my app then, and when we came to payment and i saw it will charge extra if you pay with cash or debit i guess on the panel so i asked her seeking for some explanation to confirm how much I'll get charge she said if you read what it says you'll understand. At this moment i really had enough from her lack of customer service job, i used to be a store manager and i was dealing with a lot of employees like her, so i said i don't like the way you're talking to me that's very rude and then i found another person who works there involved and the tone wasn't a pleasure at all but with a very respectful way from my side . So i ended it and said I'm in rush and need to get my equipment and leave. she didn't use and refused to use the card I have on file. Despite all the other locations that I used to go to do that and make your business easier. And finally she gave me my Printed paper that shows equipment # and all the info you need. But guess what there was no trailer with the same number that she gave me so I had to go back again and waste more time and finally got the right paper and checked my equipment lights and connections and headed to pickup the car but unfortunately I didn't make it so i returned the trailer back around 4 am after I got back from Illinois state, so it was around 7 or 8 hours my two way trip i didn't load any cars or opened any fenders, but was surprised by a fender damage charge to my card. So it's obviously a set up just because I spoke and said to both workers that I didn't like the way you're treat me as a customer. I'll never recommend this location to anyone they will set you up if you said something on how badly they treat their customers in this location. Uhaul does a great job and help me to get a lot of business done but by this way looks like will head to another provider to make business with if no investigation will be done here you can check the return pictures that i submitted it when i returned your equipment. Just add to this that the trailer they gave me when she changed my Printed paper next time wasn't really look good. It has an oil brake leak when I was checking the connections and when I was braking I felt like the trailer brake wasn't working as it should so I didn't know what they planned to do with me but now i knew. this isn't acceptable at all. If you don't like doing your job right just don't do it please people had enough already.

RENETTA MI've rented from different Uhaul locations a lot of times over the years, and this is hands down the best experience I've had with the company. Great customer service, bilingual employees, and the location was neat and tidy.
DARREN CMake sure the truck isn't draining the battery to strand the next customer at a gas station, like my fiancee and I were for 45 mins to an hour. Thankfully the roadside service tech was great and got us going again.

Richard SWent to drop off vehicle- Couldn't find a drop box after hours locked the key inside the truck. 125 dollar key cut fee? Like you didn't have the original , inside the business to come unlock the door.

We moved all our items from home into the U-Haul, filled the gas back up and arrived back at this location to now move items into a storage unit. Representative 1 obtained all my information, process payment, gave me my storage # & showed me how to access storage area. The movers open the storage unit and it was full of boxes from the previous storage owner. Representative 2 was notified and he stated "This is the customer's fault." & "We don't have anymore units available." I walked back to the front and Representative 3 (Hispanic Female) goes on to tell me "We don't have anymore units here" "I am going to refund your money" "You have to go to another U-Haul location on layfette & see if they have a storage" "we check and clean storage at night" "we cannot touch the customers items in the storage." Representative 3 didn't care about us having to drive more miles to another location then back to this location to return uhual or the possibility that the next location might not have had any storage availability or that I had 2 movers waiting to unload our items for over an 1. Representative 4 gave me the mangers information and stated to call him immediately regarding this issue. After 1.5hrs the manager was able to provide me a storage unit and refund for first month (still waiting on refund) The manager was very professional, kind and compassionate about the situation.

There was a problem with my access card and staff members Stony and Jesus were always available to open the storage room and Stony put in great effort to investigate the problem by reaching out to his boss and then the supervisor above his boss too! So a huge shout out to the staff for being helpful. Monet was the agent who helped us secure the storage room and she was friendly and quick to get the room assigned so we could start moving in. The hallways are very well lit and there was even a cart we could use to move things into our storage unit. However the light in the storage room we rented was burnt out.
