Set up my unit, was told they would change the lock in about a week to a circle lock and they would put the key in the managers office. Came back to get my things out a month or so later and they had lost the key. Some of the staff was very nice, but the assistant manager was not. There is nothing you can improve on because the service was excellent. I was in and out within 10 minutes to pick up the trailer and then barely put my Jeep in park to drop it off. The employees were friendly and helpful, even the guys working outside in a wind chill of -10.Scott T.

snow and ice covered the van at pick up. We couldn't use the side door or passenger side door because the ice covered it and it did not melt because of the low temp that day. I rented two trucks this week and both times the app wouldn't allow me to upload the pic of the gas gage and mileage. I was then overcharged for it. The second time I called uhaul and a nice service member had me send the pic to his email and he uploaded it. The first truck was a van I put the same mileage on both the van and 10 ft truck. Yet the truck cost $81 and the van was $130! Also there was a white make that worked at this location that was not only unhelpful he was rude!JANET L.

my card declined under suspicion of raud wiht how I was moving. my card delined adn I received a update two hours. Before my flight landed. I had been on the phone for 45 minutes the day prior coordinating a delivery and had to pull a city permit " so it could be delivered. The perosn onthe phone managed to pull a cuty permit and charge my card but not the delivery fee? until two hurs before deleivery? I had also verbalized I will be in the air the day of the delivery so let us hash out any details prior. I was ensured there was nothign else was required and all set. That was not the case adn I had to then put in a rental after 1.5 hrs of haggling onthe phone that htis was outrageous they couldnt deliver or give me the suffienct amoutno time to fix the card problem. whre i my 75dollar fee tfor the permit? or teh reimbrusemnt of the uber becasue they poorly planned when ot apply the card or ignore my request to hash out any details prio to the deleivery date becasue I would be on air plane heading ot the destination? absoultely disapoitned and I want someone to reach out. i desrve a percentage refund becasue it casued me to drive a van uber to and from the uhaul location in a snowstorm whereas if they simpyl charged the carxd whenntey "pulled the aprking permit" this would not have happened.harrison H.

So they people that work there were not helpful like 6 employees were just laying around literally all over the store. On their phones. They all stared as I walked in no one wanted to help me. One young woman reluctantly got up and gave me the card needed. At that point she sat back down and finished her phone conversation. Once I found the unit I had no idea there were stairs to use I then walked back over. She said it's stairs in there asked one of the other associates to assist and they completely ignored me. My trailer was not in safety order. Loose tire pressure as soon I loaded the weights and got stock at the location until the following day. As well the left back signal blinkers was not working. Cost me time, money and risk own safety. If can't do better why stays open?EMANUEL D.

The unit was great. Very secure and dry, no water, moisture or rodent damage to anything in there despite it being in there for 1.5 years untouched. Had some very valuable art in there and zero issues. Access is easy, lots of carts and space. When the box was taken to area in Boston, man from that location called me for credit card to pay. Told him I already paid. He insisted I didn't. Then in Florida, box arrived at different location. Tried calling them and did not answer phone, had to go there. Told me box would be put on trailer that day for mover help to pick up at 7Am. Got call from that location as moving help there and was told no trailers available and not sure when and the pickup time was 12. Not true. Told representative what I was told the day before. The storage unit facility on Mass. Ave in Boston was great. So clean and well lighted. Private enclosed garage for unloading. Lots of carry carts for moving stuff to and from your vehicle to your unit. Staff worked fast to get us checked in and helped us drop off our rental trailer. The employees for checkout and return were great - friendly and helpful. I rented a trailer, and they had moved it to the front of the parking area for easy hookup BEFORE my arrival time. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, RETURNED MY RENTAL AFTER HOURS AND UNABLE TO COMPLETE THE RETURN AS THE UHAUL PLATFORM SYSTEM COULD NOT LOCATE MY LOCATION FOR THE RETURN. TRIED SEVERAL TIMES ON MULTIPLE DEVICES AND RECORDED MY ATTEMPTS, THE INSIDE/OUTSIDE OF THE VAN AND THE RETURN OF THE KEY TO PROTECT MYSELF. AFTER TRYING FOR 35MINS AND WAITING FOR A REP TO ANSWER FOR 45 MINS I LEFT AS I HAVE A FAMILY TO CARE FOR AS THE SYSTEM WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR IOS AND ENSURED THAT UHAUL WAS ALLOWED TO ACCESS MY LOCATION WHICH IS RECORED. A CLIENT SHOULD NOT BE PENALIZED FOR A SYSTEM DEFECT. I HAVE RETURN A VEHICLE BEFORE AT THE SAME LOCATION WITH NO ISSUES AND NEVER COMPLAINED ABOUT UHAUL BEFORE. BEING A LOYAL CUSTOMER, HOW LONG SHOULD ONE WAIT ON HOLD BEFORE EVEN BEING ASKED A CALL BACK NUMBER TO COMPLETE A RETURN AFTER HOURS WHILE THE LOCATION IS CLOSED AND ITS COLD IN MY STATE.ANTHONY B.
The people in the showroom are immature and are undertrained. I always felt uncomfortable being on property mainly by uhual employees following me. I would attempt to ask for help and it was either "pass-the-buck" or the staff didnt speak english. I had an issues with getting access during hours of operation and was threatened with staff calling the cops if i didnt leave them alone. Yet i needed help. Overall very unprofessional and misinformed to later find out, after designated a locker, my storage required climbing a ladder. This was a bad experience from the moment we arrived at U-Haul. First, neither the furniture pads or furniture dolly we reserved were available. The employee checking us in said â€œwe haven't had furniture pads in over a monthâ€ which means they weren't even available when I booked them. The person who called to confirm the day before my booking didn't mention it, so I was stuck on moving day without two things I needed to move. I ended up improvising with towels and throw blankets but a lot of my furniture still ended up damaged in the truck. The truck itself smelled like cigarettes and was very dirty in the back. Since we had no furniture pads, a lot of this dirt got on our stuff. Super disappointing all around and I'll do whatever I can to avoid U-Haul in the future.ALEXANDER P.

The only thing I suggest is that there is a little bit more order when u need to park the truck to load your storage…. It was a bit confusing, there was cars parked where the trucks need to park and there was a gate the was not able to be used … a little hectic. I won't say she wasn't helpful. What I will say is this. When someone is renting or trying to figure out if there at the right place or nit. I just feel and I say I feel it should be more compassionate with people. I may have been at the wrong place I tried to explain to her why would I drop the truck of some place differently if I need storage. The unit I reserved did not exist. This has shown me that U-Haul is a crooked and disorganized company. Associates Diana and Shania were very helpful; they saved the day. Jim made the entire process more difficult, for both me as a customer and for the other employees. Jim did not not show me where my unit was, and it took me 20 minutes to find it, and it was still locked when I found it. When I finally had someone (Shania) come unlock it, it was too small. Diana and Shania went above and beyond, got me a unit that worked, showed me how to use the elevator, gave me a month free, and just in general were sympathetic and down to earth. I rented a storage unit on 6/15/21 and reserved a 15' footer truck for 6/16/21 today 6/16/21 the service was horrible. the first truck #DC1211K) sputtered and jerked also the check light was on!!!!!! I turned right around brought it back complained to MR. Jimmy Diamond, told me that was normal for that year and model. I expressed how uncomfortable I was to drive a truck with a check engine light on and ask for another truck. I was told to wait in line to exchange the truck. Hi, The girl at the desk was untrained and very stressed out. We have a room already. We wanted an empty room right across from ours. It has a green tag and a green lock. The girl insisted that a green lock meant the room was not available. I have been coming here for years. Red tag + second lock = renter behind on rent, no tag + 1 lock = normal room already rented, green tag + green lock = room available to rent. She refused to rent to us. She kept asking what size room we wanted. We said the exact room number. She kept saying it was not available. I said look me up on the computer. She insisted that a second room was a separate account. (What business would do that?) She gave me a form to fill out. It was in Spanish. She was very agitated and would not make eye contact. I said a green lock means it is available. She said a green lock means there is a problem with the room. The girl at the other station said she could help us. She looked me up in the computer and we completed the rental for the exact room I wanted with no problem. The first girl was standing on her chair yelling at people to get back in line. The poor girl needs training in the details of U-Haul rentals, and in customer relations. Had I net persisted, you would have lost a rental. Later, I was sent a PDF copy of my contract. Interactions were as expected but none of the employees were wearing masks. Even out on the sales floor and in the warehouse. Anyone that had a mask had it pulled down to chin. The Manager Ed was pleasant, accommodating and a true believer in customer satisfaction! I felt valued s a consumer as a result of the way in which I was treated by Ed the manager. That is the example I believe he models for his employees. I received excellent service at the register, and after needing some questions and by the manager the other team member cleaned the van I was renting with a smile.
