They called me after I left to come back and move my car which was frustrating. The truck was also missing a loading ramp which was not discovered until we were at the location to pick up furniture. Nothing was really explained regarding how to return the vehicle so thank goodness for the parking lot staff. It felt like they were doing me a favor rather than being a customer. Office staff is not very friendly. Outside staff are generally quite helpful and friendly. Truck was somewhat clean but the console has spills that should be cleaner for a fairly new truck.KURT K.

I would not recommend haul to anyone until you get your company policy in line. I reserved two weeks ahead of time at a location 5 minutes from my house. The day of pickup, I had to drive 40 minutes away to pick up the truck because in all of Charleston, the was only one location that had a 10 ft truck. That is ridiculous, either honor your reservations or get more equipment. I paid for a hand truck, there was none, which made the move extremely difficult. It's no way to run a business.MICHAEL K.

I arrived on time for rental. I was told they did not have a trailer that was in working condition. The only one available did not have a jack (completely broken off). A good trailer was in the lot when I came in and they rented it to another group that just walked in. SO, they had a trailer and let someone else rent it. I had a wrecked vehicle towed to the UHaul and insurance would not move it to another Uhaul. The staff told me I would just have to drive around and find one. We finally decided to go ahead and take the trailer (We did not have much a choice with a disabled vehicle. Then they told me I would have to drive the trailer back across Greenville SC after I unloaded the vehicle (which was going to be stored at a UHaul rental business). I understand the two guys were only doing what they were told. The Manager needs to be fired and the UHaul needs to be retrained.taunya M.

The staff at this location has no customer service what so ever. No communication skills the cashier seem like she had a bad day or either she does not like her job. The worker outside when I came back to bring the vehicle was rude. Very disrespectful I will never come back there and will tell everyone of my experience. The employees are great however their computer systems and behind the counter tools are broken down and do not work making it hard for them to their job and causing multiple delays for the customers. You need to upgrade and give the employees what they need to provide great service.Adam R.

Girl at desk was heavily tattooed, eating sunflower seeds and either spitting the shells into a cup or picking the shells out of her mouth with her fingers and throwing them into the cup. She then handled my credit card with her saliva covered fingers. She made an error on her POS terminal and said â€œshit, dammitâ€. She did not welcome me or thank me. She seemed very unhappy with her job at U-Haul. Her nose ring was disgusting. When I get to the truck I just rented, she had texted me the wrong truck number, so I could not inspect the vehicle properly before driving it away. A helpful male employee on the outside lot helped me to get the correct number texted to me so I then was able to inspect the truck. Truck had over 100,000 miles. Drivers sun visor was dangling and I had to completely remove it and lay it on the floor. Girl inside not good, guy outside good, truck okay, but not real good.James H.

This is the only place that I know of that charges twice as much than anyone else to store items in a flood plain, Of course there is no grace period for paying the rent, even if you can't get to the storage area due to a flood. Just out of curiosity, if the storage area were flooded and stayed flooded for 6 months straight, would you still charge rent for those six months during which our items were under water? There need to be trash cans more centrally located within the Uhaul storage area itself, the fact that we had to walk all the way around the entire building to get to the dumpster was extremely time consuming and ill-efficient. Clearly others feel the same way because there was constantly trash strewn through out the corridors. There is always a super long line in the customer service area and oftentimes associates who are unwilling and uninterested in helping whatsoever. On several occasions we had issues with Carol, who was not only demeaning, and apathetic but has the customer service ability of a dirty diaper. Sadly enough, she is the Manager or Owner!! As the highest on payroll she deserves a severe demotion and someone else needs to run that place. The only thing this place has going for it is its location and proximity to downtown. That and theres a young man who works there named TJ who is the diamond in the rough at that place. He works mostly outside, in the heat, helping to return and clean out the Uhauls. Our interaction with him was the only positive experience we can glean from patronizing with this Uhaul. He deserves a raise and a promotion for maintaining a positive attitude, being helpful, dilligent, willing to go above and beyond for the customer, all amidst clearly poor conditions and management that he has to work with. I hope his spirit doesnt get broken by the terrible attitudes of his colleagues and I hope UHAUL as a company regonizes his hard work and enacts stricter guidelines for the rude "managment" and "Customer service" agent you all have employed there.Max S. | Overall Experience
