I had to come to this location because the place I originally booked with told me that I could not take the truck because it was local only. I had to scramble around to get to this location before closing. I had a confirmed reservation at the other location.JOEL J.
I rented an 8x8x8 on the second floor for $84.95/mo. When I arrived I was informed there was no elevator, only stairs and I had heavy items. Nothing in the rental process indicated a lack of elevator service at the facility. The staff found a storage unit on the first floor that was 12 x 8 x 8 and I was quoted a price of $104.95/month. I agreed and when accessing the location, the ceiling was barely 6' high, not the 8' advertised. Ok, and when I checked out, I noticed a sign advertising that size locker at a rate of 124.95 and when she rang it up, it came up as 129.95/mo. When I asked the question about the difference in what she quoted, the sign, and the computer she yelled at me for asking the question and threatened to cancel my reservation. I explained that, as a customer, there were three conflicting amounts and all I did was ask a question. She then said, "that's what the computer is printing out, I can't do anything about that. The store was well laid out and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only concern I had was the truck Oil light came on during my rental. I called roadside assistance but was on hold for about 20 minutes, so I opted for the online reporting option. I checked and added a quart of oil myself instead of waiting for roadside assistance, but wanted to report it. When I turned in the vehicle, they didn't seem to have a way to credit my rental with the amount spent on the oil.John P.

About a month ago I was moving and rented a truck and a dolly only to be told the dolly I requested was not available. Last weekend we arrived at this location to pickup a truck we had reserved a week prior only to find out the truck we reserved was not available. We had a group of people waiting to help with the move so it was a major setback to have to delay her move several hours while we located another truck. This weekend I rented a trailer to haul some items. When I picked up the trailer my hitch was to high to tow the trailer. I spoke with one of the associates and requested to buy a drop bar and ball which were sold separately. The associate informed me they did not have time to put the ball on the drop bar. I have given this location so much business over the years and they can't spare 5 minutes to put a ball on for me that I am purchasing from them so I can pull their trailer that I am giving them money for? Sorry but I think I have given this location many chances but I don't think I will return. PS I have never filled out a bad survey in my life but it's constant issues every time I go in.DANIEL T.

They uhaul location in Chattanooga charged my credit 4 unauthorized charges for $109.20 over the past 2 days. I have had difficulty getting someone to help. I originally paid my uhaul for 8/30-9/15 and pre paid and should not have had additional charges to my credit card. This is not ethical and poor business. I left messages for the manager to return my call but they haven't.Scott R.

HELL NO!!! I've had several installs over the years with your company on a variety of vehicles and NEVER have I had one where the power goes out of the trunk!!! If this is how its supposed to be YOUR COMPANY should have set the expectation!!!!! Then the guy told me if I wanted it DONE RIGHT I had to go to Honda!!! AND we paid for the pin and ball mount they forgot to give us until my wife sent me the order and I saw it on there and had to get the manager to give it me. My wife got this for me as a gift and thought she got the top of the line options (though she is not a car person) but Im being asked to come back next week and pay more to have it done to where the power is at the receiver. I want to know what that's going to look like before I give your company another fucking dime!!! Honestly I like I could have done a better job with the install and considering it's the time that's more valuable to me than the money but when Im NOT a professional installer but I see there is what looks like a plug inside the jack box that looks like its for running this power outside to the receiver and that is all I need to do to get the power ran I got to ask why did your company not do this in the first place!!!??? The few dollars extra would have been more than fine to have it fucking done right especially the FIRST TIME!!!!Candace M.

A young worker made a 10-second inspection of my trailer and said I was good to go. Didn't try the lights, and just glanced at the hitch. I made a reservation 1 month a head of time. The scheduler/manager called me the night before the pick up and said I had to drive 2 1/2 hours to pick up the Uhaul and trailer. Then 2 1/2 hours back to where I needed to load. The manager was unwilling to make any compensation for extra gas or time.I made the reservation for one way from NH to Hixson TN. I turned it in at Hixson TN 3 days ahead of the required time. However Uhaul charged me an additional $312.04 saying just the trailer was dropped off in Florida!!? I will never rent from Uhaul again. If anyone I know is moving I will tell them to rent from Ryder. Additionally the average hold time to speak with a Uhaul customer service agent is at least 30 minutes. Your organization is horrible and you need to clean up your business.Shawn J.

I had used my phone number to make the reservation, but put my husband as the primary driver. We didn't know that he would not be able to do an after hours return with his phone, even though he had the contract #. Wasted over an hour of our time trying to process the return, and making additional trips to the uhaul location, so that I could bring my phone to that location.Steven P.

The truck we rented was clean and the gentleman that helped us was super nice. However, the truck had over 170,000 miles on it and it didn't feel safe driving it. There was so much play in the steering that it was hard to keep it going down the road straight. You constantly had to course correct or risk going into the ditch or crossing into the other lane. Shame on U-haul for putting its customers at risk like that.KENNETH Z.
The gas gauge indication was not correct on the rental agreement. Spoke with the woman who said she would adjust the gas gauge to 5/8 is a tank from 7/8. I used the truck for 7 miles and added over 2 gallons to the tank before returning it. Gauge read 3/4 at return, more than when checked out. Was charged for another 4 gallons, or $17 at return as it was not 7/8. Sent email explaining this and heard nothing back. I used the truck a total of 7 miles. Not happy about the $17 gas charge. What can I do? This means the vehicle gets only 1 mile per gallon! Not right!Robert H.

I had 2 units from March, 2020 to January 2021 when I moved out of the large unit I kept the smaller unit until mid August 2021. Every employee whom I met during this time was always very helpful & courteous. The facility was always orderly & free of bugs. This is my first experience using U-Haul truck and storage rental and I have been very pleased with everyone with whom I have spoken. When we arrived at the storage unit the reservation that I had made in advance was not on their computer even tho I had printed the paper showing the reservation number and date. Thankfully, there were storage units available but if there were none available that would have been a huge problem because I had a Bellhops crew there to unload the truck and put everything in storage.Patsy F. | First Impressions
