Check out lady had to sweep out and mop ,very muddy. I had to use roll of paper towels to dry out to keep from slipping on metal floor! The check out lady was so kind and helpfull this was not a big deal!

A young worker made a 10-second inspection of my trailer and said I was good to go. Didn't try the lights, and just glanced at the hitch. Fortunately, an older gentleman came by later and checked on me, to make sure everything was OK. The general manager inside was very professional, efficient, and thorough.

I made a reservation 1 month a head of time. The scheduler/manager called me the night before the pick up and said I had to drive 2 1/2 hours to pick up the Uhaul and trailer. Then 2 1/2 hours back to where I needed to load. The manager was unwilling to make any compensation for extra gas or time.I made the reservation for one way from NH to Hixson TN. I turned it in at Hixson TN 3 days ahead of the required time. However Uhaul charged me an additional $312.04 saying just the trailer was dropped off in Florida!!? I will never rent from Uhaul again. If anyone I know is moving I will tell them to rent from Ryder. Additionally the average hold time to speak with a Uhaul customer service agent is at least 30 minutes. Your organization is horrible and you need to clean up your business.

I had used my phone number to make the reservation, but put my husband as the primary driver. We didn't know that he would not be able to do an after hours return with his phone, even though he had the contract #. Wasted over an hour of our time trying to process the return, and making additional trips to the uhaul location, so that I could bring my phone to that location.

The truck we rented was clean and the gentleman that helped us was super nice. However, the truck had over 170,000 miles on it and it didn't feel safe driving it. There was so much play in the steering that it was hard to keep it going down the road straight. You constantly had to course correct or risk going into the ditch or crossing into the other lane. Shame on U-haul for putting its customers at risk like that.

The gas gauge indication was not correct on the rental agreement. Spoke with the woman who said she would adjust the gas gauge to 5/8 is a tank from 7/8. I used the truck for 7 miles and added over 2 gallons to the tank before returning it. Gauge read 3/4 at return, more than when checked out. Was charged for another 4 gallons, or $17 at return as it was not 7/8. Sent email explaining this and heard nothing back. I used the truck a total of 7 miles. Not happy about the $17 gas charge. What can I do? This means the vehicle gets only 1 mile per gallon! Not right!

Location did not have a functioning printer, so there was no opportunity to sign a contact. Equipment did not have a license plate and they declined to swap for another trailer of the same size that did have a plate.

Customer service / period! The staff was rude and not helpful at all. I would not even recommend the location to an enemy! Look at google reviews - says same thing - people are rude - place is awful. Obviously uhaul corporate does not care and this review is probably a waste of time too. The person we were dealing with was the manager - has his picture on the wall and cards on the table. He was so unhelpful and rude.

I was told that this location opened at 7:00 AM but the girl didn't get there until 7:15 then she made me hook up the trailer I had rented. I am a handicapped person with a placard on my truck I guess she would have a better job without her phone being constantly at her ear. I will never come back.

Staff were great and friendly. Corporate policy on intimidating customers into buying insurance they don't need, not so much. You cannot get someone to sign a waiver saying they have to "immediately" pay you for damages. That is insulting and contrary to any case law I'm aware of. No one has to "immediately" pay anyone for anything without recourse. This is obviously a pressure tactic for a buck and legally dubious wording.

I had 2 units from March, 2020 to January 2021 when I moved out of the large unit I kept the smaller unit until mid August 2021. Every employee whom I met during this time was always very helpful & courteous. The facility was always orderly & free of bugs. I rented a truck to bring my furniture from SC to Tennessee & was pleased with the truck. I highly recommend U-Haul to anyone who needs their services.

The truck was 9 miles until empty. I was given a fuel credit but charged for going two miles over my estimated mileage. Which wouldn't have happened if I didn't have to put gas in the vehicle twice.

I am very happy with the job they did plus the personnel were awesome. Ben kept me updated during a shipping delay so I knew exactly what was going on at all times. Another added bonus was they were more reasonably priced than their Hixson competitors! If the service was poor I would pay more to avoid them but am very happy I chose U-Haul of Hixson!

I rented a truck for 24 hours and was told if I brought it back after hours , to bring it back on half a tank, park it under the green canopy, and place the keys in the drop box. Parked under the canopy right in front of the door, dropped the key in the box at 930pm 10 hours total use time on a 24 hour rental. They chose to not check my truck back in till after 3pm the next day and charged me for an additional rental day. The $19.95 rental game was already over $130.00 did you have to ripped me off even more by taking 17-18 hours to check my vehicle back in with the key in your hand and the truck parked 20 feet from your front door? Unbelievable tactics for a “reputable” business!

Rented a truck for 24 hour pickup. Got to the location, they didn't leave the keys out. Got a call the next morning needing a “time frame” for when we'd pick the truck up. How about we wanted it when we had it a scheduled the night before. No apologies from anyone. The lady we dealt with was rude as hell. Didn't go over anything about the process with us. This location was a cluster and my personal opinion is there needs to be more truck rental options so U Haul can't have the monopoly in this business and maybe they'd be nicer/get their shit together for the highway robbery they charge you to rent a truck.

Better communication. The woman checking out the trailer simply picked a drop-off location without letting me know what she was doing. Had she communicated with me I would have been able to tell her there was a better location with 24 hour drop off that I preferred to use, but she was in a hurry and couldn't be bothered to speak to me. The man I spoke to on the phone to make the reservation was very helpful.

The straps on the trailer we were assigned were worn out to the point that we had to stop every hour on the interstate to tighten them. Our car stayed on, but even with it being a small lightweight car, the safety chains made us nervous, too. Between the worn out straps and the poor quality safety chains, we would not rent a u-haul car towing trailer again.

The woman who waited on me was rude! Very rude! And overcharged me!! I got a charge of $140.00. I returned the rental a few minute after closing. The next day I called and asked if uhaul would not charge me for the late return and the woman said she would not. I then attempted to tell het about my bad experience the day before and she said she was the same woman who helped me. When I asked her if a lot of people had called in sick or something, she said no. I said then why were you in such a bad mood yesterday? You were so rude. She said " We both just need to pray on it " and hung up on me. And charged me an additional $104.00!! I have used Uhaul in the past and been very satisfied!! I will really hesitate to ever use uhaul again based on this experience. I can give you more details, if needed. I believe it is illegal to tell me you will not charge a late fee and then charge a late fee!! So it costs me right at $250.00 to go to Murfreesboro and back none day plus the full tank of gas I used. There was over 1/4 tank left when I returned it. I have a photo if needed. Unfriendly, not helpful, SMALL storage area. Dirty storage. I complained about this and was told they were goin to resolve the issue and call me within 72 hrs. That did not happen. I feel uhaul owes me 144.94. The unit I reserved was not 12x10x12 I was told to go somewhere else. So I did. I used uhaul mainly because they offered me one month free.

This is my first experience using U-Haul truck and storage rental and I have been very pleased with everyone with whom I have spoken. When we arrived at the storage unit the reservation that I had made in advance was not on their computer even tho I had printed the paper showing the reservation number and date. Thankfully, there were storage units available but if there were none available that would have been a huge problem because I had a Bellhops crew there to unload the truck and put everything in storage.
