The experience went well. There is a lot of inventory to choose from. The employees were friendly. I'd say that sometimes if more than 2 people are being serviced if a new person comes in there should be an acknowledgment of those new people. Even something simple like "welcome to Uhaul, we'll be with you in a moment" will help ensure someone knows they are seen.ANTHONY C.

The woman who checked me out was the only employee in the store even though there was someone before me and two waiting after me. It was noon on a Friday. She was sweet and friendly with the lady in front of me. When it was my turn she became curt and almost rude. While checking me out 4 peopled called and since she was the only employee she spoke with the callers. I finally received the truck almost an hour later. Even though I requested an appliance dolly she asked me if I wanted one. I said yes and she replied that she would have to go in the back and get one. After explaining the contract to me she said she had to go clean the truck and would bring it up front to me. I waited about 10 minutes and she drove it up front to me and handed me the keys. I started to drive off but the rear view mirrors weren't adjusted properly so I stopped to readjust them. As I was doing so she shouted out and waved to me. I found out that she had not put the dolly in the truck and to come back to the store (about 10 yards away.) and get it. Another woman showed up and brought the dolly to the counter. I took it and rolled the 10 yards and put it in the back of the truck. Funny thing though the refrigerator (approximately 6.5' high) that I needed it could not be installed in the truck upright. I had to lay it sideways. You also advertise that the truck I was renting would move the contents of a one bedroom apartment. Sorry. That couldn't be further from the truth. Along with the refrigerator I installed a stove, a small table, 3 chairs, a cutoff saw, a small tool box, an executive high-backed chair, and some wood planks. I would not have been able to load anything else of size into that truck. Upon returning the truck a young man was at the counter. He asked if I was checking out a truck or returning one. I told him that I was returning it. He asked if I had my email on the rental agreement. I told him yes. He informed me that I could go now and he would email the settlement to me. I told him I woulld wait for a receipt. He said he would be right back after checking the trunk. I waited between 10-15 minutes and a guy came in and asked me if I worked there. I told him no and that I was waiting for my receipt. Another employee came in and started to serve the guy. I asked him what happened to the man who was checking me out. He said he was in the truck. I walked out to the truck. Waited about 2 minutes by the driver side door while he was on the phone. He finally opened the door and told me that the total cost was $111.78. I don't know what he was doing for 15 minutes on the phone but his overalll attitude no-professional to say the least. The long and short of it was by the time I left I was angry and frustrated and $111.78 for using a truck for 5 hours that had no ramp and was too small to accomodate a normal sized refrigerator is unacceptable. I am not sure I will use U-haul again and I know for sure that I wont rent from that location ever again.MARK D.

Scheduled delivery for 2 weeks in advance, reconfirm a week prior but boxes never showed up. When we called location never picked up the phone when calling; only way we got answers was to go down in person which is a 20-30 min drive. They said they had an issue in the system but will deliver them tomorrow before 11am. Boxes never came again so went to location where the boxes finally left as we arrived. First person barely could backup and drive with the boxes on the trailer. Will never use Uhaul again.Brittany W.

The staff was late to open the store. My pick up was scheduled for 8am but the store doesn't open till 9am however the employees were late to open the store 15 minutes. Additionally, the employees were not knowledgeable and showed little care in helping me. The associate gave me the contract and pointed at the truck and then walked off. They were not helpful in scheduling my drop off as it was defaulted to a location 60 miles from my move location. They said just call the number but I was already had a late start with a long day of moving. I'm the end the extra miles cost me an additional $50. Very displeased with the lack of care by the employees at this location.GARRY S.

Though most of the staff seem friendly and they are willing to correct most issues. I found the restricted hours to be most inconvenient. The security system does not work well and has system issues regularly. I was offered a free month for my inconvenience, but I would not store here again. The management is good but I do not have faith in most of the locations employees to be able to full assist me. Overall not a bad location. Monica Bowers was exceptional. She actually had to put me in another truck due to a prior mileage/post check-in issue. The original truck had 200 more miles than stated in the system. Throughout the process, she was very courteousFORACE B.
This is not my first time renting from U-Haul. The location has plenty of equipment but is short-staffed and/or poorly trained and managed. I had to wait 30 minutes for an employee to basically tell me which trailer was reserved for me. The trailer had good tires and was in good working order. I observed a couple of small cockroaches and spider webs in it when I picked it up. I cleaned them up when I got home. The move went fine. The U-Haul website would not accept a photo from my phone and therefore would not allow me to complete my rental. I called the 800 number at 10:35 p.m. Friday 8/27 & waited 30 minutes on hold. Nobody picked up. I called back at 8:15 a.m. Saturday 8/28 and was disconnected three times in lieu of joining the hold pattern. I returned to the store to complete my rental and had to wait another 20 minutes to get anyone's attention. The person who ultimately helped me was a U-Box employee who was supposed to be doing other things. Poor experience in website and at this location. To whom it may concern, I had a terrible experience with Uhual on August 7, 2020. I made a reservation in store at the Wrightsboro road location for August 7th at 10am. When I showed up to get my truck, there was not one available and no one could explain how it happened. I waited for 90 mins before being sent to the Broad street location for a truck. After arriving at the Broad street location, they told me that they don't have anything available and were unsure why I was sent there. They then found I was supposed to be sent to the Gordon highway location. I was able to finally receive a truck after waiting 45 mins there. My reservation was set for 10am and I didn't receive a truck until after 1pm. This is unacceptable and inconvenienced me and everyone helping in the move. I would greatly appreciate some form of reimbursement for my experience.T'SHAWN C.

Have an attentive staff. Have staff that actually cares for the job they are doing. I arrived there and waited a total of 40 minutes to pick up the truck. And while we waited for someone to actually help us the line of people got longer and longer. And when I got the truck it was dirty and not cleaned out. The only saving grace was that the guy who helped me was willing to clean out the truck.Jon H.
The truck was wiped down inside but the fragrance was very bad. The building was very clean and the service was excellent. However, Uhaul needs to send all the old vehicles that have reached their limit to the junk yard. The truck I had was the worst one ever. The engine light stayed one. The mileage indicator came on once I reached my destination. Had difficulty adjusting the seat to reach the pedal and lifting the back door up. Kept hearing a ping noise coming from the engine. The truck body had deep scratches on both sides and the antennae was bent out of shape. The truck did get me where I needed to go within the hour I had it. I just hope no one gets that truck if they are traveling a long distance.Elaine V.
The cab of the truck had spilled dog food beneath the seats. One of the U-haul reps strapped my car onto my tow trailer, but when I stopped for gas 1/4 mile down the road I found that one of the straps had come completely undone and my car had begun to slip off the trailer. The truck cargo area had roaches. I was overcharged by $1,590 huge complications of my time and money. Two employees quit because I didn't have the funds to pay them that day. The owner Jeff rectified the money situation. The employee Alvin looked as if he had no remorse at all. This is not a small mistake you can't check in a vehicle without the vehicle being there so in my mind it was malicious and irresponsible. And a huge example of someone who is definitely not doing their job correctly or is committing fraud at the workplace. I recommend that this employee be terminated immediately. At the time that I am writing this complaint. The bank has not cleared my account funds. Because of this transaction. This is so frustrating and there's nothing I can do other than wait till the process clears up with the bank. Because of this I have suffered a huge inconvenience and financial loss. This mistake should have never happened you should not be able to check in a vehicle that is not there on the premises. I will be contacting an attorney to see if there's any further actions I can take.HILTON B.
