This was the worst experience of my life. The most incompetent group of people I ever met. The boxes came late the 1st day. Around 6pm when scheduled by 4pm that day and only after I called multiple times for it. The boxes once packed and had to be picked up June 30th as it was my last day at the residence. After calling the main office, the local office, the office that should've picked it up and just not having ANYONE answer the phones, emailing and chatting with useless customer service reps the boxes were picked up 3 DAYS LATE! Then I had problems Scheduling to get the boxes dropped at the new property. Again there is noway of reaching these people using the number provided, I had to keep a worker's personal number so that I could reach anyone. I was promised they would be dropped off Monday July 12th, I was called the day before changing to Tuesday July 13th by 12pm, 4pm the latest. Did they reach Tuesday? Did anyone call? Was I able to reach anyone for hours and hours of calling and texting the so called driver to get any answer or response? No, nothing. Just did not show up, no call no message. We had a moving company scheduled to unload the boxes that I can to change from Monday to Tuesday and then to Wednesday in hope that the boxes would get dropped off. They finally got here Wednesday, there were no ramps (we were told they were stolen on their site-so my boxes were not safe), we were not given anything to accommodate the fact that there was no ramp to unload anything. The boxes were also set at the bottom of the drive way as they could not bring it up, even though that was never something that was requested or had noted on the site that would prevent us from using the boxes. Just that they needed a flat surface. Then, while the movers were unloading, the boxes started to roll, the movers had a direct line to uhaul and alerted them at 11am that the boxes were rolling, they first told her that there was no hill. (Remember they couldn't put it up the driveway because of the hill). They did not come to check the rolling boxes until after 3pm. It has been a fight with these people. When they finally show up they are polite, but the worst professionalism, timeless, experience and likelyhood to recommend they get 0 for all.Elshardi E.

Website states storage access until 10pm, but it closed at 7pm. Did not receive free lock upon move in. Was sent to another Uhaul location to purchase a lock. Came back the next day to be reimbursed and no manager available. Had to make a third trip to finally reach someone to give me a lock. I then had to go to the other Uhaul location to get a refund. I have to go see the manager tomorrow. I was given a truck that had just has been dropped off on 1/8 of a tank of gas. My contract stated to bring it back at 1/4. The truck was not clean, smell like trash and has nats in it. I dealt with that until I return the truck and was charge $50 dollars for not feeling the truck up with gas.RODRICK S.

Ordered vehicle in line. Vehicle would not start, informed clerk who stated â€œbecause you ordered vehicle onlineâ€ we cannot assist. Fortunately contacted the ASM who solved the issue of the inept clerk. 1.5 hours later we were on the road. Upon return we encountered another inexperienced clerk who gave us the run around. Again, the ASM had to intervene. Truly a waste of time! u-haul turned a simple transaction into a â€œHorrible Customer Experienceâ€.. For the record the other time we ordered a truck the A/C did not work and the ASM had to step in as well. Our credit card was also compromised as direct result of the transaction. The manager needs to be retrained. She was yelling at customers and at times I was fearful she was going to get physical with customers. I will NEVER use this location ever again. The U-Haul employee at this location did not properly do the return process, so had I not have contacted U-Haul customer service on the phone to verify my return was complete, I would have unknowingly been charged each day after until I caught their error. I have already contacted Customer Service regarding my issues with this truck. I had 2 people end our Chat without anything getting resolved. I now see that I was charged for fuel I didn't use and additional fees I know nothing about. I reserved a Pick up truck do to my car being down in case my mother had to be taken to the ER as she has congestive heart failure and is not doing well. This box truck was driven less than 15 miles and sat in my driveway because it wasn't safe enough to drive anywhere else and there was NO WAY we could have gotten my 83 yr old mother in the truck had there been an emergency. I want to know how you came up with these charges. The fuel had less than 3/4ths of a tank and when it was dropped off it had almost the same amount.MELANIE R.

Representative was more interested in talking to another random person about a truck than helping me. Waited over 30 minutes with representative who seemed generally incompetent. Box of truck was dirty. Check engine light was on. Truck smelled strange and looked dirty in general. Dolly that I didn't rent was in the box, which was useful for me, but showed a lack of attention to detail. Location was surrounded by people high/drunk/posessed by demons. I like the guys behind the counter but unfortunately no one had a name tags on so i cant acknowledge any one particular person. I will say that i was really upset about being overcharged. They had a miscommunication about who received my truck key and then turned around and waited a day to ask me about it then turned around and charged me for an extra day. Im very disappointed in that maneuver. I feel it was very underhanded. Otherwise the guys there were buce abd helpful.BONNIE H.

Very poor customer service from office staff. No one was available at the site, had to drive to another site to confirm my reservation. Staff member didn't want to honor my previously signed contract regarding my free month of storage. He then lied to me telling me Uhaul changed the offer, not knowing that I had already had a contract number. Once I showed him my email from Uhaul, he said he would give me the free month, but acted as if he had a problem with it. The unit I reserved was for a 10x20, upon entering the storage site, the unit he gave me definitely did not look like a 10x20. I was told storage access was until 7pm, so I left to pack my belongings onto my Uhaul truck that I rented from another location. When I returned at the storage site at 4:30pm, the doors were locked and there were 5 other Uhaul customers waiting and looking for site manager. I patiently waited but when the site manager arrived on the site at 4:50pm, he said the site closed at 5pm because it was Thursday. No one told me this beforehand. He said he was only going to open the door for a customer who had about 3 items to put in her unit. He was rude so I just took my lock off my unit and rented storage from another company. I have always been a Uhaul customer and I plan to continue renting trucks, but I will NEVER rent from the Gordon Hwy location again.EDGIE M. | First Impressions
