Our original pickup location was changed the day prior to the reservation and contact was made with the new pickup location to confirm they would be open on Father's Day. The location confirmed they'd be open at 9am. We waited for almost an hour outside of the closed location before we reached out to the original pickup location and was sent to ANOTHER location to pickup the trailer. This was poor customer service all around and caused a delay for our medical team to transport a patient.

We pre-checked the night before to pick up a trailer at 10, arrived a few minutes early, and did not leave the lot until well after 11. Completely inefficient check in process. I felt sorry for the staff who seemed nice but incapable of expediting the situation. It was so bad that two men ahead of us in line started yelling at each other in frustration and I thought a fight was going to break out. Very scary.

This was the WORST experience I’ve had with Uhaul ever. I have been using Uhaul for over 10 years and the Gandy BLVD location in Tampa needs help!! The staff needs to be RE-trained and the managers need to take charge of situations better. I am disappointed with my experience and will be contacting corporate.

This is the second weekend in a row I rented a truck from you. Both trucks the AC didn't work and I made a complaint and they did nothing about it. This week I went in and apparently they double-booked my rental that I made a month ago. Luckily they bump somebody else to give me my truck. Absolutely horrible I don't know how you guys are still in business.

I ordered a moving from Ohio to Florida, it completed on 5/11 and paid everything. However I am receiving many payment requests which is not existing storage rental of room #AA2621E. I replied back the email and called U-Haul many times. The problem is not fixed yet. I have to block my credit due to U-Haul continues trying to charge rent fee again and again. It is nightmare for me. Thanks U-Haul, no more business.

Nothing. The service was fast and attentive, not rude even though the place was packed, the truck was well maintained, drop off was ridiculously easy, the phone service was perfect and polite. I have absolutely ZERO complaints. None. Nada. Nathan. And this facility is PACKED constantly. I've gotten much worse service from less busier places. Excellent crew.

I had two rentals Saturday and Monday I had to rent a second truck on Monday because my truck reservation wasn't ready for me on Saturday so I had to run around spend money mileage and gas to go get another truck when I had guys on clock working by the hour then I couldn't finish the job because the storage unit closed at 8 and we couldn't make the second load so it forced me into a second rental today on Monday then I get a substandard truck it ran fine but the ramp pulled out and fell off the track and it got about 4 miles to the gallon so if you claim to look up your customers you sure weren't looking out for me I think that U-Haul was looking out for how they could get through the busy weekend and not worry about what the customers problems are very bad experience with two rentals and cost me unnecessary money not due to my fault due to U-Hauls fault

Waited over 30 minutes in line to get rental vehicle that we have registered for weeks and checked in online prior, as well. We had rented a utility dolly but it was not provided. Tried to call to get the dolly taken off but I was on hold for 15 minutes just to get transferred and had to wait another 15 minutes. Finally got a note put that it was never received, but when we returned to the location it was still never removed off of our rental. Overall, customer service was very poor.

I rented 2 vans in10 day's,both trucks had only 3/8 of a tank of gas;having to stop for fuel within an hour of picking up the vehicle is a real inconvenience and takes time away from the actual moving.I would think that a location of this size would make sure all the vehicles were properly fueled before customers rented them.

The amount of time that our employees had to wait at this U-Haul was unacceptable. We had even reserved the box truck and the storage unit days in advance to cut down on the time it would take them to complete this job. They drove from Fort Myers to Tampa to complete a job and had to wait an extra 2 hours because one employee was on lunch and the systems were down. We will never use this U-Haul again!

I have had a terrible experience moving with uhaul’s uboxes. I used moving help movers through the UHaul site as they recommended and Uhaul employees refused to work with them. One employee actually CANCELLED MY MOVING HELP without telling me or asking me. My movers were already behind schedule because the uboxes weren’t at the correct location to begin with. I literally only found out that my moving help had been cancelled (without my consent!!!!!!) through calling the national help line multiple times to try and find out what was happening. So then I had to scramble to find other movers and a move that was supposed to be done by 3 wasn’t done until 10pm. And then when I got to my destination, they again refused to work with my moving help. They didn’t want to give him my uboxes and didn’t give him any definitive reason why and the manager just hid in the back room. Uhaul NEEDS to work on their accessibility and employee training because they treated my (deaf) movers AWFUL. They didn’t want to even try to talk to him and acted like he was an inconvience. Basically until my hearing parents and me got there they wouldn’t explain anything to my movers. And then once we finally got it sorted out (my movers had been there since 10am, this was now almost 12:30) the employee disappeared without telling us what she was doing and we ended up waiting another 40 minutes because we were told to wait there until she came back and after the 40 minutes we were like can you PLEASE tell us what’s going on and they were like oh she’s waiting for the movers to come get the box. Literally ZERO COMMUNICATION and then when my movers went back to get the second box, they couldn’t find it, the manager again hid from him so he didn’t have to talk to my movers. So a move that was supposed to be done by 1-1:30pm wasn’t done until about 4 or 5. And it wrecked my movers schedule who had another move at 2:30 and so gave them a bad start with another client. Overall if I could I would give Uhaul -10 stars. My entire experience with Uhaul has been AWFUL!!!!!!!

I had to wait in line 30 mins just to return the storage bins I rented. That’s crazy. Improve the speed at which your service staff can service guests. Most guests in line were buying boxes. There’s no reason it should take almost 10 mins to check someone out for boxes.

Overall, after renting a 25'truck in NOvember, a 15" truck and the box in April - I am thoroughly impressed. Everybody was super friendly and accommodating. communication was excellent. I would recommend u-haul to anybody after this experience.

Truck had less gas than was listed in the contract, no key for the pad lock, staff was not willing to help resolve the fact they did not provide a good key, was not given the correct amount of furniture pads/hand truck. Overall very poor experience.

EZ Move provides outstanding service. Fast-paced and courteous best define the company's employees along with proper care and consideration while handling our furniture and home items. Three employees moved our two bedroom, dining room, living area, kitchen, bathroom, and terrace area from our third floor apartment to our new apartment located also on the third floor. I am absolutely pleased with EZ Move, shall hire the company again, and definitely recommend EZ Move.

The outside of the truck was not clean. The inside of the truck was dirty. We felt rushed when conducting the visual inspection and felt we may have missed dings and other imperfections.

Using the mobile version in no way saved time, it instead added double the amount of time. The truck I reserved was unavailable and the staff was in no way helpful instead directing me to the app. only after there was no truck and I did not get a call in a timely manner did I get help. Technology doesn't ever replace good customer service.

Rented a van online and sent a confirmation code on the day, they didn’t have the van and didn’t tell me until I asked and they said: oh did you rent a van? We’re out of those. We’ll give you a truck instead. (Bit frustrating) When the man asked if I would like to purchase insurance, I said: I already selected that as an option online? And he said, oh it’s not here (even though my confirmation said it was). So I had to click to add insurance. Even when I CLICKED it was not added. So I had to go back into the place to get it added. (Very frustrating). Looked over the truck, lots of dents and scratches, but it was driveable.....I though. Until I got into the highway and it was then realized that the side mirror was broken and spinner so we couldn’t see what was behind us (AGAIN FRUSTRATING). The FINAL FRUSTRATING ASPECT: when we were given the truck, there’s was only 1/8 of gas in the tank. Guess where I had to go first? The gas station. Will I come again? I hope not

It took me 30 minutes to get my truck rented, even after doing most of the paperwork online. I do not like your policy of calling emergency contacts, my contacts were sleeping at the time of the rental and they had to be woken to answer the phone. Will not be likely to rent again with policies like this that delay my moving activities.

When I walked in, the lady at the desk greeted me which was good, but after that it went downhill. She started off the conversation by saying “you’re late”, when I was only 5 min late and it wasn’t busy. Then she kept pestering me about that for the whole time. She put a truck on my order because she thought I needed it to pull the trailer, but I already have my truck in file and I told her that multiple times. After about 5 min of her telling me I need the truck, she realized I already have a truck so she let that one go. She was rude, incompetent and seemed to have no clue as to how to treat a customer. I will NEVER be going back to this location. I have a great history with uhaul, but after this experience, I have changed that opinion. I will be spreading the word about this location, and no one I know will be using it anymore.

My only issue was that I never received one single email from the Tampa office. The email address was incorrect and never fixed. Thankfully the moving people were on the ball and I received many phone calls and emails from them

The drivers sunvisor hung in my face. The A/C barely worked. The engine warning light came on. The windshield was dirty. Overall, from my perpective the vehicle should have been taken out of service. If I hadn't been pressed for time I would have returned the truck.

The whole checkin process is really inefficient. I hate how I have to checkin inside, so outside to get the trailer, then come back inside to finish up. I think one of those steps can be eliminated.

The gandy place was great. My problem is with the original place (Florida towing and repair on Henderson) where no one was there to give me the truck (this company is complete shit and uhaul shouldn’t be using them). I also had to spend an hour on the phone with uhaul before I found a competent person who could change the location. I was on hold for at least 10-15 minutes every time I called uhaul and got disconnected twice. Overall, the experience was terrible but at least I finally found someone who was able to find me a new location (something I was asking every single person from the beginning).

I did not have a phone, which delayed the entire process over security? I did have a valid ID and credit card. I did not get the hand truck I asked for. I think that it is ridiculous that you are charged for the rate of vehicle, gas, and mileage and they try to charge you a quoted amount and then it jumps up excessively when your return the vehicle. Plus you’re responsible for putting your own gas it yet are charged for it. It took over 45 minutes to even get in the uhaul when i already preregistered and the employees were evasive and didn’t seem to want to work. Just overall terrible and I intend to get my money back.

The reservation process, express check in, and self check in were just outstanding and amazing process. I think everyone should give Mrs. Judith Brown an applause because she was amazing on doing my rental and should be awarded for her amazing and outstanding customer service. Also the new tagless system they have was also easy, fast, and well understanding. I will be renting from here again in the future of any moving is needed :-)

You should do what car rental places do. Place very obvious signage in the cabs of your vehicles warning renters that if they smoke in the vehicle there will be a cleaning fine of $250 or something like that. Our truck smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Yuck! Otherwise our experience was very good! Thank you! Your staff was especially courteous and helpful. Very customer service oriented.

The first van that was given to me had an A/C problem...the knob didn't work and the you could not change the fan speed. I took it right back and was given another van. While the van was clean it had the strangest smell. And not a good smell. I am not sure what it was but it would not go away. Also...I had to get air in the tire as I had a warning signal that I had low tire pressure. This was not convenient as I was by myself and coming down a mountain in North Carolina. However...other than that...the van was great. And the people at the location where I rented are very nice!

Those women working there are plain rude, they do not know the ABCs of Customer Service. If you ended up at this location, do not even bother to be served by those horrible females, wait until Nate the manager or any other male clerk is available to help you, otherwise those women will ruin your day. They should stay away from anything related to customer service. By the way I am a woman writing this review.

I do have a Question : I noticed the van I rented had Arizona plates and since I am moving to just south of Phoenix the end of April to the first week in may is there any break on renting that van since I will be transporting it back ? If not then what is the least expensive way to rent a Newer Cargo Van for one way with unlimited miles including a drop off fee. Next time it would be nice when they ask u for an emergency contact at 7am that they ask if they can call them that early. My reference was sleeping and didn’t answer but I would have given them another reference that was awake at 7am. The voicemail was all they needed but not necessarily the best to call at 7am on a Saturday. Maybe call emergency contact on normal time the day before or when u call to register and pre on line registration.

Service was extremely slow. The trailer that is rated 4 ft. by 7ft. has less than 4 ft. in cargo space. The only way we discovered this was by measuring it ourselves. The manager rationalized that it was ok because online information indicated accurate measurements. We did not have access to online information at the time. If we had taken that trailer, we would not have been able to transport our cargo. Can't imagine what a mess that would have been. It took approximately 1 hour to rent a small open trailer. Don't ever want to return again.

I ordered a truck online. When I picked it up the vehicle was not ready/up front. The assistant had to call the person at turn in to see where the truck was. The assistant had to walk to the back of the lot to get the truck. I had a move scheduled and time was wasted looking for a truck when it should have been up front and ready to go. Besides that..all went well.

Told the clerk the one-way drop off location was too far from my arrival location. Asked to gave tge zip code updated; it wasn't. Instead I was told to drop it off anywhere. When I went to the closest uHaul where I was told they didn't accept trailers so I had to find another location. Could have been avoided if the return zip code had been updated. Cost me time, gas and frustration unnecessarily. May have to consider another location to rent from; however, Betty Lou was very helpful.
