Dropped off after regular hours… Also will complement Todd and Jessica who went out of there way to assist me with a very challenging situation due to pooor explanation of the “disclaimer” about equipment availability…. The idea that equipment may not be available at a specific store is one thing, but I never expected to have to drive two hours to get the truck I needed. Again Todd’s team was able to pull off a challenge, but Uhaul didn’t do him or his team any favors!

I waited outside in the heat to return the truck per instructions in the signage. No one came. I went inside and waited in line to be told to just drop the key and I would get an email receipt. Truck was never checked in. The next day I get a text asking when I am going to rtn it as others are waiting. I callled and told I would get a call back but 4 hrs later I called again and held as the transaction was finally completed and I was assured no other charges would occur

My truck was changed to a larger one, causing me to have to buy more fuel. I was billed for fuel I should not have had to purchase. The fuel level in the app was different than what was shown in the photo I took when I picked up the truck. I would like someone to contact me to resolve this.

Reserved a small box trailer a month ago. The day before pickup i was asked (text message) if I wanted to change pickup location to one that was an hour away - said no. Then I got a call. Problem was there were no box trailers available at all. I needed to get the next size up and use a different location. Picked the Gandy store because it was only 40 minutes away. Original location is 8 minutes away. My big problem with this is that it happened 3 out of the 4 times I reserved a trailer.

The two UHAUL employees working there (on 9:30am Sunday/forgot their names) were excellent! Some of the equipment was not brought back on time by previous customers but they were trying their best to accommodate me with a great attitude. Great customer service and great quality equipment.

The manager there Courtney was very rude and made me feel like she judged me as soon as I walked in the door and I she would notice her hiding around corners watching me and then when I go to say something she duck and take off and then come up behind another corner and then she called the police to have one of my guests that was helping me move trespass off the property when then I had to put all my stuff in my storage myself and I was hurt in the process

Some issues w CC declined.Received text & emails requiring immediate response.Was told for lack of $ by uhaul & they required another card immediately.Knew $ was available.Cked w CC co & they had not declined anything.First day charges had gone through.After 3rd phone call to co & further questioning, uhaul admitted that their system had gone down.After a few attempts card accepted.They never informed me that card was accepted.Would have been better if they had admitted earlier that their system was the issue.Employees courteous.

I called the Gandy location for a reservation and was kind of blown off over the phone, couldn’t understand him bc he had me on speaker while many others were talking in the background. I said forget it and walked into the location to be greeted and helped in a more appropriate manor than the cold shoulder over the phone by the same guy. He quoted $120 for a 20 ft truck for 5 days with unlimited miles from some new guy from Montgomery AL, his name starts with a J. Was told by Traffic this type of reservation is not even possible, but this is what I was told by Jamierka? Or a name in similar letters to that. The whole time he was making my reservation he was on his personal phone talking about some money exchange he’ll do in the parking lot of uhaul. My reservation said 15 ft truck but he said when I pick it up he promises it’ll be a 20 ft truck. Called the day prior to verify my reservation, the person said it was a 26ft reservation at ybor for 1 day and 40 miles for $230, I relayed that’s completely inaccurate. She said the best she can do is a 20 ft an hour away for two days and they’ll add some miles, spoken with attitude. The women at the Traffic center kept speaking over me, getting snarky, just super unhelpful - which is astounding considering UHAUL are the ones consistently messing up my reservation. I had hired movers for this weekend so I agreed out of desperation. Received my email reservation at it was for 10 am and a 15 ft truck, again that was wrong. I called the Valrico location and they said they only have 15 ft trucks and to call Tampa Traffic. Spoke to many people at the Tampa and Tampa/Brandon traffic centers and all the women have a deficit of hospitality and every ounce of attitude - I think one girls name was Courtney, the other was an Indian woman. Stacey was able to rectify my reservation after 4 calls and make things right. She was a gem and super sweet, handled everything with class. Will not be using uhaul ever again. The way my reservation was so terribly botched and how it was handled by many different rude associates in Traffic, uhauls disrespect is unprofessional.

I had absolutely zero issues with this facility throughout my time renting a unit. The staff made it very easy to get started and to close out upon clearing my unit. The easy access to the facility and multiple options to park were very convenient. There was always plenty of dollies to make transporting heavy items back and forth a breeze. I love the donation area that allowed me to drop off furniture and clothes that I no longer needed. Overall, great staff and great spaces. 10/10 would recommend.

Absolutely disgusting, there were roaches in my vehicle and the manager berated me. She is extremely unprofessional and I have submitted a formal complaint. Her handling of the situation was disturbing and quite frankly unnecessary. I get better service at a grocery store than I did here. Unacceptable and appalling, do better.

Remember to tell the driver about the tow haul button. The first 300 miles was hell. The whole truck vibrated. Regardless this button should NOT be in its location. About every time I put in park or gear my finger turned tow haul on.

The truck was not clean when I picked it up - I have video saved as well of my walk around. Some of the scratch marks were actually just dirt. I actually washed the truck when we finished using it. We hung a new car smell fragrance tree in the truck because whoever drove it before us smoked so much weed that the fabric reeked of pot. TERRIBLE and the person should be fined for smoking weed and driving your trucks - as a physician, I know the effects of weed on cognitive skills and reaction time and the risk this person put everyone in on the road is unconscionable.

The app is 100% terrible. Worst experience. This affected my business. After even coming in the day before with questions. I left feeling like I had stupid questions but at 5am realizing I have to figure out how to get my job done. Then coming back at 7am to get the truck. Was told I wasn't verified which could have been done the day before and that the app had been glitching for the last 3 days. Why was I not told that the day before. I'm beyond disappointed. Still paid $25 for something that made my life turn upside down. I will never use uhaul again for anything.

I was given a truck with a dying battery. I called UHaul roadside assistance for a jump start. The tech acknowledged a bad battery and malfunctioning electrical system; but refused to tow to a U-Haul station 2 miles away. I was forced to drive and the truck shut down completely in the midst of busy traffic. I was lucky to pull over; but waited 5 hrs for U-Haul roadside assistant to arrange towing. Horrible experience.

Our experience with UHaul at the Gandy location and at MacDill has been refreshingly and overwhelmingly positive. Courtney M. at Gandy is incredibly personable and customer-centric and we have never had an unpleasant or unsatisfactory experience at ANY UHaul location (of which there are many in several states we have used). It’s impressive that the company culture is so consistent from one location or state to the next.

1. Be clear on UBox at Contract signing that you require 24 hours' notice to access; I couldn't find this anywhere and showed up unable to get my Box. 2. The U Box was atrocious. There were screws that penetrated the inside against my contents. Who's in charge of maintaining these? They need training. 3. My rental truck rental was a mess. They had the wrong equipment staged outside that I had rented (two furniture dolly's and a regular dolly), BUT the worst part was moving that equipment to the truck to find the truck was filthy- looked like food and dog food in the rear cargo area where my goods were to go. The technician was nice enough and cleaned it out an apologized; but more time to wait and I was on a time budget. Overall UHaul came across as mismanaged, and poor service

One thing I didn't understand - the clock - If you rent for one day - it should be a 24 hour day. I ended up paying more. Also - the truck performed OK, it needed front end balanced and the front end needed alignment - it was all over the road. I put over 100 miles on it and it was very difficult to keep it going in a straight line. The rental agent was very kind and friendly - when I asked her about the military discount plastered on the building. She said it was one way rental only. Seems odd to me. I used to be a car rental agent many years ago and I was treated with respect.

My billing cycle ended on 9 Feb 24. A week later I closed my storage unit. Considering it's still three weeks left before the next billing cycle and the unit is listed as available on the Uhaul site, I think it fair for the payment to be prorated. Please assist me with this matter. Thanks

We rented for two years and 95% of the time both restrooms would be locked, the ones nearest to our storage unit and as a senior citizen it was unfair to have to walk to the front office every time to use the restrooms. Within one year our storage unit rate increased twice. As a long time u-haul customer/ renter you should have a code for the restrooms to accommodate the people who are actually paying the bills for your u-haul establishment to exists.

The unit assigned was not in good condition (ceiling tiles broken and falling, carpet dirty and stained. We saw an employee passing by and showed her the condition and she promptly assigned a different unit in much better condition. She was very attentive and made sure we were taken cared off. Overall we had a great experience with the staff.

We did not appreciate the rate hikes, and the worst experience was the day that we removed the units. We had movers hired, and the employee in charge did not open the locks on the double doors for over an hour because he was busy with truck rentals. There were two other people trying to also move. One woman waited for over a hour. It was ridiculous. The doors were right outside the desk where he was checking people in, yet he would not take the thirty second to unlock the doors. Very frustrating and rude. Overall, the facility is nice and it’s clean. But even when we went back after the units were cleared to have the contracts closed, it took a long time. Just a very inefficient front desk. Very very close and inefficient.

The general manager held my unit hostage from my boyfriend stating that she wouldn’t give him any information on the unit until he paid the month in full of almost $200. The due date was one day before. She then refused to give him any information as he was not listed as a “user” of the unit. So it was okay to extort him for $200 but not give him a map to the unit’s location. I was very sick with 101 fever and had to appear to grant him access. The GM then said she would change my address for me as it was an out of state address when I first moved into the unit. She only changed the street number of my address. She didn’t change the street name, city, state or zip code. This has been my experience with the staff ever since I began renting the unit 2 years ago. I would NEVER recommend this place. The staff claims to be protecting the facility but in fact, they’re only interested in making money. If the manager had any conscience at all, she’d refund the whole month that she charged me for 24 hours of use. But I doubt she will as she has never been helpful or friendly.

I was surprised by the rodent trap in the unit. Is that in every unit? If so, that should be communicated ahead of time. What happens if a rodent is discovered? Are the removed periodically?

sent a message that i had a free lock if i did move in online and the online link was not working but they did not honor free lock. Not particularly accommodating about other questions as well. But place was clean.

Staff were very distracted, poorly trained. And who wants a rental that you have to go up stairs? Ever hear of an elevator? Very disappointed in this facility. Would not recommend.
