The rating on here really should be separate one for the facility itself and one for the staff. The facility was a 0 for me with the roaches that occurred within the first week. The response to fix this issue could have been much quicker. It's not really a fix but the bug bomb killed off anything that was on the soft bags. Unfortunately, (now I know) with it being an outside unit, this is common. The rating is in no way a reflection on the staff. Terrance and Shaun were also very helpful from the start with reporting the issue. Jeremiah the GM was great once he understood there were roaches and took care of it to the best of his abilities, except it was too late (3-weeks in). The issue with this location is the roaches which appeared in my unit the very first week. I lost several items due to the roaches including memento that were damaged and irreplaceable. The area manager Michelle was supposed to contact me and never did. I am saddened by this experience. The only reason I would not recommend this facility, is the roach problem. The staff, were as helpful as could be with the circumstances. This facility really needs to contract with professional services like Terminex and Orkin. I would have never place my items here had I know there was a roach issue. If you choose to store here, make sure you know there is a roach problem in the outside units and store all your items in air tight plastic bins.TONI B. | Overall Experience

The steps to check the truck back in were too long and confusing. At the end of the instructions it says to put the key in an orange key box near the front of the store, which did not exist. That is a U-Haul corporate problem. I went inside and had a confusing experience with the staff, who told me to "just give it to someone outside", which there was no one outside that I could see. So I wound up just putting the key on the counter and leaving, something which apparently amused the staff who made fun of me for not following there confusing orders. That is another U-Haul corporate problem. I won't be using U-Haul again.Chris C.

The 'gentleman' receiving me was on nhis phone and would not recognize my existance. I had to ask him who i should return the truck to, he said, 'I'm right here!' I had no way of knowing who I was supposed to turn the truck to because he looked ike he may just be a customer. No uhaul uniform and then he rolled his eyes at me and gave one of those, you must be an idiot looks and sneered. Then he went in to the truck for a few minutes, on his phone, blasted the music for a little while and eventually came out as we waited then he started to walk past me then sarcastically asked if I needed a receipt. Other than the disparaging remark he gave us no indication if we had to do anything more. he was a real asshole. He must be a family member of the owner in order to be working there or really doesn't like his job. I suggest you free him of his burden. I will not ever be returning to that locationWAYNE T.

This was a two hour local rental for $19 plus mileage. I got a Ram truck. I preauthorized a charge of $31 on my card enough too cover the estimated 10 miles I was going to drive the rental. I was gone 2 hours and put 8 miles on the truck. When I got my receipt emailed to me after I had turned the truck in and left the location they had added on $25 to my credit card for â€œclean upâ€ which consisted of running a vacuum over the seat of the truck allegedly for some white dog hair. I don't have a dog with white hair. I went back to the location and asked them to remove the charge which they refused. During the conversation the person I was talking to referred to me as â€œboyâ€ which I objected to given I'm a 71 yr old man. It's all on video. I then called U Haul customer service who said it was up to the local manager to refund. I was then put on hold while the customer service agent checked with the manager who then refused to remove the charge. I told the agent I would report this charge on my card as fraudulent to my bank and thanked her for her help. I then called my bank, explained the situation and they checked, and now they're were two separate charges on my card, one for the original $31 I authorized, and now another for $25 which I did not authorize. The bank will remove the $25 as soon as the transaction posts. I will never use U Haul again. We have a local Penske location near where I live so it's all good.WINTHROP G.

However, I've had problems with the website a couple of times- I couldn't reset the password on my account via the website and no one was able to help me do that over the phone, either. The 10' truck had food crumbs in the cup holders as well as the place below it. There were old receipts and other stuff left in there apparently from the previous drivers. So obviously the truck was not checked out or cleaned before they rented it to us! The person at the desk inside was singing a song in an unprofessional and childish way, like making a song about going to Greenville SC, which is where I was renting the truck and driving to. Seemed very unprofessional. And then to top it off, the driving was ok for the first 2 hrs of my drive, but then as it became dark, I quickly found that the left side headlight wasn't working and people in other vehicles were flashing their lights at me to warn me that I only had 1 functioning headlight. It made for dangerous driving, so I had my wife in her vehicle drive in front of me so I could see the left paint lines on the road, and not wander or weave. I believe that this headlight was never checked before I rented the vehicle for brightness. At the receiving location in SC, the attendee was very professional by contrast. He understood my complaint very well, and took the truck out of service because it was a hazardous drive. The truck also seemed to have weak to failed shock absorbers, because of the amount of bouncing after bumps. I had rented the same exact type of 10' truck about 2 weeks prior, and it rode 10x better. I'm extremely disappointed with this latest Uhaul experience!!!Randall S.

After my experience just a few days earlier I felt I would be better at doing the contactless pickup. WRONG!! The first 2 truck identifiers were no where to be found. When I gave up and went inside to check again everyone seemed clueless. Finally I was told my key was in a lockbox. There had been nothing telling me to do this!!! But again they made me feel stupid. The virtual pickup was completely different from the first day as it didn't have me approve any pictures, mileage or anything. The truck was completely filthy. Someone had spilled soft drink all over the console and floor and everything was sticky. I HAD TO CLEAN IT UP for fear that I would be the one to have to pay for it.Barry B.
This was a horrible awful customer service experience. You need to realize that some folks use your service infrequent and do not know all the ends and outs of pick up especially the supposed â€œvirtualâ€ pickup. A quick exampleâ€¦ the automated system told me to go to the inside desk to pick up the keys. Upon inquiry and finally getting them to even recognize I was there and several looking for the keys they finally decided they must be in the truck. I was told that I should have looked there first like I was stupid. When I told him that wasnt what the virtual site said he replied â€œwell I'm telling you nowâ€. Rude, mean and totally disrespectful. In the end I also didn't get the blankets I had paid for nor anyone telling me I had to be the one to pick them up. My reservation pickup location was changed THIRTY minutes prior to pickup. If I was traveling from further away, that would have been an issue. You should provide more notice. The online check in and check out mobile service failed to work both times. It couldn't determine my location so your mobile process needs a LOT of work. The agent in the office played his music on his personal cellphone loudly and it was not appropriate for a business. I filled up the gas tank to where I saw it was when I left and was still charged for gas when I returned the truck. This rental cost me more than it should have and I had a truly lousy experience renting. Would not recommend, will not do business with again!SELENA S.

I rented a mid-sized space on the 2d level. At first I was worried about the access to the 2d floor, but it was perfect for us. Everything about the site was perfect, from security to staff. The women that I meet, who maintained the inside of storage facility was helpful and nice. When I looked at this facility online, the pictures looked like a one story building. It's two levels. When I was given a second story unit, I asked where the elevators were. The unit that I was told to move into still had someone's stuff in it, even though the employees thought it was available. They then tried to switch me into a different unit and the same thing happened in that one. Eventually after trying to find an open one for 30 minutes, they realized that none of that type of unit were available at all. How does this even happen? I was actually assigned a unit number and everything, even though someone still had stuff in it. Called ahead to try and update my reservation to a first floor reservation. Was unable to do it over the phone and had problems initially with the first person I spoke to and gave up on getting a first floor storage. Then TraShawn Chambers got involved and had the situation resolved in no time. Very grateful for his assistance and the assistance of the other employee at the time. He also helped and explained how the facility security worked after we triggered the alarm accidentally. Facility condition was clean and move in was quick and easy. The instructions to access the building worked perfectly, but the doors didn't work. Additionally, there was still a lock on my unit when I arrived at at 7:50pm. This is 10 minutes before they close. When I went to the front, they asked me if I had ever been there before. I said no I reserved online. I can only imagine they're supposed to keep track of those with online move-ins to unlock units before tenants arrive. I was told by the employee, "Word of advice, don't arrive 10 minutes before we close." He went and unlocked the lock I said Thank you and he said nothing in return. Additionally, the climate in that side was reading 88 which is outside the range they promise for climate controlled storage. It's supposed to be maintained from 75-85 degrees. Finally, they promise you a free lock in the unit. There was no lock provided. Online process was easy, but this facility is a disaster.
