your check-in person was extremely polite and efficient. I had to swap vehicles and the entire team worked together to get me squared away. the 2 gentlemen with the dreadlocks were some of the nicest young men - super professional and set expectations of when my issue would be squared away. i left with a perfect vehicle. customer service isnt easy - especially when people are in a hurry - your entire team - even the supervisor outside - was polite and helpful. great experience. i think the computer system went thru some type of change or update - but that's not their fault when things dont work.

There was a major inconvenience when the trailer I reserved wasn’t available on time due to a late return by the previous customer ( why do you schedule rentals so closely together?). I had to drive an hour to another location to pick up a trailer and lost three hours off my schedule which screwed up the rest of my day. I was given a $50 credit in return but had to ask for it. This is not great service but I don’t blame the individuals I worked with who helped me out but rather your policy.

I find people to be rude. No people skills. They come at you very strong. Makes you feel little. One customer like myself might not matter. They need to be more cautious to the u-haul customers, after all we are all return customers. I dread the experience each time. I feel that the system is set up to pinch every penny out of the customer.

This is a great location if you are on the southeast side of the city. There was a parking space I could leave my vehicle parked off the street so I didn't have to worry about it being vandalized. I have rented from this location many times in the past and the trucks are usually clean but this one wasn't. The inside of the truck smelled like weed, cheep cologne, and bathroom cleanser. The seats looked like someone had spilled god knows what on them. If I had needed it longer than an hour or so I would have taken it back. The young man that brought the truck around from the parking area should have noticed this and brought me a different one.

Located in a bad part of town. The trailer that I had reserved was not available, so I had to take a larger trailer and negotiate that I would not be charged extra for it.

I ordered this pick up in San Rafael. I had to drive 35 minutes to San Francisco to pick it up. Stood in line for an hour and twenty minutes to pick up my pre ordered trailer !!!! That's ridiculous. Not your fault lots of people were there but your check in and go system needs to be much faster. I already ordered it and I am in line with people who have not. Should just have a pick up station. I will never use the San Francisco location again.

Walk through process was a bit off the tow dolly in the picture was clearly not the correct one so I had to dispute and take pictures which would have been better if it reflected actual condition of the dolly. Staff was friendly and helpful so overall ok

BEWARE renting from UHAUL!!!!!! They do not honor the term 'reservation'. . We reserved a 5x8 over a week in advance at the only location that was close. NOTHING on the website at the time indicated it was really first come first served. 3 days from pick-up, they informed us that they had rented the trailer out from underneath us and we would need to travel 50 miles away to get it, I called the 800 # and was told it was 'guaranteed'. Only to have a text the day before we needed it saying they rented THAT one out from underneath us and the trailer was now even further away in an even more inconvenient location. We called the 800# because the location didn't answer, and were redirected to yet another location (a bit closer, but way out of the way in a location that included significant traffic and tolls). When we picked it up there was NO compensation, was honored, despite assurances by 3 different agents ...why? Because their 'notes' system for our reservation somehow didn't follow the reservation.

Overall great. A couple of small negatives were that the local support was not well versed with Ubox, but the on phone staff were very helpful. Also, there was a screw up with credit card billing.

It took 1 hour to go up stairs and come back. Elevator is a big problem. Everytime I use, I had to wait half an hour. I will not use it again.

My unit was broken into and it took a month for a response from the manager, only after several voicemails, email and social media posts. When the manager did respond she did not include an apology.

The average rating is because of the elevator, it should be stressed personally to all customers CLOSE ELEVATOR DOORS, that makes for a very long and costly day where you don't can't finish moving.
