U-Haul needs to ensure that once moving help is requested the ubox/s are located and any additional equipment needed for transport is also available so that when movers arrive it is a quick and easy process. Employees at this location needs to received additional training on proper customer service etiquette so that better service can be provided.

The staff were extremely accommodating. They work very hard because that location is the busiest rental store in Broward County. That being said ,they need more trucks. I made reservations for a Pick-up truck but when I got there they didn't have it. Therefore, I had to get a 10 box truck which was really too big for the task I had to get done. I still rented the truck, but I was unable to complete my plans. They also need a variety of refreshed rental trucks, because the truck that I had really ran great, but it smelled like urine in the back. I even watched the staff member clean it, and mop the back but that did not help. It was really bad. However, I still say the people that work there need to be commended because their job is not easy given what they have to work with. UPGRADE EVERYTHING and MORE FLEET PLEASE. You asked for my opinion and I gave it.😀

Answer the phone. Coordinate customer requests Replace supervisor Walter with the lady that worked my rental. Shaneika I believe was her name. She did what she could. I rented a 5x8 trailer for my trip from Florida to Maine. Apartment was only rented until the end of the month and I had to move my furniture by the closure. I alerted this location weeks in advance of the move. I prepared in advance by measuring the standard 5X8 trailer and its rails and tie down points. Purchased straps, boxes and supplies in advance. The day before my pickup, I was told that there were no trailers available for long haul and that the reservation I made was not exactly that but just a request. No one seemed to be able to find one. They said they could only check in the local area. I said I would drive to Palm Beach if I had to in order to get one. A smaller one could not be used and a larger one was to much for my vehicle. I finally found Tanya in a local scheduling office on the phone and she reassured me that one was available for me. I had to give her number to the Broward location in order for the confirmation. The trailer arrived as Tanya promised. When it was released to me, I had to request it be blown out and the tires serviced since your documentation calls for an additional 6 pounds of pressure in the rear tires. All in all, it was not a reassuring experience. My observations from my half dozen visits to the Broward location was much customer traffic, some personnel were under trained and not enough employees to handle the foot traffic. The shop seemed to be well run and Ron installed my hitch assembly on time and with no hitches( pun intended).

Made reservation 2 weeks before, arrived at pickup location to NO truck. Called another location 45 minutes away and said they had a truck. Arrived at second location to NO truck. Told me to come back tomorrow, they would have a truck. Next morning NO truck, so they gave me the biggest truck in the fleet when reserved a 15 foot truck. Spent a lot more on gas plus the truck had a lock on the door so I had to go to a fire station to have it cut off. Next time it's Penske or Hertz rental truck !!!

I had way too many price increases over the past 4 years without any notice/negotiations in times when your facility had a 100% occupancy rate. This never made business sense; it felt like an opportunity to take advantage of your current customer base who had been loyal, while a new customer coming off the street would get a better deal up front. I had pleasant experiences with your employees but they just "go by a script" and do not have the power to enact customer goodwill on their own. That's sad but typical. You should empower them more.

I have always used U-Haul for my and my family's moving needs. However, this past experience is likely to reconsider using U-Haul in the future. About 5 days in advance of this recent move, I reserved a 15' truck with the U-Haul dealer in Wilton Manors for pickup on Saturday at noon. When I arrived on time for the pickup, I was told that there were no trucks available, much less the one I had reserved. I inquired as to how this could happen when I reserved the truck in advance. The employee there said she was not responsible but that U-Haul had a practice of OVERBOOKING its reservationS and that I could go on the U-Haul and try to find an available truck and get a $50 refund for my efforts. I then spoke to a U-Haul rep over the phone, who directed me to the Tamarac location and said she had reserved a truck for pickup at 1:00 p.m. I arrived at the Tamarac location at 1:05 p.m. and after waiting 20 minutes to be served was told that the truck that was reserved for me had just been rented out to someone else and that he had no other trucks in the lot. I again got on the phone with a U-Haul rep who sent me to another location on West Broward Boulevard which after about a 45-minute wait in line, hooked me up with the 15' truck around 3:00 p.m. So because of your company's OVERBOOKING policy, I finally received the truck I had reserved 3 hours later than promised . Luckily, the friend who had agreed to help me with the move, stuck around and helped for at least one of the two "runs" I had to make in order to move everything I had to move to my new office location. This post is no reflection upon U-Haul Moving and Storage at Broward Blvd where I finally received the truck I had reserved but a reflection upon the U-Haul Company itself. This experience has soured me on U-Haul and I will go to one of its competitors for the next move.

Really great service. Got a confirmation call as I was dropping off my car. Dropped off car within a minute of arriving, and the service took less than one hour (hitch installation). I’m very happy with (Joe and Nate?), super nice guys. Hope I got the names correct.

Calling to put in a claim Monday. Check engine light truck drives horrible. Water coming into the cabin, water leaking in the back, it ruined some of my stuff. I also got charged a cleaning fee. I returned the truck early al didn't get prorated. I call the store nobody answers, wh they answered me they said nothing, all I heard was employees and customers in the background. Horrible experience.

I ordered my Uhaul over 5 months ago and upon arrival at the location found out that it was not available. They tried to make me go to another location that was a 40-minute drive even though I had no transportation. I ended up just taking the van instead of the truck but it was a huge inconvenience without the seats that the truck has. Just disappointed that I literally placed my order 5 months in advance and was still put out to dry. Please do better!

I received the car with the check engine light on. With a broken exhaust system. Box with machine oil residues from the previous client. All my things are smeared with this machine oil residue. I reserved a 20' but it was not available and got stuck with 15' was NOT able to move everything will have to rent another truck and move the rest of my stuff. Lady was very friendly who tried to fix it but this is the second time using this location and same mistake hallened before where I had ti go in and have them fix the wrong charge amount on credit card. 2 times on 2 diffrent occasion which makes me think this happens often here.

Grabby a handcart when we hit town and the guys outside were great. My husband tried to return a lock we didn’t need and were sold at the other store. The lady at the desk was rude/short with him telling him he had to take it where he bought it. It really wasn’t the message but the tone - and the fact that we moved across the country so that wasn’t practical.

Front of office was closed- Polishing floors??? no sign telling a curtomer where to go to enter. Really unprofessional sloppy run front office. The truck stunk of pot. Not cool getting a contact high driving it... My original reservation was not filled by a different neighbourhood u-haul, we arrive for our truck and trailer only to be told they dont have one, and instructed to call the 1-800 number for an alternate....really really bad customer service. Why do you have a reservation system if you dont have the equipment for the customer? unbelieveable crappy uhaul.

In general, everything was very good, and the price was reasonable. The convenience of no long-term contract was hugely important in my decision. The closeout process was simple. It definitely made me open to U-Haul storage in the future. My particular storage unit, number 1724, had a roof leak of some kind toward the front of the unit. Had I had water sensitive materials in that location, they would’ve been ruined. It was significant amount of water. In fairness, I did not report it! But FYI. Also, there was no access to light or electricity. At least a light in my unit would’ve been helpful. And a plug would’ve been a bonus.

Hours of access are great! yet when given the storage I needed; I noticed a huge hole covered with tape I believe must of been from an old renter. As much money as this place makes I don’t understand why that can’t be fixed or replace the board wall. I just wish the staff would take their time and tidy up and state their concerns with cleanliness. Also possibly replacing small damages on equipment. And the price for storage facilities are getting higher here almost every few months.

The store staff was very nice and helpful. The woman who arranged the storage unit for us was especially helpful and professional. She made the most effort to try to resolve the continual problems we had with this facility. The storage facility overall is an eyesore and the units are poorly designed. They are dingy and quite frankly it looks like a prison. I could not I good faith, recommend this location to anyone. As far as management, there is a lot to be desired. My experience with this location has been very poor from the start and I personally, would not do business with them ever again. The lack of organization and attention to detail at the higher levels is simply not in place. Issues were continual and only got resolved because I had to ask repeatedly for them to be resolved. . This location is a far cry from the U-Haul locations that I have conducted business with in the past. It could stand for a complete overhaul. There are many changes that need to take place with this location. Truly it was a disappointing experience. I am glad to have ended my business with them. They are not a location I would use in the future nor would I recommend them to anyone that I know. They are not operating up to standards in my professional opinion. Perhaps management will take the time to reflect and make the appropriate changes to improve customer satisfaction. I personally, am not optimistic that this will happen as it has been a series of unfortunate events.

The unit I rented was supposed to come with a lock. I was forced to purchase another lock when I came in. Upon move out, I notified staff and requested I get the lock I purchased with the unit. Long story short, I did not receive the lock I purchased. When I originally purchased the unit, I was not notified about 24 hour access, which was very inconvenient. Staff was not the most personable. Not a good experience.

I, took the liberty of placing my truck rental. Precisely 3--days in advance, I get to the location present my driver's license and my confirmation code. Know available rental @ the property 2800 property. I, had to go to another location in (Pembroke Pines). That had a readily available 20' fully loaded with gas. Bam-Bam. Finally, I was on my way. My, reservation started out extremely bumpy. Fortunately, my rental experience was a HAPPY SUCCESSFUL ENDING......After all it wasn't technically the locations negligence that a/my rental wasn't readily available. I was tired from the move and the long drive, and it took another 2 hours to get the location of the storage unit after I arrived. This was supposed to be taken care of for me at the location where I picked up the truck. Plus, U-Haul sent me to 4 different locations before I was able to get the truck that I had reserved a week in advance. There were 2 employees that made up for everything bad that happened since I left U haul in Virginia. One was Tammy who cleans the storage facilities. She gave me directions and helped me when the first storage didn't work .Then there was Eric who made my experience fabulous. I swore I would never use your company again .Then those two fantastic people changed my mind .You should promote both of them .EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thanks for letting me give them a rating of A+. They are employed at the u-haul facility in Fort Lauderdale on 2800 Broward Blvd .

The wait time within these places to get a truck or a unit takes forever. I sat inline for almost 30-45mins. Just to get my truck let alone my unit when coming back down to Miami from Jacksonville. UNIT TO SMALL , DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN TO LET ME IN UNIT ALREADY HAD A LOCK ON IT

I originally scheduled my storage unit with Sentry, an affiliate of U-Haul I was directed to by a U-Haul employee over the phone. I went to complete my reservation, driving one hour in the 20 foot box truck with auto transport, and they informed me that they would not honor the first month free promotion that came with my rental arrangement. I needed to call and make a new reservation, which I did. I drove another half hour to the new location. When I arrived at the Broward Boulevard location, employees locked the doors at five minutes to closing and refused to help me. I had arranged for not only my storage unit, but also to leave the truck and auto transport there instead of my original drop off location. I called customer service who instructed me to leave it there and come back. I cam back the next day and the only available storage unit was smaller than I originally requested and there was no way I could fit my things in it. I asked for my original size and was directed to a phone call on an employees phone with Chuck Seeds, who I was told is the general manager. This man offered to have me come back the next day to resolve the issues with him. I asked about my time and gas, he got rude with me and accosted me for leaving the truck where I did then hung up on me abruptly. I am discouraged from interacting with anyone with this company now. They have either been unhelpful and impatient, or outright rude and unprofessional.

This is not my first moving experience! This Uhaul storage at 2800 West Broward Blvd. has the best employees! From the moment I walked in they all gave me a big welcoming smile. My family and I had travel during dawn to get there early since it was just us 3. All the employees where very nice. It has been a long time that you see employees actually working with a good attitude. I usually never put comments, but people only tell about the negative so I just want to tell all the team at this place “good job”!!! Thank you!!!!!

The first person who helped me was obviously having a terrible day, because she had a hissy fit and actually walked away from her post and left me standing there. Eric then came and helped me square everything away and he was very help helpful and professional. I unfortunately remember having a similar experience to this in the past at this very same Uhaul location, possibly even the same person that initially 'helped' me, or just a coincidence that someone else could be just as bad as her.

Everything was smooth. For the truck rental. I had to cancel the storage - had a 10x15 rental and the entrance door was pretty small for my belongings. It wasn’t the roll up door.

I advised an employee that the unit has been emptied and the lock has been removed. I have continued to be charged for the unit for the last 3 months and now they have sent it to collections. I have tried time and time again to contact the facility but have been unsuccessful in getting ahold of them. I have been forwarded to a call center and they stated they have left messages and that they would get ahold of me and they never did. I am extremely unhappy with these services. I am not in the area to simply stop in.

Ms. Betty was very friendly and she was extremely helpful to assist me with my accommodations. Ms. Betty is also very detailed orientated in educating me on how to enter the U-Haul storage facility. Ms. Betty also save me time and informed me the steps need to return U-Haul at different location. This process made it very convenient for me regarding I had to travel back out of town.

I've used U-Haul storage three different times and have been completely satisfied with their service each time. I made the mistake of using a cheaper alternative to U-Haul and lost thousands of dollars of artwork when the roof leaked during a heavy rain. That was a costly mistake that I won't make again. The next time I need the a storage facility I will again use U-Haul and recommend you do the same.

The only thing I would suggest is to maybe provide an option for people to assist the movers in unpacking id needed an for the workers to either say yes or no to get an additional pay or tips. I needed one person to assist me in unpacking but the employees were not allowed to assist. I would not mind paying additional cost. Maybe you can implement something similar.

The storage unit floor was not clean I was glad I had plastic on my furniture. There is no light and It was supposed to have A/C in the unit, It was very HOT! The movers I had did a much better job than the last ones!

The area I wanted was not accessible for the furniture I wanted and no other space was provided by management . This was overall a disaster. Because no space was available, no space was available and accessible, I had to immediately had to go to Salvation Army to get rid of furniture. I lost $3,000 in furniture. The manager at facility called other Uhaul location, but the answer was the same. No space available. Hence, your computer system and management made false claims about availability of rental space and I paid the price for your mistake.

You told me I would have a storage space. However, the area for storage was cramped and not accessible for putting in furniture. I was not provided the space I requested and I was not provided a larger area that I needed. This was a total failure and I had to get rid of all the furniture. I lost $3,000 of furniture because of your mistake. I will never use or attempted to use facility ever.

Betty was extremely friendly. I wish there was more to say in that regard however, the other women working the front had more than enough attitude to go around. I was rudely yelled at about wearing a mask when entering in spite of two employees who were walking around and through the store repetitively not wearing one. And in spite of the mandate being lifted. During my initial opening of the storage unit and return of the Uhaul the women I was dealing with was grumpy and seemed distracted. Overall, hire more people like Betty who are happy and excited to help you with your needs.

people nice. ALWAYS a line, have to wait EVERY time in Florida. booking the truck was awesome. Very convenient. The storage unit i used had an air conditioning pipe running thru the ceiling. the floor was always wet. Luckily, i could leave that area clear. Also when I went to remove my stuff, they had locked me out and said the reason was I had to use a U-haul purchased lock. I will NEVER use U-haul again for anything until that changes. Your policy sucks!

I was charged for a storage that I was told by the manager that I would not have to pay the the storage that I was moved from and then I was charged for a dolly that I never received and also the manager told me that he would take care of and didn't. So I would never recommend this Uhaul or storage. HORRIBLE

My overall subpar experience at this location can be approved with a better hiring profile. The staff that I've had the most unfortunate interaction with, don't seem to have graduated high school or barely skated by. I understand various unpredictable emotions have been promoted due to the pandemic. However, basic friendly (even if it's fake) communication is so lacking with the staff I've interacted with handling my storage needs. When I first arrived to this location after a lovely drive from Dallas, Texas (with my 6' x 12' Van Trailer attached to my Kia Sportage - contract # 23023104), Alicia Mitchell made a clerical error with my return date. No biggie, it can be resolved and the $80 overcharge was later refunded. My contact person's name was entered incorrectly because Alicia didn't bother to confirm the information. I understand it can be slightly difficult to understand someone who's wearing a mask, if you don't care to try. I'm an epidemiologist and I work in hospitals where we communicate clearly with masks on, while tending to patients lives. She could have turned her screen for me to view the information and confirm its accuracy, or printed out a document to confirm with me but, that's the past. Again, no biggie, but she failed to confirm my access code number. That long drive from Dallas by myself was quite taxing. Here I am ready to unload all my stuff, just need to open the door. But here's Alicia complicating a simple procedure that kindergarteners can do with ease. The issue was later resolved. My last interaction with the staff at this location finally came September 4, 2020. Contract 788052-117382 for all the deets. I had the utmost displeasure to be served by Zaria Johnson. She asked how she could help me and for my name. She located me in her computer and asked me if I knew I had to be there by 12pm. I told her, "no, I just flew in". She replies, "oh you flew here, from where?". Perplexed, not understanding the relevance of this; I tell her "Virginia". She continues, "Oh well you were suppose to be here by 12pm". I chuckle while saying, "well I got here when I got here" and I shrugged my shoulders (It's about 3pm at the time). She directs me to where I can pull my car to, and I remind her (because paying attention is seemingly not a requirement in the hiring profile for the employees I interacted with), that I don't have a car, I have a unit here. Which she should have seen in her system when she located me, but Zaria doesn't do well with paying attention. If she had, she should have been able to conceptualized that I was emptying out unit 1313, transporting those items to the U-Box and moving it to Virginia. Subsequently, she would have informed me that once I empty out my storage unit, utilize that same lock to lock my U-Box when I'm finished. But! That didn't happen. I was not informed I needed to lock the U-Box. When she walked me and my brother to the U-box (after, I suppose, her attempt to chastising me for being "late", not sure - didn't ask didn't care, fresh off the plane and we had a full storage unit to empty; in the 90 degree heat as we walked to their garage, where Zaria showed us where the U-Box is), she removed the velcored tarp from the box, opened the box and said here you go and went back inside. No instructions. No "come back inside to check out or be sure to do this", nothing no instructions whatsoever. So when I received a voice message from the manager Michael Brown the following day - after I returned back home to Virginia, that my U-Box needed a lock, I just knew these mini property managers that work here do not have the proper hiring profile to do this job successfully. I will say that Michael Brown was very attentive and patient when listening to me about my experience with his staff. To remedy the issue with the lock, he provided a lock free of charge for the U-Box, and I made arrangements for the key to be delivered to me. I appreciate him for this and for acknowledging the bad customer service that he wasn't pleased to hear about. It should come as no surprise that I will never return to this location, and even though I live in Virginia, I will most definitely tell others not to come here - if they can avoid it.

Overall it was ok. Too expensive!. Customer Service needs to be revaluation, you have some good pearls, Andrew is a great Customer Service person, but they have some very young girls that aren’t good at all. They spend more time in there personal phone, & ignoring customers in line. It used to be a great place before,!
