The gas needle on the truck did not work so I feel I was cheated as far as the fuel also I did not use the miles that they indicated that I used the young man that took the truck from us was not very nice but Tovoris was very nice and professional I didn't get the other guy's name I wish I did though because he was very rude thank you very much to Tovoris I wish all the other employees could have a nice pleasant sense of humor and professionalism as you as for the guy that record my mileage I'm not happy at all with him and I might go back up there and get his name and email it to your corporate officeLazandzen L.

I can't remember his name but His First name starts with a T. He is a Black American with a heavy build . This guy was unbelievably Awesome with customer service and just his humility. The Van on the other hand was infested with roaches I do have a video of it if you'd like to see it ( I will not post it or show it to anyone it was just in case you needed proof) it did drive well and it did serve us our purpose so overall it was a good experience just prioritize cleanliness in between customers use because if not for the actual customer service this would have been a really bad experience. The truck we rented smelled like dead bodies, they needed the truck back when we needed to extend, they were not able to make accommodations. This location as always had off and on poor customer satisfaction. You cannot expect great service here unless you are just as rude as them. My husband and I just closed on our first home about 1.30 hrs away from Miami. I went to U-Haul the day we were moving out of our apt as I rented a 6'x12' trailer to help save some money (instead of renting a full truck and having to pay for gas). I've used U-Haul for all my previous moves and knew they were the company I wanted to use for my final move into our new home. I was so excited the night before and had our SUV packed and ready to go get the trailer. I got their on Friday 4/1 early in the morning and their associate Chris helped attached the trailer. He had me sit in the car to test that the lights were working however they did not. So he had to replace the wire with another one. He had me test it again and said I was good to go (mind you I cannot see the lights myself since I'm sitting in the drivers seat doing the test for him). I drove from Broward to our apt, load our last few items and then head to our storage unit (which is on the 2nd floor) to load the final items. The sun is starting to set (along with rain clouds coming in) and my husband meets me at storage so we can begin the drive up north. However, I got stopped on the turnpike by a state trooper. He says my trailer lights are not working and I cannot drive without them. It could cause an accident since my turn signals and brake lights were not working and a driver could slam into me or worse. Thinking that they just need to switch the wires again, my husband and I drive back to U-Haul and it begins to rain. At this point we just want this fixed so we can get on the road (our cold food is in my SUV along with the trailer containing all our possessions). A U-Haul employee (not Chris) came out to inspect the car and tries to change the wire with a new one and it's still not working. It's about 17:50 now and they close at 20:00. At this point the manager Chuck comes out an inspects our fuses in the SUV and it's fine. So he concluded it must be an issue with the trailer. He tells me that the best he can do is have us leave the trailer (filled with our things) at their lot and come back tomorrow morning so his mechanic can take a look at it. Literally my heart sunk and I tried not to cry; we have no where to go and we weren't going to drive 1.30 hrs to the house with all our belongings still down in SoFl and come back down the next morning. It's also spring break on a Friday night, how were we supposed to find a hotel? And a safe one to just leave our cars filled with TVs, computers, ect out in the open? He said he would reimburse us for the hotel and repair the trailer free of charge (even though it's their trailer and we shouldn't be responsible for the repair). He locked our trailer and disconnected it from our SUV and told us to come back tomorrow.After calling around, we finally found a hotel last minute and head over. We have none of our personal items (medications, contact cases, toothbrushes, shampoos, body soap) easily available to get since our trailer is now at the U-Haul lot. All our cold food has now spoiled and had to be tossed. We barely slept because we were worried about our items and I slept with my contacts in my eyes. All our clothes were wet from the sweat and rain from the day. It was probably one of the lowest points of our home buying journey. And soured our first-time homeowner experience. My husband and I are extremely disappointed in U-Haul. There are really no words to describe the deep disappointment we feel right now. I don't have confidence that their associate 100% made sure the lights worked to begin with, were behind schedule, and had to toss all food that I will now need to buy from scratch (on top of everything else I have to do to get the home up and running before we started work on Monday). I give 1 extra star for Chuck because he was very nice and helpful throughout this whole ordeal. I can tell he does care about customers.Eviana D.

Make sure that each trailer you rent has the dimensions that are listed online, so that renters don't get to their destination and discover the trailer is not big enough. You did refund my money for the undersize trailer you rented me (and didn't charge me for having to leave the trailer in Bunnel), and your regional guy refunded my money for the expensive 1 way trailer I was forced to rent in Bunnel. The first person who helped me was obviously having a terrible day, because she had a hissy fit and actually walked away from her post and left me standing there. I advised an employee that the unit has been emptied and the lock has been removed. I have continued to be charged for the unit for the last 3 months and now they have sent it to collections. I have tried time and time again to contact the facility but have been unsuccessful in getting ahold of them. I have been forwarded to a call center and they stated they have left messages and that they would get ahold of me and they never did. I am extremely unhappy with these services. I've used U-Haul storage three different times and have been completely satisfied with their service each time. I made the mistake of using a cheaper alternative to U-Haul and lost thousands of dollars of artwork when the roof leaked during a heavy rain. That was a costly mistake that I won't make again. The only thing I would suggest is to maybe provide an option for people to assist the movers in unpacking id needed an for the workers to either say yes or no to get an additional pay or tips. I needed one person to assist me in unpacking but the employees were not allowed to assist. I would not mind paying additional cost. The area I wanted was not accessible for the furniture I wanted and no other space was provided by management . This was overall a disaster. Because no space was available, no space was available and accessible, I had to immediately had to go to Salvation Army to get rid of furniture. I lost $3,000 in furniture. The manager at facility called other Uhaul location, but the answer was the same. No space available. Betty was extremely friendly. I wish there was more to say in that regard however, the other women working the front had more than enough attitude to go around. I was rudely yelled at about wearing a mask when entering in spite of two employees who were walking around and through the store repetitively not wearing one. And in spite of the mandate being lifted. During my initial opening of the storage unit and return of the Uhaul the women I was dealing with was grumpy and seemed distracted. I was charged for a storage that I was told by the manager that I would not have to pay the the storage that I was moved from and then I was charged for a dolly that I never received and also the manager told me that he would take care of and didn't. My overall subpar experience at this location can be approved with a better hiring profile. The staff that I've had the most unfortunate interaction with, don't seem to have graduated high school or barely skated by. I understand various unpredictable emotions have been promoted due to the pandemic. However, basic friendly (even if it's fake) communication is so lacking with the staff I've interacted with handling my storage needs. When I first arrived to this location after a lovely drive from Dallas, Texas (with my 6' x 12' Van Trailer attached to my Kia Sportage - contract # 23023104), Alicia Mitchell made a clerical error with my return date. No biggie, it can be resolved and the $80 overcharge was later refunded. My contact person's name was entered incorrectly because Alicia didn't bother to confirm the information. I understand it can be slightly difficult to understand someone who's wearing a mask, if you don't care to try. I'm an epidemiologist and I work in hospitals where we communicate clearly with masks on, while tending to patients lives. She could have turned her screen for me to view the information and confirm its accuracy, or printed out a document to confirm with me but, that's the past. Again, no biggie, but she failed to confirm my access code number. That long drive from Dallas by myself was quite taxing. Here I am ready to unload all my stuff, just need to open the door. But here's Alicia complicating a simple procedure that kindergarteners can do with ease. The issue was later resolved. My last interaction with the staff at this location finally came September 4, 2020. Contract 788052-117382 for all the deets. I had the utmost displeasure to be served by Zaria Johnson. She asked how she could help me and for my name. She located me in her computer and asked me if I knew I had to be there by 12pm. I told her, "no, I just flew in". She replies, "oh you flew here, from where?". Perplexed, not understanding the relevance of this; I tell her "Virginia". She continues, "Oh well you were suppose to be here by 12pm". I chuckle while saying, "well I got here when I got here" and I shrugged my shoulders (It's about 3pm at the time). She directs me to where I can pull my car to, and I remind her (because paying attention is seemingly not a requirement in the hiring profile for the employees I interacted with), that I don't have a car, I have a unit here. Which she should have seen in her system when she located me, but Zaria doesn't do well with paying attention. If she had, she should have been able to conceptualized that I was emptying out unit 1313, transporting those items to the U-Box and moving it to Virginia. Subsequently, she would have informed me that once I empty out my storage unit, utilize that same lock to lock my U-Box when I'm finished. But! That didn't happen. I was not informed I needed to lock the U-Box. When she walked me and my brother to the U-box (after, I suppose, her attempt to chastising me for being "late", not sure - didn't ask didn't care, fresh off the plane and we had a full storage unit to empty; in the 90 degree heat as we walked to their garage, where Zaria showed us where the U-Box is), she removed the velcored tarp from the box, opened the box and said here you go and went back inside. No instructions. No "come back inside to check out or be sure to do this", nothing no instructions whatsoever. So when I received a voice message from the manager Michael Brown the following day - after I returned back home to Virginia, that my U-Box needed a lock, I just knew these mini property managers that work here do not have the proper hiring profile to do this job successfully. I will say that Michael Brown was very attentive and patient when listening to me about my experience with his staff. To remedy the issue with the lock, he provided a lock free of charge for the U-Box, and I made arrangements for the key to be delivered to me. I appreciate him for this and for acknowledging the bad customer service that he wasn't pleased to hear about. It should come as no surprise that I will never return to this location, and even though I live in Virginia, I will most definitely tell others not to come here - if they can avoid it.Laura N. | Overall Experience

The parking lot is way too crowded. I had a drive up unit that was always blocked by Uhual equipment. It was very difficult to maneuver through the parking lot, in order to load and unload- I had to keep moving my car to allow people by. For the month rental, I may have actually driven up to my unit a total of two times.
