My mistake for not asking. Could have used a ramp to load the van. Maybe if opportunity to ask what is being loaded and suggest items to assist with transfer of goods. Boxing and packaging was suggested. I have only rented twice from Uhaul, system is pleasant and easy to access and return. Hamilton remodel is excellent.LIANAL U.

Employee inside was not wearing a mask while taking down my info and credit card info. They were also rude to me in the parking lot. To improve, Employees could wear masks while inside. It makes for an extremely uncomfortable experience inside U-Haul and makes me think that sanitation is not a big priority with this company. Very unfortunate.James C.

While picking up the van, the fuel tank was not full. I advised the staff who advised to record all the details through a link which I didn't receive due to network issue. They suggested to take photos and show as a proof upon return. I drove the van about 50kms and as I wasn't sure how much fuel to put I googled how much fuel van needed based on kms so I did my best. The guy who processed the return didn't even try to understand my point and charged me $10 on top. $10 isn't a big deal but not listening to some logical explanation is.MUKESH T.

I had a very bad service experience with U-Haul yesterday(Wednesday 12/15/2021). I was charged an additional $20 for off hour return which was not mentioned during the booking. I specifically asked if there is anything i should be aware of the rep said nothing just drop the truck at the green canopy and return the keys by the door. Called in to check the additional charge but rep said they cant waive it off as its part of their policy... Please note I had booked it for 24 hours so I had until 6:15 PM today (Thursday). Had I been informed about the off hour return, I would have have returned it next day. Note: Be more careful with the hidden charges and ofcourse you need to read through their policy everytime. You never know when they might change it.Sumeet S.

I was shocked that U-Haul sneaked in some $20 fee for returning the van early so they could have vans to rent next morning. In 25 years this is the first time someone charged $20 for returning a car or van after hours. It's not right. Need my 20$ back. ¡Gracias!Mariusz P.

UHaul never lets you down. Was about to get a cargo within 30 mins. And called the nearby location in Barton St. And right away they reserved me a cargo Can I needed and boom within 30 mins. If a truck is 5 hours late, you should not tell a customer that you can't give them a discount because they should be grateful that you drove three hours to get them a truck when it wasn't their fault that it wasn't there. I was super polite and had my reservation changed 3 times, and then I drove their twice and still had to wait over an hour for my truck. I originally was told I would get a 26ft at no extra cost because they didn't have a truck available and then even though they had a 26ft and 30ft on site they made me wait for them to drive and get a different one. I explained I was driving to Sudbury which is 4-5 hours away and didn't want to drive at night in the snow; because of this we had to leave a day later. It was completely inconvenient and ridiculous. Not once did I yell and I was completely understanding and the front desk lady I first talked to was amazing and she even gave me the 20.00 off she could because she couldn't give more and the owner wouldn't want to talk to me after driving to get my truckâ€¦ absolutely baffling. It also isn't my fault. I run two businesses I can't imagine running my business this way. Completely disrespectful and entitled. It's your job to make sure I have a truck, I am grateful but don't make it seem like I shouldn't be upset because I still didn't get it when I was promised, pretty sure that's gas lighting. I hope we get the 50.00 reservation guarantee because If not I will absolutely be making sure to tell every person I know to never use this location ever; business or residential related.BRITNEYEVELYN AR H.

I reserved a room and it was not available when I got there! Was offered another one which unbeknownst to me was more money! Paid for it and 3 days later got a letter stating I was late on payment and would have to pay a late fee! Went in and was told not to pay as I already had and that the company does this all the time! Received another notice maybe a week later stating the same! Was told by counter person (who was friendly) that it was NOT the correct price and to not pay. At the start of next month I received another letter stating same price, so I went in and was told by the same person he would talk to manager and see about getting the price I was quoted on the internet. I was told by him that if the manager would not agree (which I was told NEVER HAPPENS) that I could move out and not be charged. A week later when I did not get a answer, and looked at my credit card statement I had already been charged! When I went to see what's up, I had the unpleasant experience of meeting the manager one (Colin Reese) who was nothing like any of the other people who worked there. He was rude, ignorant and unwilling to listen. His only and final answer was that (I was wrong, and that's that!) I told him I was not happy and would leave a review. His words were I DON'T CARE! DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO! For sure do not go to this place, but if you must definitely don't deal with the manager as you will get nowhere!Clint L. | Overall Experience

My rating is average because I was told my unit was being demolished and would have to move ASAP. I arrived at 3pm and talked to office. I was told they were transferring me in a U-box and would get one delivered to my storage unit. After about 30 minutes the guy drove up saying they were just figuring out what they are doing and would just be a little while longer. After 2 hours of waiting I went back into the office to find out what was going on. The guy called his boss and was told they are moving me to another unit not a U-box. I was told the first month was free but I needed to pay the 18.00 insurance fee. I had forgot my wallet but need to come in to pay my other unit in a couple of days. I had to then go back unpack my truck of the things I was bring home and repack with the boxes to move into the new unit. I received an email a couple of days ago saying that there was a 15.00 late fee on thec18.00. After being left sitting for over 2 hours you people are trying to charge me a late fee on 18.00 this is ridiculous.SANDRA E. | First Impressions
