This location rented me a truck with no catalytic converter. Not being a car guy, I didn't think much of it and thought maybe it was a diesel or just poorly maintained, and I wasn't going far. They then charged me $2300 and accused me of stealing it. Even though I have shown it would be physically impossible for me to have removed it, the GM seems to have no interest in finding out who actually removed it, which probably happened on the lot.

I purchased a shipping box package for $49.95. I was told by the service rep that if they were any boxes unused without the broken tab that I could return them for a refund. When I tried to return them I got conflicting stories from multiple employees and at the end of the day I was not given a refund as I was told when I purchased them. One person even contradicted himself during the conversation . Therefore I will never use your company again nor will I ever refer your company. And if anyone ever asks me about my experience at you all I will definitely tell them of the poor service I received.

Ensure the key is in a lock box as indicated. Upon arrival, no key or lock box was in the truck as promised. I had to wait until the store opened. They forget to put the key in the truck. This added more stress to my already stressful day. I'll think twice about using U-Haul again.

My only comment would be the long lines and no physical distancing measures in place, or maybe I missed them. Lines seem to move well people were able to pick up there assigned truck in less than 10mins.

Never trust the price they give you. I wanted a car to haul my things to kitchener and wanted to drop the Car in Kitchener, I was told that option was not available but the price can be adjusted and a price was given to me. When I came to drop the van, I was told I have gone above the millage and had to pay full price for driving the car back to Hamilton. This is a rip off and cheat! I had to bring the car to a location of thier choice and paid the full price for a trip that will benefit them! Bad experience, I won't recommend this location to anybody!! I feel down for this rip off!!! Never again!

It wasn't identified to me if the interior of the cabin (steering wheel, dash, etc.) had been wiped down since the last user. It occurred to me as I was driving away so I hoped it was.

When I went to the rental centre it was difficult to find a customer parking area. I had to park in the back but there were no doors to bring you to the customer rental area. While there is signage at the west side of the building indicating customer service parking it could not be accessed as the curb was blocking all but a few spots. I enquired at the service counter about where to park as I had parked where trucks park at the front. It would be helpful to note that parking in the back should be used and to walk South up Nash to the front doors. My other comment is to use the on-line registration reservation function on the web site. The entire on-line experience was perfect. Thank you, A

Contactless pick-up was a fail... took 45 minutes to get truck, and ultimately had to go inside and stand in line. The only explanation was that I must have taken the picture of my DL in portrait view rather than landscape view (ie, held phone upright instead of on its side to take the pic). Ne explanation was offered on the pick-up link and no reply when I tried to "chat". Once I had the truck, had to wait for others to pick up and drop off, as I was blocked in. Then had to wait to get dollies and blankets. In all, lost over an hour of my day trying to get the truck and accessories. Truck was fairly clean, worked well. Dollies were fine, blankets clean. Return was easy and quick but still had to go inside (since my contactless pick up was abandoned).

Be clear about the times for pick up. First it was super challenging to just reach that rental centre on the phone. Almost impossible. Went there in person to ask if my truck was ready. They told me they would call me when it's the case. They never called me. I waisted many hours waiting for them. This is the last time I do business with Uhaul.

I reserved a 15ft truck weeks in advance for a Nov 1 pickup time at 10am at your Upper Wellington facility. To be told by the young man behind the counter my truck was not there. I had a bunch of family and friends waiting at my storage shed for me. This young man told me my truck wasn't returned yet and he would have to send me somewhere else. I said when I booked online there was a $50 guarantee my truck would be there at the facility, which is was not. When I asked about it, he said he was still gonna get me a truck but it would have to be at another facility. I said the truck was guaranteed to be at this facility. Needless to say, I was pretty furious having to go out of my way to drive to another facility while my family and friends were waiting for me to bring the truck. I got the truck at the Barton facility and they were pretty pleasant trying to accomdate my need for a 15ft truck immediately. But because my initial reservation was at another facility they couldn't credit me the $50 to the truck at their facility and I would have to call a number to explain it to someone else (which I know I won't get my $50 from). The workers at the Barton and Nash were much more pleasant then they ignorant workers at the Upper Wellington facility. I think my next rental will be with another company as my check in for 10am for a guaranteed truck turned out to be me driving to another facility to get a truck and finally heading to my destination an 90 minutes later after all the paperwork was completed. Earlier in the month of had put all my belongings into a U-Haul storage shed and got a run around as well. Three days before my truck pickup U-Haul called me explaining my 15ft truck was in an accident and they only had vans for rent for that day. I ended up having to drive all the way to Burlington and to be stick with a 10ft truck and much more mileage due to having to return it there as well. I am not very impressed with the service of your company. If you tell a customer a truck will be there and it's not, you should have a shuttle service to bring a worker to go get one to bring to that facility instead of making the customer drive all over the city to get it. And please hire better workers. The workers at the Upper Wellington facility were ignorant, left me waiting behind a desk for 20 minutes to do god knows what, and had no idea of the $50 reservation guarantee policy. Just so disappointed and expected better service. I will never deal with your company ever again!

Truck was old and very worn out. Kind of sad because there was a brand new one on site that they didn't even rent out and it sat there all day without being used, I guess they have to drive the old one into the ground till they will let anyone use the new ones.....

The dash board stated the Ford F150 needed an oil change and the right front tire was deflated. I was not advised that I needed to login to an app when I returned the truck or be charged an extra fee. Overall, the experience I get from this U-Haul location is to rip the customer off with substandard service.

I opted to do the mobile check in. When we arrived to pick up the truck, I went through all the steps but still had to go inside and wait in line to get the keys. When I questioned this, the girl at the counter had some attitude and seemed exasperated that I was even asking. When we returned the truck, the next day, it was the same thing ... did the mobile check in, but the key box outside was taped off and there was a sign posted to go inside to drop off keys. Why advertise the convenience of skipping the line with mobile checkin if that's not actually An option?

Usually the equipment is I very good condition, I'm sure it was a rare oversight that the trailer l, this time was not. I spoke to the gentleman accepting returns about my concerns and he seemed to genuinely care and said they would address my concerns for the next customer.

Staff didn't care about my concern with the billing. They could even explain it correctly to me. They seemed to be high. The truck smelt of marijuana. They couldn't even bother to really help a person looking to replace his hitch ball. The team here was pathetic. I some how doubt that any type of sanitation procedure s were being followed with COVID 19. If this was my team they would be all unemployed. I had a confirmed reservation in Burlington and the trailer was never returned that I waited 2 hours for and then I was sent to Barton over 60k out of my way - very bad experience

I voiced my complaints and have sent an email with regards to the condition of the equipment that i rented. The truck was very dirty inside I actually had to spend my own time cleaning it. I asked for a different truck and all the pickup trucks they had available were in worse condition than the one I was renting. I was hoping for some sort of refund back onto my credit card to rectify this issue. With this pandemic still active I am surprised that these trucks were in such bad condition. I was under the impression that businesses were supposed to follow sanitary precautions. Please let me know if a refund is possible thanks. Marietta

We ordered a 15 foot truck with an appliance dolly, specifically to move a heavy piano. When picking up the truck, we double checked and confirm with the workers that the dolly was in the truck. We drove 1.5 hours to pick up the piano, and opened the truck to find there was no dolly. We had to then drive out of our of our way to find something to help us move this piano, drive back and lift it by hand into the truck. We then drove back, then an extra 20 minutes out of the way to go back to Uhaul to pick up the dolly since the whole reason we went to Uhaul was for the dolly in order to be able to carry a standup piano up 1.5 flights of stairs. Drove 20 minutes back to unload the piano, then 20 minutes back to Uhaul to drop the truck off. Overall we drove an extra 1.5 hours which is not cheap on gas or mileage fees. Upon delivering this story, the very nice gentleman helping went to get his boss. His boss came out, didn't even look at me or say hello, he just said “Just give her $30 off” and left for the day. I was shaking at the incredible disrespect and blatant sexism from this man. It felt like he might as well have said “Give her $30 to shut her up.” And $30 doesn't even cover half of the gas, not to mention mileage. The nice young man helping me was able to increase that to $60 off but there was nothing else he could do since his boss left for the day. $60 didn't even cover the gas. Our bill was still $235, and we were still charged for the dolly. My partner hurt his back from having to lift the piano without it. Never been so disappointed and enraged at the treatment I received.

Mice infested, staff couldn’t care less about our concerns, Store Manager did not return our phone calls despite numerous calls made and messages left. Some of our belongings were damaged (carpet) and no one bothered to help nor provide some sort of compensation. Will never use uHaul again for any kind of service. Every facility may have its challenges however, customer service is extremely important and no one seemed to care. Perhaps further training is required with this location staff. If there is still no further follow up after this review, further reviews will be made available online including evidence (pictures taken).

The person that was working should not have been working they didn't seem like they wanted to be at work I asked for a lower unit I have a lot of items to put in the storage I waited 40 minutes to get served once I obtained my key I went around the facility to enter my unit and realized it was on the top level I went back to say that the unit is not on the lower level and I was told that you couldn't do anything about it that I would have to go around the building and wait in line again after lugging in all my valuables onto a dolly from my vehicle into the facility and it was very frustrating therefore due to the attitude of the employee I decided to cancel and I did not go ahead with renting a storage unit from U-Haul however I did use the truck for that day to bring my valuables and stored items to another facility however the vehicle rental division as always was excellent but your staff on Barton Street is very young and they don't want to be there when you work somewhere you have to take pride in your job and make the people feel welcome and listen to the people when they are making requests because we the customers are the ones who grow your business to a large successful business that you are today

Charges were fair and affordable. It was advantageous to have longer-term storage of the u-boxes available. We noticed some evidence of minor water drops on some furniture.
