The space inside was huge, but only one person at a time could enter. It was freezing rain, snow and very windy. We had to line up outside. No system to take a number or sit in your car until called. As I had just gone for my vaccination, I was wearing a t-shirt under my coat. It was freezing. It's been long enough with this pandemic situation, you should improve your customer waiting situation. As well, your van smelled of cigarettes.

First I couldn't book anything online tried 3 times and then called, 40 min. gave up tried again gave up next day could book. They booked for the wrong time, then kocstion changed at the location two kids didn't know how to put a business name in bill. Tried to tell me stupid things. Finally a women 40 years showed up and fixed the problem. Only nice and good experience Sue who attsched the trsiler to my car. What a gong show

So the trailer I picked up had incorrect tire pressure. 65psi on the driver side but only 40psi on the passenger side. I corrected the pressure after 150km of driving, didn't think to check the pressure immediately when I picked it up. It was good for the remainder of my trip, I checked to make sure the pressure held. This would have created a negative experience however I received great customer service when I returned the trailer. ¡Gracias!

I went in twice to speak to management about the gas tank. It was 1/8 full and I was charged for the entire tank despite taking pictures of the odometer and gas tank before leaving. I have had 5 great experiences with Uhaul in the past, this was the first extremely negative experience.

The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. They were having several technical issues that seemed beyond their control, but they were patient and good humoured about it. I have been to this location a few times and it is usually quite busy and the wait is often long. I prefer to go to other, smaller, locations for this reason.

Extremely upset by a female employee there who was over-the-top RUDE RUDE RUDE to us, especially my husband. Unfortunately we did not get her name, but it was at the Meridian Rd location. To make a long story short, She ordered us to come back later to speak to her manager because she was refusing to deal with us. My husband and I were having a PRIVATE conversation together questioning amongst ourselves, about our bill, and she interrupted our conversation (in front of other irate customers, who agreed with us) by telling us he was being rude and would refuse to help him. He was never once rude to her or directed our conversation to her. I wish I had her name because I myself would never hire such a disrespectful person, who belittles my husband in front of the entire store. And she was not quiet. I'm sorry, but customer service is everything to us, and we have always rented from UHaul for many many years, and have never experienced such rudeness. Then she put a complaint on our file, which prevented us from renting another 26' truck today, which was the ONLY truck available in the entire city. So we had to wait 2 hours on hold with UHaul to get this rectified finally. This almost ruined our day of moving because of her vengeance and childish retribution. We have huge thanks and appreciation for the gentleman who dealt with us on the phone and had this “complaint” deleted. The manager who ok'd the release said he would do it on one condition: that we never go back to Meridian Rd again to rent a truck. Deal! We will continue to rent from the 6th St SE location where we e always gone, with nothing but polite people there.

Trucks are in miles not kilometers so you get charged for over mileage and are not made aware of it. Truck I had had 1/8 tank of fuel returned if at 1/4 tank and was still charged for fuel top up. Charged me an additional $110 on top of what I already paid. Will be hiring movers next time

I had expected and asked to have contactless pickup of equipment. What actually happened is that I was stuck waiting in line in an enclosed space for 30 minutes. While other customers, who did not have reservations, some of whom were not wearing masks, were served ahead of me. I am a caregiver for my wife who is high risk for complications should she contract Covid 19. This was Not OK. At All.

Pickup location employees were unbelievably slow and lazy (online check is more painful so I had to come in to the branch). They did not have a dolly that I requested and just shrugged off the issue - I had to push until they called another location to check. Drop off was interesting as well - I drove past a large line of empty trucks and was asked why I was in the drop off zone vs end of "the lineup". The only reason I rent through uhaul is because there is no alternative. For the amount of money they charge one could expect at least something that resembles service.

We had the 1 ton for only 3 hours if that. It cost $70 plus $20 for gas. I complained and got nowhere. They said the truck was full. We hardly went very far and it took 20 buck to fill. What is the $19.00 for in the first place. I can not believe the price of this. I would like to be called and to discuss..

Keep the website up to date. For example, website offers 24 hours rental, but agent calling, there is no 24 hour rental. Also It seems the different location drops of is also not working. When you change one of the location both location changes the same.

With systems down last week it threw off my move n then trailer that was given to me the tires were bare threaded l had to drive though the mountains scared the daylights out of me .went to uhaul in Creston guy at the store there couldn't help me so l phoned road side assistance .So wasted whole day which again threw me behind another day.I have a truck rented next week which l am going to cancel.l am done with dealing with u haul .The guys that put trailer on and the one who took it off we're very nice..But rest of the experience was not pleasant at all .I will never rent from uhaul again nor will l ever suggest it to anyone .l have dealt with uhaul quit often.and l have recommended it to family n friends that will not happen again after this past week .I got no discount l got no apologies for the set backs nothing now that's bad customer services n one that has cost you a customer n bad reviews

The van that I got needs to have a wheel alignment. You had to have the steering 45 degrees to the left in order for it to go straight. if you put the steering wheel straight the van would go to the right.

Kristen was amazing in checking me in on time. She was super helpful as she made sure my swipe card worked for self storage as I was having trouble with it at check in. She was super friendly and cared about completing my check in so I could have my hired movers get started right away without wasting any time. There was another tall gentleman(don't remember his name) inside the self storage facility as well who was super friendly and helped us with any questions we had regarding storage and our container. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for moving trucks and storage and would use this same place again if required.

Our U-Haul Van was behind another one, and we could not get out for 30 minutes. The person who was in front of us was taking his time doing the checks, which is fine. But it made us be late 30 minutes for our move. Because of this, the experience was not as good as it could of been I recommend you guys move around the vans better so we can easily pick up and go. It was impossible to go because we had to wait for the van in front of us to be completed as well. Besides that, everything was great. Easy check out process. Check in was good because not many people.

Worst experience at Meridian Barlow trail. On top of that I still received an invoice after the fact that I had check out from my free one way moved a month ago. I check with U haul why I am being charge and they couldn't figure out why I am still being charge. They can see my account has been closed a while back. They call Barlow location in Calgary where I rented and she was told that they didn't know I had checked out a month ago so they decided to charge me for rental plus a delinquent fee.

Stored my motorcycle  here in Calgary coming from BC, wasn't informed that fluids have to be drained before storage, had to drain leftover fluids out in the cold -26 degrees, besides that everything was awesome! Staff was friendly.

When reserved storage I did not know I was being quoted US currency rates. When I reserved for mover I was told I would only be charged for the hours I used, I did not. When I call the local number for Calgary I never actually spoke to a local representative, I ended up being transferred to a call centre.

Often the swipe card machine didn't work saying error or it didn't work when it was below 7 degrees or windy. The front sliding doors weren't unlocked on time and the garage doors often weren't unlocked by mid morning. Found ourselves constantly going to the office to get things taken care of. Big time waster. I hope I never have to store anything again for it's inconvenient

I appreciated having access to moving carts. it would have been nice for there to be some sort of supervision as people were using more than one cart and there were none left which delayed my ability to move stuff out of my unit. Staff is friendly however they need to work on their accesses I haven't been able to get into my locker with my card or code since I got it, I've always had to go to the desk tell them they tell me its a error with their system and there's nothing they can do so just sit there and let the alarm go off. So if somebody broke into my unit they'd just assume it was me and I pay 150 a month and I can only access my locker during store hours and thats it. This has made the move in process very very very hard

In the short time, I was a Uhaul customer (for storage space), I found the facility clean, better than average rates, and the staff were very helpful. The only drawbacks were the long wait times for customer care (by phone) and I also found that the storage rate no longer fit my budget. You're not asking the right questions. Your location is fine... but uhaul has horrible customer service over the phone and I will NEVER EVER support the company in any way (storage, trailer moving vehicle) if I can at all help it. I find it sad because the people working at the physical location a1re really wonderful.. its just the company I have a problem with. I spent countless hours on the phone being given incorrect information with very unfriendly tones. Thanks to Jake and the other staff on location.

Your rental vehicle has demands I do not need at a regular rental agency. Even after having stored and paid on time my rent for my storage unit for almost a year and a half, your employee refused to honour my rental reservation made online after not providing her with more then 2 numbers to contact me. So I had to go and rent at another rental location to pick up some of my items in the storage.

This is the worst customer service experience that I've ever had and I usually don't complain. It took months to resolve a minor issue because the location's manager didn't notate an agreement he and I made. It ended up making it difficult for anyone to assist me because they couldn't act on word of mouth. Please advise the location's manager to be diligent about making notes every time he speaks with a client. And also to have better communication.

Unfortunately I experienced a lot of miscommunication, and misunderstandings throughout. When I knew that we weren't going to make it in prior to closing, I phoned the storage facility to discuss options. I was informed on the phone that my father could check me in early, collect our pass and after hours access code, and that we could arrive and unload after hours. Upon arrival, my father was told this wasn't the case and we'd have to return the following morning. Had the information been communicated over the phone when we called, we would've altered our plans accordingly. The following morning, my reservation couldn't be retrieved. Apparently the system wasn't able to locate any reservations using confirmation numbers, and we needed to set up a new reservation. Once checked in, the facility is well maintained, and the process fairly straight forward.

More staff would have been helpful - 1 h waiting in line, with sometimes only one person having to handle all the customers ( And that at 9 am at the proposed pickup time); Also - don't see point of onlinecheckin, which we did, if check-in for uhaul and storage still takes over 1/2 h at thecounter. But on the other hand: courteous and helpful staff at checkin - storage manager Even took time out from her busy schedule to show us the facilities, which were clean and well maintained. Overall- quite good experience despite wait time! Thanks.

I was promised a drive up storage unit on my initial call. They put me at the far end of the building which added 3hours to the move, so far, and probably another 3 hours on the way out. The guy at the front said he would give me 24 hour access but the swipe cards did not work. When we saw the storage, we knew it would be difficult to fit the 26' trucks belongings into it, so the we told the Afterhours lady and her suggestion was to "pack better". We had to stack items do we could climb because I'm not 12' tall. The $10 lock they threw in does not make up for the nonsense that I endured. If there was any other option, I would be using it. Not once during truck pick up or storage, did an employee leave their seat to help me.

From having to travel an extra 3 hours on my moving day to pick up a trailer in the opposite direction- to the business being closed and had to go to another location. I love everything about your business, except the parking lot. The entire process was great until I got to the actual move in. I arrived in the loaded van (I rented from you) to find the parking lot jammed with a tracker-trailer various sizes of moving trucks, vans, and trailers. It was bedlam. You have to wait to load in, in a long line of people returning equipment? That's not efficient. When I drove around the end of the building to access the storage facility from there, we had to get out of the van and move your trailers out of the way to be able to get through. Your staff is fantastic 100%. Your entry process and parking lot are a gong show 20%. Your average is 60%. I will recommend your business, but I will make sure people know it's not easy to access (on busy days).

Only thing I didn't like is the door latch was tricky to open. Cut my hand once. Probably should wear a glove when using the sliding latch. There is a technique to opening the door on my specific unit where you have to lift it slightly in order to open the latch but everything else was perfect.

My unit was blocked 90% of the time I was there by trucks or trailers, then when the snow hit, and started to melt it froze my door shut, to which they then tried to open my door with a fork lift and put a hole in it!
