Call center told me there was plenty of pickup trucks available. When I arrived at the store less than 30 minutes later I was told none were available in the entire city. Had to rent a cargo van instead that was covered in tire rub and not cleaned before the rentalCHRISTOPHER N.

There was some waiting, but only 2 people working. The truck had 140,000+ miles and the shifter didn't always want to go in drive, but in the end it did everything I asked of it. The people were courteous there, and that put a positive on it.ROBIN M.

we rented the truck 8 in the morning, we move a twin bedroom., and 2 hours later we return the truck, we put gasoline as a gift because we did not drive more than 10 miles. We paid $64, and i was in shock. This was very expensive, we just move a twin bedroom from one apt complex to another. No more Uhauls in my life. MariaJORGE C.

I placed my reservation for a 26' truck a month ahead of when I would be needing it. I was then told 2 days before the pick up location would be changed to a 45 minute drive from me. The next day I was told that truck was not available and had to drive 2 hours away to pick up the truck I needed (I did not live anywhere close to tucson but was willing to go that far in order to get the equipment I needed). 10 minutes away from the pick up location (couldn't call me sooner?) I was called and told there was no longer a 26' truck available so I had to accept a 20' truck but it did not provide enough space and I had to rent another truck to compensate for the lack of space (couldn't get a trailer because I was already pulling a vehicle transport). To get another driver I had to pay to bring someone in from out of state to help me drive the additional truck. Customer service was unwilling to help me compensate for the additional gas I was now going to have to pay because I now had to pay for two trucks instead of the one. This was not a problem brought on by me. Hal from the Tucson store was willing to help me out but after I tried to figure things out myself he turned sour and had an attitude towards me. I am not happy with the customer service (or lack there of) and not getting the equipment I reserved a month before. I understand there is an equipment shortage, but I placed a reservation so I did not have to deal with this and you would have enough time to make sure YOU could get the equipment where it needed to be.Taylor M.
Pest control could be better, with better door sealants in place. Opened it up and saw it became home to moths and crickets, which is hard to avoid, just think a better door for the unit could help. Had a trap inside for mice but wasn't sure how helpful it was.Serafina K. | Overall Experience
My reserved vehicle was not available. I had to get a larger, more expensive truck. The truck I got was in disrepair - the truck pulled to the left, and when loaded handled poorly. It was also dirty .RICHARD K.
Not enough mileage allowed for the trip. Going through the "short" way are many hairpin curves, 6-7% grades, actual mile-high drop offs, the lanes are narrow and slippery when wet, plus I was driving a moving van and pulling a car. That is not a safe trip under the circumstances. Use common sense, for the safety of your renters, increase the mileage to allow for a safe trip.SYLVIA B.

Was originally supposed to pick up 15 foot truck from U-Haul store in Catalina. On checkout I noted both driver side rear dual tires were bald and way beyond legal. As I was embarking on a long 3 day drive to Montana I refused the truck unless these 2 tires were replaced. The dealer got them replaced then when I drove away to go load I immediately noticed a severe rubbing sound coming from the left rear area of the truck. I returned to the center and had the vendor that replaced the tires return to check the tires. He found the rim on the inner dual tire to be bent and was rubbing on the mounting area of that tire. He switched out that tire and resolved the problem but I decided at that point to go to the other location noted above and get a entirely different truck as two problems was two too many to risk a third out on the road. When I inspected the other truck at the other location I noted a screw present in the right front tire. A different truck was available so I took that one. The third time was the charm as it worked well and got us to Montana. I did notice on the second day of travel while checking its tire inflation that the valve stem extender was very loose on the passenger side inner dual tire. I finger tightened it as I did not have a wrench and had no further issues. I think both locations need to step up their preventative maintenance surveillance before customers find problems first like I did.THEODORE R.

The check-in process for returning equipment is a nightmare: if there is any issue with the u-haul website, you will be unable to complete the return process & will be charged at least $20 more; if you try the helpline you will be on-hold for 30+ minutes without any service. Don't cancel a reservations hours before a truck is to be picked up. It was extremely stressful and in the end was resolved at the last dying minute. I absolutely will never use uhaul or recommend uhaul to friends. Honor your reservations. I had movers arriving before before even got my truck to move out of town. Buy more trucks or don't over book. Your customer service reps were the only saving grace of our experience with your company. They did the best they could and were very polite. My complaints are not towards the location I picked up from. I am only appalled that a reservation I made a month in advance was canceled via text at 8 pm the night before and I wasn't able to secure a truck till 5am the next day.ASHLEY H.

I complimented the Oracle Shop (Tucson AutoMall) on 9/2 as one of the best experiences I've had at a U-Haul location. I can tell this manager runs a tight ship. I was in and out in 15 minutes, which kept my day on-schedule. I hope this gentleman is recognized for his service to your company. The general manager (Hal) had a cocky, I don't care attitude. Like he was on power trip. When I asked him if they had a dumpster for the tenants to use, he said yes. But it'll cost ya $15. All I had were 2 boxes (that were torn-down/flattened), plus 1 (15 gallon) bag of garbage. For $15?? He told me if I didn't want to pay, I could dump it next store (in their dumpster). I thought, Wow, that ain't right!? Now, this is after I just spent $1400 on a 15' truck (plus another $450 in gas) to move across country. Only to find out when I arrived that all my stuff, at the back 5' of the truck...was all wet on the bottom. By the way...he acknowledged that. It's just the principal of the whole thing.
