When someone orders extra equipment and asks if it's with the vehicle make sure it's in the vehicle before you tell the customer yes and they leave the site to find they don't have their extra equipment and have to use the mileage they're paying for to come back and get the equipment and you don't even offer them compensation of some sort for the inconvenience

I think I was overcharged for what I received. I will be calling this location in the morning. The advertising is $19.99 for a pickup truck plus tax and insurance. Why did I have to pay over $115 for this rental. I’m not understanding the rates.

The service was outstanding and the vehicle was more then I anticipated but it was perfect for the job. Chevy Silverado was powerful and fast, caught me by surprise when first leaving the uhaul facility. This is the only location I use and currently have a truck set up for April 4th.

The staff was ok, not great. The tow dolly I was assigned was the oldest, most rusty piece of equipment on the lot. Came back to the office to make sure the car was secured in the dolly and the rep just glanced at the hook up and said it was ok.

Thought it was a joke when I returned it with 3/4 of fuel which is more then 5/8 of fuel. I still got charged for the 1.5 miles I went over. And I see if checked it in with 5/8 of fuel. He just said I’ll send you a receipt. That’s also not good. I’ll probably get a thanks for your review or something like that. Most of these fall on deaf ears.

I was told that I could drop this tow dolly at any U-Haul facility so I chose the closest one to my destination, upon arrival at 3101 Brombay St. Chesapeake VA I was told that they would not accept the tow dolly that I had to take it to a corporate facility. So away I go to 2855 Airline Blvd Ports Smith VA. When I got there the yard personnel acted as if it where a pain in the rear to help me, I had to back the dolly into the designated parking place and un-hook it myself. When I went inside to get a receipt for the return the General Manger was professional and courteous that was the only thing that kept me from loosing my cool! I would not recommend this experience to any of my friends. Allen Davenport

It should automatically be given a list of finds and charges when returning the vehicle. I contacted it but was not the driver. However, I put gas in the vehicle before returning it and it registered 1/2 full as required and I was still charged for gas. I called and was holding 50 minutes when I was told that someone would check it. never talked to that person. displeased about that.

Then at the dropoff site they were busy playing with their friends and texting on their phones and insulted me for being in a rush, saying oh you like to huff and puff and pace around, yes I do when I am an hour late for a job with 1 of my customers which cost me another $100, due to the ineptness of UHual employees! This was the worst experience i have ever had with any rental ever! I will not be usino UHual ever again, and I will be posting reviews to Google about this horrendous experience.

The door on my trailer is extremely difficult to open and got stuck frequently. I was using the trailer on a video shoot so I needed to access it Often so the door was especially troublesome.

Please make sure the storage unit availability is actually what is available. I had to drive to a partner storage facility only for it to be closed, wasting time, mileage, and fuel. When I finally got a unit at the UHaul storage facility, they would not match the rates I was given for the partner site.

Customer rep was on cell phone and had head down when she ultimately acknowledged me. After unsatisfactory explanation of cleaning charge, I was still speaking and she resumed cell phone usage with head down again, so I grabbed receipt and left. Unprofessional, rude, and discourteous act by emoyee.

it is a trend that has been on going for decades, instead of employees I have issues with, I do believe the poor service lies with the employer. Companies such as yours, will pay the lowest wages possible to fill a position. I don't need to elaborate more with what you get with the lowest wage workers. Instead, I suggest you hire someone with a 10% or better higher wages, and raise the standards of your customer service. I have had 2 transaction with this location, in the last 45 days, interactions with 5 different employees. Here is my take a way: to hook up a hitch, your employee is incompetent, while it was secured, it took 2 different employees to make it happen. 2. employee do not seems to really want to do the work, and attempt to find ways to hide behind "store policy" thats neither written on the wall or posted anywhere. More specifically, my ram 2500's tailgate is down, your employees have a problem attaching the hitch. The main reason was because he had little to no experience attaching the hitch, there is plenty of clearance, my 11 yo son can do the same thing without any extra help. Furthermore, your lady employee comes out to help me, while having a private phone conversation while she is attaching the hitch, couldn't fake a smile during the whole transaction to save her life. Additionally, you might want to suggest to your employees regards of any gender, long finger nails will hinder the process of attaching the hitch and should be discourage unless you are working by the monitor. Like me make a suggestion that you increase your wages to your employees that deals with customers. It won't hurt your bottom line that bad and you will ensure loyalty from your customers.

I had to pick up from a different location than the one I made my reservations with and it cost me by the mileage.

Used online to reserve a trailer to pickup and it said total 20.85 ok and got to uhaul and was about to pay and the guy at the place informed me that if I am paying cash I had to pay 60 dollars total not for any reason didn’t tell me why it was more or anything.

The customer service that I receive was not welcoming. It may have been because it was early in the morning. But still if you come to work no matter what time of the day the service should be a 100%. The guy that works in the lot to hook up your trailer was not helpful at all. I ask him a question, he seem like he didn't what to be bothered. He ring me up at the counter, I would ask him questions he seem like he tried to ignore me. At this point I feel like carrying my money elsewhere. Then when I finally got my rental it had a big sign in the window. I feel things like this should be pull out do to I may damage it and be healed responsible for it. I had to ride around with it in the rental. I did not want to carry it inside 1 it's not my job and 2 I had been rude to enough for today.

The truck had 111,000 miles on it and no features that I am usually accustomed to with uhaul trucks. I couldn't adjust the sideview mirrors. I couldn't listen to the radio because the volume didnt work.Ithe windows and doors were manual. They had ziptied a dolly and furniture pads to the back end of the truck. They got in the way during our move. The truck ran like crap and I was afraid it was going to breakdown. There was a small dime sized crack in the windshield. We called to see if we could pick up a few minutes early and they said that they had no trucks and couldn't provide one until 4PM exactly. We arrive at 4 and there were over 6 available in our size. We somehow ended job with the worst one. Customer service was lacking and the people were less than friendly.

Check engine light was on, on the vehicle rented by the customer before me, and then also on the vehicle I rented. The sales person said "don't worry about it, it's just a sensor" first to the gentleman before me, and then said the same to me. I told the sales person I was planning to put at least 200 miles on the vehicle, and asked if he was sure he wanted me to take a vehicle with the check engine light on. He shrugged his shoulders and nodded yes (there were plenty of other vehicles of the same type and size on this U-Haul lot). Also, the sales person marked the gas tank was full, but when I drove away, I noticed it was actually 7/8 full. I had to drive back and correct the situation.

You know i told myself i world give you guys one more chance. But as a military personnel, I’m going to use budget because they actually look out for us. I called the 1-800 number and they told me I would get 10% off my rental then was told they be lying and now i believe it. I will never recommend u/Haul to any military personnel. I don’t like being lied too.

It would be nice if staff was more friendly and out going, Both times I visited this location staff talked to each other and over customers in which creates an atmospheric feeling of not belonging there or perhaps just not understanding what in the world they are talking about or whom they are talking to.

After they switched our pick up location, everything went well. There was a bit of confusion when I walked in the store where I was sent by the worker Shana outside to another worker and then back inside where I was at first. Shana took good care of me once she figured out I was there to pick up. All is well that ends well!

The worst experience with a large company like Uhaul that I’ve ever experienced. My items were damaged and I got absolutely no help as to replacing my things and I got the run around from staff.
