The truck that we used did not have any dash illumination so when driving at night I could not see how fast I was going. I also had to turn the dome light on so I could see if I was in reverse or drive when trying to back up. Also the lights on the truck were very very dim and it was absolutely terrifying trying to drive on the highway at night to return the truck when I could barely see the road. On the side note The plugin on the dash shorted out my phone charger and I had to replace it.UDELE H.

The woman who checked me in knew what she was doing. She was very friendly and quick with alot of work on her table. When i checked in there were 8 trucks and trailers already in line and she was just whipping around taking care of everything on her own. I PCSd from Alaska to Colorado in the winter, single mom with 3 kids. The location in Fairbanks was great. I asked how to extend the rental if it took me longer to drive through Canada in the Rockies in the winter. He advised to just call the location I was to drop it off at and it would be no issue at all. As I came into the states a day before my contract was up I started received numerous rude and disrespectful phone calls wanting to know when I would be returning the trailer. I spoke to one gentleman and explained I need an additional few days. I told him I'd try for Sunday but more than likely need until 27 Dec. He told me that if I didn't turn it in on 24 Dec to keep it until 26 Dec for security reasons. I arrived in CO at 0700 on Christmas Eve. There was no way I could unload and return after driving all night. So on Christmas I unloaded so I could return. I had trash that I needed to throw away and weigh the setup empty for the military. Starting Sunday morning I received MULTIPLE phone calls telling me I had until 1300 to get it turned in. This date/time was not mentioned at any point in time prior. I explained I needed to find a dump and weigh the trailer and it was Sunday. They didn't care, their only concern was having the trailer so someone else could rent it. They were extremely rude. I managed to get it turned in right at 1300. I would not recommend to anyone to use Uhaul nor will I be. This was absolutely ridiculous, this is how Uhaul treats its military members and single moms. Tried to turn-in equipment at UHaul on Bent Grass Meadows, but was told I needed to go to location on my contract. It is my understanding that you could drop off at any uhaul. This location was about a mile from my home. So, I had to drive another 30 minutes.Kevin S.
Getting the U-boxes delivered was not fun. They did not have the same set up here in Montana, U-haul told us to schedule the movers that we had already paid for, then the movers said they couldn't do it. Then they - the movers referred us to a relative who could do it but it cost twice as much as what U-haul quoted us and we paid for. The Colorado side worked well, not so the Montana side. Would not use U-haul for this kind of moving again due to this issue.paul L.

Location was fine, except for the fact that they allowed me to reserve a 10Ã-10 locker, which they did not have available. This was also not even mentioned when I called the location to confirm my reservation while driving to the site. As far as UHaul the corporation is concerned: go fuck yourself, you snakes.MATTHEW W.
Fill up tank to 1/4 beforehand. I started with 30 miles to Empty. Truck smelled like weed and cigarettes. Also truck seemed to struggle shifting and may have transmission issues or something because it drank gasoline even with 0 load.Jarrod M.

I stored unit since March, but my daughter and son-in-law dropped truck off because I was still living in Arizona. I tried to get a 2nd unit reserved for my last delivery in September. It took forever to get someone on the phone and usually I was transferred to UHaul main hub, not N Academy site which I wanted. I got reservation numbers and was cancelled out 3 separate times!! (This was time consuming and frustrating since I was still living in Arizona. My son-in-law finally got me a unit closer to their home! Your office is fine for walk-ins, but not favorable for call-ins!DAWN C. | Overall Experience
I wasn't told about gas and how much was needed to replace. I assumed it was to fill it back up, wasn't paying attention and ended up putting $55 in the truck and I only went 4 miles! When I asked about Reimbursing the gas I was told no and it was my fault and that I was told how much to put in. If I knew that I only had to put 2/8 of a tank in it I wouldn't have spent $55 on gas! Very rude, never received one price of paper for my rental with charged details! Very unhappy with experience and ended up paying $110 to drive the truck 4 miles!!!!! Ridiculous!!!!!Lawana B.
I waited around for 10-15 minutes before being helped. After my vehicle was inspected the person told me I was over in miles and days, I explained that I had been given an additional 5 days and 500 miles free from the pickup location. He said he would look into it and call me back after contacting the pickup location (they didn't answer when I was there). After waiting two days for a call I received an email receipt notifying me I had been billed for $776.18 which I was notified of in advance and I believed to be complimentary. Not to mention if I had known that I was going to be billed I would have returned the truck at least two, possibly three days earlier. Overall I'm very unsatisfied and feel like I was not properly informed regarding the terms of the additional days and miles.CASEY DOUGLAS R.

I love this location and the staff was very helpful. Everything went very smoothly. However, my only complaint was my reservation was moved to this location. I ordered the trailer at a location up north near my house, but my reservation was moved to this location 30 minutes south. Again this is not the locations issue and they were amazing, but I definitely should been transferred to a closer location. Last, the website to check in the equipment would not pull up my reservation. This was also frustrating because I did not want to be charged for a late fee even though I was 2 hours early. Again not the locations fault, but I wanted to express my frustrations.Benjamin T.

The whole experience was a mess, the first tow dolly we got had a flat tire and that delayed us for more than an hour. They put on another tow dolly but apparently they put on an in-town one that wasn't supposed to leave the Springs. They called us about that trying to have us return it and that cost us more time from our moving schedule. They were only going to refund the cost of the tow dolly if we returned it, not even the insurance.Lucas H.

The customer service was horrible and rude. She was taking her time doing nothing and wouldn't help me with app, knowing that I was in hurry to pickup a tv before the store closed. It took me 48 minutes to get a van and then she was complaining that she didn't want to help me. I will never go there again, the staff there is useless. No wonder it only has 3 stars.Ada L.

I was told different things by different u-haul offices. One would reserve a storage for me then when I show up it never was available to begin with. I understand the concept of "first come , first serve." I understand that u-haul has many people canceling or not showing up when there's a reservation. What I don't understand is if that's how it's done, why would should I reserve a storage if it's not even going to be reserved for me? To reserve is to book in advance, to secure. If it's not secure, why offer? I wish the u-haul company gave clientes a chance by giving us a time limit on our reservation and if we don't show, our reservation is canceled immediately. But now I know what I know and I won't be making any reservations, walk-ins is best when it comes to u-haul. But over-all service was average , good people and good customer service, just not very good at communications between different office locations. It would be good if the on-line system would allow us to add a second driver's information so we wouldn't have to take up more time to do it at the store. Also, a quick orientation of the inside instruments in the truck would be nice. I don't think the mirrors are adjustable so I could never use them very well without really moving my head a lot. Make sure the customer gets the location he rented from. I got a call telling me I was to pick up the trailer over 40 minutes away from my location. My confirmation showed to pick up at location I had originally ordered with. I called u haul and was told there was a glitch with the system. Was having trouble with mobile check in. Manager was busy and asked a employee to assist. She walks us to a sign with instructions and has us start all over rather than ask where we were in the process. Then decides to have us start a new reservation. Then I call and ask if I have to return to their location and was told if I did not I would be charged 4x rental. I found bother interactions rude and did not need to be threatened when asking a simple yes or no question. I will not us this location again.Shannon W.

The employees were on top of everything and I was in and out within 20 minutes, it would have been faster but the computer was running very slow. The worst service possible. Originally reserved a truck and storage online for Thursday June 10th. it didn't apply the free 1st month so I called the next day, spoke with a Uhaul rep who applied the free month. Thursday came I went to get the storage and was told other people were ahead of me, even though the I was told it was mine. The person at Uhaul helped me move the truck reservation to Friday, and told me the Galley/ Academy location had a storage unit. since I needed the storage. The next day I called and asked for that location directly, they helped me get the storage... Later on Friday, I head to the new location for the storage, I was told the same thing, thankfully the guy working there was able to find something for me... Next I went to pick up the truck... When I got there and started to check out, I notice my reservation was cancelled... I call they get the reservation set back up, I go through the steps online, get the 4 digit code for the lock box... it doesn't work, I call the prompted number, tell the rep what happens, she puts me on hold, about 15 minutes on hold I decided to use the chat. That rep gives me a few codes to try and none of the work, I'm told I have to wait on the phone... by this time is almost a half hour. I continue to wait, call from a different line and I'm told they're closed... Waited about 45 minutes and finally hung up... after panicking about not being able to get my stuff, finally a rep calls me and after her apeaking with a manager she gets me a truck at a location pretty far away st 9:30 at night... (Tiffany was amazing by the way and very helpful, the only saving grace through this whole ordeal...) So to recap. Got the reservation for a truck and strorage for Thursday at 5:30. Wasn't able to get anything unil 9:30 on Friday... Absolutely worst experience Ive ever had... Except for Tiffany... she was the only saving grace for the whole experience...Sean R. | First Impressions

I was very disappointed yesterday when arriving to unload my UBox! I had received a reminder call making sure I would be there on Sunday and the UBox would be outside. It wasn't and then they couldn't find it. The people at the desk acted like it was the most difficult thing they had ever done!
