Get new office employees. Teach them some customer service skills and how to tell time since the lady who works there locked the doors ten minutes prior to your posted closing time and ignored myself and another customer knocking at the door. Her and another female employee literally acted like we weren't there and got up and left the lobby area. Unbelievable. These comments address the Uhaul corporation in general, and not any specific location. I found the process of reserving a truck to be filled with incompetence at every turn. Paper work errors did not reflect what was discussed on the phone. Inaccuracies with dates, times, locations, and pricing permeated the paperwork, even after phone calls to correct the situation. Uhaul's web site is user unfriendly. Customer service is centralized and impersonal. I spent as much energy getting errors corrected as I did making the reservation in the first place.Patricia B.

I was charged two 30 dollar charges because I was 3 gallons shy of where tank was when I picked up the truck. When I got it there was a shy more than a quarter tank. One of the 30$ charges was because it was shy of a quarter tank!!! UHaul should be better than that. Also was never told truck only went to 75 mph. Would have been nice going in to trek.GEORGE G.
Fix the UHaul App. It wasn't working when I tried to return the truck after hours. I had to go back the next morning to make sure everything was good. That's not good when you're trying to sell the ease of pick ups and returns.FELICIA L.
Very unhappy with the entire drop off!!! First I called for drop off location the morning it was due and after driving 20 miles to the location we were told we had to do to an entirely different location to check in. Why were we given incorrect information initially? Then to be told we had to go to a different location with not even an apology did not sit well at all. To top that off we were told the other location was 2 blocks away. This was incorrect information it was more like several miles. The whole drop off was a feasco.JOHN C.

I had a trailer I picked up and they keep them all crowed in one area so the bigger vehicles have a very hard time after hooking up getting out W/O hitting anything. So they should pull the trailers out to make it easier for the customers.Douglas D.

1. The van had splashes of soda from the lower part of the seats to the back of the steering wheel and driver's door. 2. The whole van smelled like pot smoke and on the cargo area floor there was an empty glas vial from a joint (learned that from the label). 3. There tons of (minor) unmarked scratches and dents on the inside and outside of the van that I had to document - another 20 minutes lost. 4. When I tried to return the van (at 9.30 pm) the odometer picture did not get submitted amd the app kept asking me to take the picture without a clear error message. I lost 45 minutes until a Uhaul help line associate helped me solve the problem. All in all, a very frustrating experience.Zeno R.

Every in-store experience I had was great. The call center, shipping and scheduling is what let us down. My Ubox shipped late, when I called to find out what was going on because it was 3 days late shipping and I hadn't heard anything, a rude young lady in scheduling gave me a hard time for calling her when it was customer service that put me through to her in the first place. Then, when I called to schedule pickup of my Ubox to bring it home and unpack it, they put it in to be unloaded at the storage site. The store didn't have staff to put the box on a trailer making the convenience of having a Ubox pretty tough to see as I made multiple trips shuttling my belongings home. I know things could have been worse, everything worked out after all and my issues were only inconvenience - but I paid for that convenience. I travel for work and I thought I had found a great solution to moving city to city with Ubox, but I need systems that I can plan on and trust. To you it looks like a box arrived 3 days late and a guy had to offload his own stuff, no big deal. To me, the things I put in the box or kept with me were decided upon based on the arrival date of the box. The plans I had made to use things in the box had to be pushed 3 days; the time it took to shuttle my things home took all day instead of just a morning, pushing even more plans; I was then supposed to have a Ubox at my home that we planned to keep using, putting some things in the empty box and storing them for the holiday, all of that had to be changed and new plans made. The manager of the store said they could put my box on a trailer later in the day but I needed to be done with moving and using the items by then. Every step of the way, the face-to-face representatives were wonderful and did all they could for me. They should be commended because they spend their days fixing the mistakes made by people that will never be held accountable or know the trouble they've caused.David W.

Arrived at the address where the reservation was booked, only to be shortly told "we don't have any trucks." I inform them and show them my reservation and was simply told again that no trucks were present and they were not sure what to tell me. She said go 500 feet down the street to another Uhaul location for storage and vehicles. I explained to them the situation and I managed to get a truck, however every single experience with this location is physically draining. The cost, the customer service, that actual business exchanges are just God awful. As a customer I feel like I am voluntarily being mugged because they know they have a good location and makes it convenient for customers. Again, I had to go out of my way because of Uhauls questionable operational designs and standards.KEVIN M.
I had to go to multiple locations before I was able to pick up the truck. The location from where I picked up the truck was more than 10 miles from where I was originally supposed to pick up the truck and there was no change in the allowed mileage. My 83 yr old mother in-law received a call from an employee by the name of John demanding that she have the rental truck returned by NO LATER than 2pm that day as he had already had it booked for another customer.. Upon my returning home approximately 10 minutes later, she told me what he had said to her. She was almost in tears distraught. She had been intimidated as though she had violated some law. I immediately called U-haul customer assistance who confirmed that we were good until the following day. The following day at approximately 11am I received the same type of threatening condescending phone call from "John". Unfortunately for john I did not respond as she did. We have been extremely good customers of U-haul and feel that this type of customer assistance agent either requires significantly more training or GET RID OF HIM. Thank you very much. Randy D. The experience at rental was good. It was the return. I returned on Sunday at 8am and parked behind the line of trucks already parked for early return. I walked to Bobby who was working and told him I was returning the truck. He was wearing a mask and could not understand him (he was about 15 ft. away). I asked him twice, then asked can you remove your mask so I can hear him. He pulled his mask down and yelled at me to stay in the truck. I told him you don't need to yell. I walked up to the truck he was getting into to move on the passenger side and said repeatedly what is your name so I can talk to your manager. He started the truck and drove off, and I walked with him and he crossed me in the 20ft. truck. (Major safety issue). He parked and I asked one of the employees his name and he told me it was Bobby. Bobby got off the car I told him off, and asked for his full name he tried to hide his name and ran off to the office to his manager. 3 things that ruined my experience, Bobby & his attitude, he crossed me in the truck and could have hit me, then hides his badge so I could not get his name! I did escalate to manager and advised him he needs to pull footage on this guy. Bobby is a major hazard to U-Haul!!John S.

All are good with the exception of steps going to the storage itself. A ramp would've help alot in this situation. 1hr load took 3hrs for 1person. Room was far away from the stairs so it had to be transfer to another cart which is a challenge on its own, because cart had to be lifted up the stairs.Richard B. | Online Move In

I reserved my unit online but was asking me to upload my home owners insurance since I was doing this from my phone I decided to walk in.. the guy who help me wanted rude but kept telling me I was second on the reservation list. I told how is that possible I have it for today. We kept going back and forth I was getting upset I was asking for a manager when then he realized that he was incorrect and proceeded with the reservation.. he then said I would need to pay for a lock I advised him that it said on internet shows that it was free.. he then said because I walked in had to pay for it.. I have had the storage unit for about 3 years. I did not just move in. i have had automatic payments set up for several years. My last payment was not automatically taken out, so I received a late notice with a late payment fee added. I called and the late payment fee was taken off but this should not have happened at all. The reason for below average rating is that no one at the facility showed us how to access facility after hours. No one let us know that there are two entrances. Main one in the front of building and the after hours access in back of the building. Showed up to move daughter's college dorm items at 8:00pm and could not access building. Had to call u-haul customer service who had to track down after hours manager who then explained how to access building afterhours. After wasting over an hour, we then had to actually run to load everything into unit before 10pm after access hours stopped. Spoke to another custmer there at the same time and they explained same thing happened to them as well. Except for this issue, I would have provided a 5 star rating.
