The cargo van reeked. It smelled like wet dog and vomit. The girl who took my initial reservation did not listen to my needs and instead of trying to understand what I wanted, she transferred the call to someone else who was even worse. I rent from uhaul frequently. This was by far the most difficult and frustrating experience. The phone number was input wrong so I never got a confirmation call of where to pick up my vans. Thankfully the person I spoke with from the main customer service phone number was able to get me back on track within minutes. I wasted a lot of time dealing with the first 2 people. 80th and Federal store needs some serious customer service training. I would not recommend this store to anyone because of the difficulty of parking and getting in and out of the property. I continue to use this location because it is 2 minutes away from my house. The inside of the store is cramped. When busy, there isn't anywhere to sit, it gets hot and stuffy. This location is dated and needs a remodel. Much nicer locations elsewhere!

The store had me check the fuel level before I left with the van, showed at 3/4 full. When i returned the van with 3/4 full they tried to tell me it was lower than when I left it. Also, the online mileage rate ending up being 13 cents/mile more expensive once I went to check out. False advertising, and that is absolutely not okay.

We used the "mobile app" to sign up for a van, when we got to the Uhual store, even using the mobile app we still had to stand in line and wait for our turn, even though the mobile app is supposed to be "faster" don't bother with it. But the worker who helped us was so nice and got us out fast!

FIRST: this review is not associated with the staff at the Westminster U-haul location. They were outstanding, friendly and the equipment was perfect. The reason for my POOR review is that I originally rented a truck for 72 hours and was sent a confirmation of such. Less than 24 hours before I was due to pick it up, I received a call from a U-haul call center, saying I could only have the truck for 24 hours. There was no offer to help find another vehicle, and whoever called just said "you can only have it one day". This caused MAJOR issues as I had people flying in to help me move. I found this unacceptable, especially when I had a confirmation, in writing, of 3 days. I won't be doing business with U-haul in the future. Again, the staff at the Westminster U-haul were great.

I told the woman working there I had a 4 bedroom house and she gave me a truck for a STUDIO apartment. I am also moving to conifer. She put me down for 80 miles. I had to make 3 EXTRA TRIPS because they didn’t have a bigger truck for her mess up. CHARGING ME WAY MORE MONEY than if someone who knew what they were doing helped me. My king size bed didn’t even fit in the truck she set me up with. The guy who called to confirm my reservation because I was running a little behind was so beyond rude. Horrible. I would NEVER recommend this location. Unprofessional and unhelpful, the worst combo to have in a customer service setting.

I originally scheduled my pickup location next to my house. U-Haul changed it to another location due to an inspection. This cost me over an hour of my time an extra mileage. The local U-Haul said there was nothing they could do about it. U-Haul owes me $25.

Drivers side window regulator was broken and the window was fixed in position half way up. I mentioned this to the attendant and he said his boss knew about it but hadn’t fixed it. It rained that afternoon, but fortunately not hard enough to enter the truck cab. I had to leave the truck for about 30 minutes to run an errand and could not secure the vehicle because of the window issue. The vehicle inside was clean.

Absolutely terrible service here. I scheduled a hitch installation three weeks in advance. I got a voicemail from Lane about three hours before my appointment was set saying "I won't be able to do it, really busy... reschedule for during the week". After calling the number I was given for scheduling, a very helpful woman on the phone mentioned she was unsure why they couldn't install it that day because their schedule was clear. She made some calls and I heard back from Lane again about a half hour later telling me that they would get the install done. I went it, got the hitch installed, and found that they had run the wiring to auxiliary power inside the cab of my truck rather than to the pre-wired harness sitting right next to the hitch on the outside that was made for that very purpose. Their solution was to "run the wire outside and close the door on it", and I also found on my drive home that there was no power to my AC after they worked on the wiring. All in all this location has incredibly unprofessional employees that do sloppy work.

Bad customer service, Charged me an extras 32 dollars for 2 extra hours and never was told that I was going to be charged. I called and asked for an extra 2 hours and he said sure until 6 and hung up my turn in was a 4pm. Never once did they tell me that there was a extra charge

Get better management and employees to help and not send us to a different location along with other customers that were there. Also, update computer software so doesn't crash always.

the second person who I worked with to convert my contract over and add the insurance was GREAT turned in my van and checked out at the vehicle he was friendly, knew what he was doing and did great job.

The truck size reserved wasn't available since another customer didn't return it on time. They were able to get a smaller truck to me on the spot which was greatly appreciated. Good service, attentive staff, would recommend. Thanks!

More employees. Lines were long, even with reservations made. Moved slow, as there were only 2 at the front desk. The little Trujillio girl (don't remember her first name) was excellent. It was bc of her that the whole operation ran as smoothly as it did.

Excellent service, got in and out quickly and return was way as pie. Van worked great, brand new, low mileage, and easy to operate. I would rent from here again any time.
